[Q] Getting phone to report as Galaxy S

I have Captivate and I need it to report itself as Galaxy S.
I know I need to edit build.prop in root/system. Is there any other file I need to edit?

Tun.ko for SGS I9000B

Hi everyone,
first of all, thanks to everyone willing to help a newbie! I have been struggling to be able to use Cisco VPN (VPNC) on my SGS.
I have read many guides, and they all seem to point to the same steps: I have rooted my phone, but now I'm missing the TUN.ko library VPNC needs to run. I have read many forums, and it seems there is a particular tun version for every kernel which I need to install.
When I try to insmod the tun.ko version I have I got the following error:
"2.6.32.9-27220-g328f560 preempt mod_unload ARMv7 should be 2.6.32.9 mod_unload ARMv7"
Any chance anyone might lead me to what version of tun might work for 2.6.32.9? I would be amazing if someone can help me.

[Q] vpnc galaxy tab 7' 2.2

hi guys,
need some help setting the vpnc app (widget) on my samsung galaxy tab with android 2.2. I rooted the device but when running the prerequisites it says i have no TUN support. I somehow have to find a file where I should have config_tun=y but i can not find that exact file. I searched a lot on the forums before deciding to open this thread and the conclusion is that I have to install the TUN.ko module. But the steps I found to do this are not helpfull for me since I can not find files or directories specified on my phone: I can not find config.gz file, i do not have modules dir in the /system/lib....
If anyone can help please do so.
So te question would be: "How can i enable TUN on samsung Galaxy Tab android 2.2 ? "

i want a software or custome ROM which has open vpn client that supports http header like new pc version for my samsung galaxy s i9000... guys please help me.. currently i am on cf-root jvo kernel and planning to move to Darky ROM 10.4.2.. sorry if i have posted in the wrong section..

headers support only available for ICS +
versions you can Search in the play store.
Even so, is the application which
has support DroiVPN HTTP header and
proxy here is if you're interested
You can dowload thee two apps in the play store
NOTE: The app DroiVPN requires:
Android 2.0+2.3
Root
Tun.ko module installed
For ICS + it'd don required

[Q] fuse.ko for Galaxy Ace

Hi everyone.
I'm looking for fuse.ko module for Galaxy Ace with JB 4.2.2 (OldDroid CM10.1).
I've searched both in XDA forums and google. Unfortunatelly there is no fuse.ko for Galaxy Ace.
Every one that I found was for other phones.
Did You know where I can get this module? Or if somebody can compile this?
I'll be very thankfull for helping.
I'm still searching. If I'll find first, I'll post here information and link for others.
