I was wondering if there has been any custom ROMS that have the MAngo 7720 build with Chevron unlock built into it already? I have the DFT's HSPL and waiting to just flash the ROM rather than go to all these lengthy tutorials involving downgrading and then upgrading.
Lol, look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=17396407#post17396407
Any news on wifi tethering yet?

Hi Ansar!
Can you post your ROMs without any update integrated? I ask this because without NODO Chevron is working and jailbrake can be preserved though official M$ updates.
I need HD7_HTC_Europe_1.70.901.0 without NODO to be able to sideload apps.
Another workaround is that you include Chevron and some relock prevention in your ROMs and update them to latest official M$ level before posting.
Is this possible?

Cina.
You can use Rom with v.1.6.x from Here , when you have patch with Chevron use Chevron patch from Forum and now you can make all Updates and you will not Lose your patchd phone pn me and i will search tomorrow all Files i write from phone now

Hi!
I use 1.6 right now patched, chevroned and updated to latest. I have an issue of my carrier name probably due to radio version. Carrier signal should be "T-Mobile H" but it is displayed as "T-Mobile Hyyyyy". I know its not a big problem but it disturbes my a lot. With 1.7 I have it O.K. but I couldn't sideload.
Regards,
Cina.
May i know what is the difference between branded and unbranded any example of it? is it the phone or the os or something else.Need clarification.
Thank You
I second this question
still unanswered
Branded roms have the network/operator logos, settings and its been customized by them. Plus any updates will come from them.
Debranded is an untouched generic usually eurowwe or Asia wwe rom that's not been customized and is how it should come from HTC. So updates will come direct and a lot quicker.
HD7S Rom
Just ordered an HD7S and i know that it comes pre-installed with the latest Nodo Rom. I just want to know if it is possible to downgrade this phone to a pre Nodo firmware so that i can use Chevron to sideload apps like an HD7 or is there an Developer unlocked rom that can work with the hd7s and if so what firmware is it at?
does anyone have an answer to my question?
I have a hd7s too I have been able to flash custom rom on it but make sure you back up the stock att one. Oh and we can probably get the mango beta but it sucked on my hd2 not sure about hd7s. I would just wait for that to come out then downgrade to unbranded rom prenodo unlock and the upgrade to mango unlocked or maybe someone will make us an unlocked rom!!!!

Thanks for your answer, well i don't know mine is branded or debranded.but it's ok
I've been running Schubert's Mango 7720 for over a week (and love it, minus the game apps not working). But with the official release for our phones is out, I'd like to get the games working too.
When I would try to update it through Zune Software, it would say I'm up to date with the 7720.
Is there a way to downgrade to NoDo, then run the update as normal to get the official mango update?
what do you mean?
Schubert is the HD7/HD7S.
what are you trying to do exactly?
what HD7 do you have exactly and on what carrier?

makes much more sense now.
only way is to either...
flashing a NoDo ROM, then updating to Mango thru Zune, or...
flashing an official Mango ROM, or...
trying other custom ROMs...
perhaps, my intrinsicROM? it is based on the official TMOUS Mango ROM.
official NoDo and Mango ROMs can be found on the XDA Wiki Shipped ROMs page. link in my signature.
or
for custom ROMs, check out the HD7 WP7 Development thread. or for my ROM, link is in my signature.

p.s. sorry, couldn't resist 'promoting' my intrinsicROM.
Hello
I´ve got a German HTC Incredible S with Clockworkmod. How can I upgrade my phone-rom to the official 4.0-Rom by HTC? Updating with the official software-update function doesn´t work. I think, that´s because of my Clockwork-Mod. What do I have to do to update my phone?
Thanks
You have s-off or unlocked bootloader? To install official HTC released ICS update, you would have to either go back to s-on or locked bootloader and run an RUU (WWE in your case). A better option would be to flash one of the ICS roms cooked by our developers.

Depends on if you are also S-OFF with Revolutionary. If you are, forget the OTA and look at mike1986's ARHD ICS ROM. It is built off of the official ICS RUU.
Hello
I am new to the Windows Phone scene. Last week I brought the HD7 at a decent price. I followed the guide and flashed the Deepshining ROM and I am impressed with it but I would like to try a few others.....
So my question is do I need to downgrade the phone to NoDo every time I want to try a new ROM?
I'm thinking of trying nextgen+ next
Thanks in advance

No, you do not need to downgrade. It safe to flash another Rom.
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using xda premium
u dont need to downgrade to NODO or any earlier version but however take care not to unkowingly update yr bootloader by flashing a stock rom
This happens if u update yr phone in zune or flash a stock rom that comes with the bootloader inside it
because zune updates come with bootloader
Updated bootloaders will lock yr phone and prevent u from flashing custom roms
