[Q] Having trouble connecting LGOB to the PC Suite [Q] - LG Optimus Black

Whenever I try to connect my Lg Optimus Black to the PC Suite it isn't recognised...
Any ideas?
TomByrne94

What operating system are you using on your PC? I wasn't able to correctly install the drivers under Vista, I've only managed to get the thing running on an XP system.

Windows 7, i've installed the drivers a few different times now and they seemed to work each time...

Problem resolved.

Any chance of sharing the solution, in case any other person is having the same issue and lands on this page after a search? Thanks!

I just reinstalled the drivers a load of times and made sure that mass storage mode wasn't enabled...

Problem with drivers

Hello
I have a big problem with the drivers to my phone in both Vista and XP, when I connect my phone it is not recognized by the computer.
It shows up as an unknown device and I am unable to update the drivers, it says that I already have the best avaliable drivers.
I can not access the phone thru the computer.
I have searched for answers and nothing has worked I have even formated my computer but still the same problem.
Does anybody have any solutions or thoughts about this problem?
//Johan
Have you tried downloading the Android sdk and directing Windows to the drivers supplied? It's weird you have a problem with XP, my Dell recognized the phone first time.
Clinton
Yeah I have tried that it just says that the best available drivers are installed.
Yeah it is weird, it worked for a while and then it just stopped working after playing around with som tethering apps. But I thought that it would work again after formatting the computer, but no.
Check the Sapphire wiki in my signature - fezza added some info on how to fix driver issues in there yesterday.
Solved it by Hard-reset on phone, just plugged it in and BAM ...

[Q] MTP USB Device won't install on Windows

When I connect my Galaxy S to my PC it starts to install the drivers.
The driver consist of 3 parts, but the last one, the MTP USB device, fails to install. I tried restarting my pc after installing Kies and also tried alternate drivers for Windows 7 x64.
When I connect my phone in Kies mode I get an error saying:
FsUsbService64
Service Initiali Failed
(screenshot attached)
Anyone familiar with this problem and/or it's solution?

I have the same problem, however using Windows XP 32 bit SP3
And I get:
Try this, its good for win7 32bit and 64bit also. (My girlfriend and I both have our own SGS, and her win7 32bit is working flawlessly with this driver just like my win764bit.)

Thanks a lot! I will try this later on when I'm able to connect to my pc.
If this doesn't work, could it have something to do with the firmware version?

All I know is that this usb driver package helped me and my gf either, without this pack I got the same error like you did, and since then everything works properly. If this package cant help you then I have to admit this is beyond my knowledge.
Just found our that i left my usb cable at work
Thanks again for your suggestion. I will try this after the weekend.

Some more info.
The last one is from Event Viewer, where it claims that this version of Windows does not support Windows Portable Device drivers.
What a bunch of bollox, my HTC HD2 synced just fine. Must be Samsung crappy driver I guess.
And yeah, I got v 4.5 of windows installer.
update: after lots of googling, I've solved the issue.
re-installed Windows Mediaplayer 11 !

huh?.. mediaplayer? wierd solution ..
I had this issue too, on my moms pc.
I installed kies befor plugging my phone to the pc, it worked perfectly then, installed the drivers and all. could not see if you had tried that. so its worth a shot
another thing to keep in mind
open TASK Manager in Windows
and make sure ADB.EXE is not running
if ADB.exe is there just end task it
when ADB.exe is left in memory, it locks up the USB connection with the phone, and Kies goes into dumb mode

Not really, WMP 10 is the one responsible for the stock MTP driver.
My old computer worked fine with kies, but this new 64 bit one just wont insall the mtp driver, even if i try manually.
Just a quick note on what I discovered last night when trying to get my SGS connected.
Bluetoothe needs to be off
It has to be using the stock Home screen I was as ever using LauncherPro. As soon as I switched back to stock it connected.

try what I did, re-install WMP 10 (or 11)
I don't know if this is obvious or not... but if your running a downloaded Launcher such as Launcher Pro... make sure you revert back to the stock launcher when trying to connect to KIES. This has been my problem until I stumbled across it last week.

have you tried killing all samsung/kies processes in the taskmanager (ctrl+shift+esc) that could help
If your phone is only not recognized in download mode, try this solution:
http://arvindgaba.com/computer/sams...o-install-for-samsung-galaxy-s-kies-resolved/
It worked for me when my Windows 7 x64 suddenly wouldn't recognize mine. Something gets screwed by a Windows update in some cases (one which specifically supplies Samsung drivers).
Thanks

Thanks, I have this problem for 40 days (I spend many, many time looking for the solution), sometimes my SGS connect (I need to reeboot 1 to 3 times or more) and connect. When is connected I disconnect and try again and the same problem the PC dont recognize de SGS, but now I connect then disconnect, connect again and work. I hope that this solution work always. I hope, up to now work. I was looking for a solution all days, I saw this alternative, but it was difficult to do, but with the link all was very simple and the most important it work for me. Sorry for my english, and Thanks again I dont try in download mode, but i have an alternative to go to download if the SGS is connected. Carlos
But when I reboot the SGS the problem appears again I will continue with this issue. I dont know I am lost.

[Q] Galaxy Tab Issue

Not sure when it began but I am unable to connect my tab to any pc. I have tried 4 different ones. It just gives me the error message "usb device not recognized". I have the custom rom from overcome(the latest one) installed. I put the tab in download mode and the same issue remains. I turned on/off usb debugging and it still doesnt work. I even tried the *#7284#. That did not help either. Please help.
Hi..firstly, welcome to XDA Samsung Tablet Forum. I see you already register since Nov 10 but your post so far is only 2 post. So I'm consider you are still newbie (same like me
Anyway, back to your question.
Have you go to samsung webpage and download the kies?
http://www.samsung.com/my/support/d...WDXME&prd_mdl_name=GT-P1000&srchword=GT-P1000
Do that first, after install it, go to >>Tools>>Install driver. Click it.
make sure your tab is connected to your PC via USB.
After you click the install driver, kies will download the driver for you and it will automatically detect your USB tab.
please try.
Is your pc windows xp or 7? W7 doesnt need any drivers installed, but W xp needs drivers.

Sounds like a fault with windows. Try running updates or use a registry cleaner/fixer see if that helps.
CCleaner has one.
[EDIT] Ah I misread, looks like you have tried other systems with same issue. Not sure then.
I'm assuming you're not using the same cable with all of them, otherwise you'd want to try a different cable. If you've tried the different cables between the different devices and still the same issue, you might roll one of them back to stock and see if that fixes the issue or not. It's possible you have bad usb ports, but more than likely it's a software issue on the tab.

How about the usb cable? Possibility is high due to cable itself. Since you using the same cable with all PC. You should try to change it.
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA App
Bad cable or bad tab. Borrow a cable to eliminate that.
Not sure, When i was reading instruction for how to update with overcome rom it said that if Odin doesnt recognise the tab try a different USB port.

solved: Drivers problem

Hello everybody, I have a problem with my i9000 and my laptop, I today i dicided to format my laptop and install win 7, it's not the first time I've done it, but this time I haven't been able to successfully install the drivers to connect the laptop and the phone.
I believe that I try it all, download keys, download samsung driver for mobile phones x86, x64, windows update, tried to find the driver using the system32 folder from another pc where the i9000 is properly detected, and noting seems to work.
The only thing i haven't tried is to change the rom, but if the phone was correctly recognised by the laptop yesterday, this shouldn't be the problem, but currently i'm using SuperNexus 2.0 rom.
If any one have any ideia of what to do next i'm willing to try it out.
Best regards to everyone
Solved, i don't know why, but when i enable the usb tethering, it instaled all the drivers correctly.
