I have an AT&T Galaxy Tab, and this has happened twice so far. The first time I was on the stock ROM (rooted only) and one day it wouldn't access the internet through Wifi (I did not have a data plan active at the time, and could not test). It would show up as connected to the access point (tried home router and my Droid 2 through wireless tether), but would not transmit data through. Did some searching, and found a few threads with suggested solutions, but none worked. I bit the bullet and flashed Overcome Jupiter and all was good again. A few days ago, I got a month of data and used it for a few days, then all of a sudden, no data would transfer, even though I had 4 full bars of "H" service. Tried phone tether, home Wifi, nothing works.
Solutions I have tried, wiping data and cache, wiping Dalvik Cache, and all the previous fixes suggested (having to do with IP address allocation and wiping a file on the tab, can't remember which one at the moment).
Does anybody have any ideas what may be happening, and how to fix it? I don't want to have to keep reflashing my Tab every few weeks when data stops working.
Alright, now that I'm home, I also tried applying the Kratos No Wipe thinking maybe there was a file that got messed up that the no wipe zip may fix so I don't lose my data. I guess if nobody knows whats going on with it, I'll have to backup all my data and do a full restock and rewipe.
Did a fresh restock and Kratos Wipe install, and everything works again, wifi and data service. Still don't know what happened though. Guess I should just keep backing up regularly and do a fresh wipe and reinstall whenever I lose service.

Hi, few days ago on a long drive while I was using the phone (music, gps, wifi scanning) suddenly it run out of internal memory, everything stopped working. I had to reboot it, it was still not fine, but since I was driving I just stopped paying attention to it. Next day it seemed to work again but since then I can't use my wifi.
Activating wifi says few seconds later "unable to scan for networks" and it deactivates itself again. Before I try with factory reset and lose all my settings I wanted to ask here for help. I found some similar problems in forum or google but its about other phones and nothing helped so far.
The wifi is not broken because thetering works - others can use my phone as AP, but I can't use the wifi to connect to any network :-(
N1, Android 2.2, FRF91, Rooted with one click universal root.
Thanks for any advice.
Turn off Wifi, download and use "Cache Cleaner" on Market,
or go to recovery, wipe dalvik cache and cache.
reboot your phone and see if it solves the problem.

Should I do a backup first?
Will (some of or all) my settings be gone after this?
BTW: Something strange happens with my N1, yesterday and today after turning off, when I turned it on, the phone vibrated few times (around 7) shortly, screen remained black and I was not able to turn it on. Removing battery for a second helps.
Maybe I should finally move to Cyanogen, I think I will like it, but I never flashed a phone before, I'm scared I could break it.
Settings - Privacy - Factory Data Reset
Wifi fine again.
Hi
When my phone is connected to either my wifi or my schools wifi, I receive an ip address, but I can't load web pages at all. Also, I can't sync my my google account. Thinking that it might be a DNS problem, I've tried to enter a static ip at home and using 4.2.2.2 and 8.8.8.8 as DNS' but nothing works either. I'm running the latest Cyanogen mod(7.1.2), as I thought wiping cache, wiping dalvik, factory resetting and reinstalling another rom would fix my problem, but it hasn't. I've also tried different radio settings in the androdiani settings. This happened a few weeks after flashing a nightly build of cyanogen, so I don't think that was the problem, but I'm not ruling it out as a possibility. Does anyone know what might be wrong? Google hasn't helped much either.
can't ping using the pingback test in *#*#4636#*#* either, and won't even load me 192.168.1.1(my home router).
I had similar problem, but for me the pages loaded, but I had to wait 5-6 minutes to load them(on most of the pages, but not on all pages). But if I was on mobile data the pages loaded quickly. Today I installed pre alpha CM 9 and with it, it was quick
The ROM which is not suggested for daily use is better
i'm having the same problem. i just restored it back to factory setting (at least i think i did) i can connect to the wifi but it cannot load anything.
my wifi has great signal, but if i root the phone the wifi signal is very weak what can i do?
It didnt work for me either so i restored to factory setting and wiping the cache
try it
i have the same problem.
maybe you should check Radio type.
is 802.11b? You can try to exchange it for 802.11b\g\n
Very sorry for my english
Hello!
The other day, after updating my Phone to ATT's latest firmware, I realized my root access had been removed. That was the least of my problems, however. I then realized that I couldn't use the Google Play store, as an error would show up saying No Connection. I learned it was a problem with freedom, so I attempted to fix it, but instead settled with wiping my device to get a new start. After backing up my data, I performed a factory reset, and began setting up the device.
Basically, what I'm building up to, is that when I attempted to sign in, an error came up saying Can't establish a reliable connection to the server. I have tried using 2 different WiFi connections and cellular data. I performed a factory reset both through the Samsung settings, and through the Android "Terminal" Accessed through Pressing Home and Volume up during start up. I have nowhere to turn! What can I do to regain connections to the Google servers, or convince my phone that it can connect?

Since you've already wiped your phone and don't have to worry about losing data I would just reflash the firmware.

Thanks, Trying it now, I'll respond with the outcome.
It worked great, thanks so much!
towelroot:safestrap:stock rooted 4.4.2:minor wanam xposed tweaks
I replaced the digitizer on my wife's note3. BUT... it appears that mobile network is not connecting.
Here are the symptoms:
BIG ONE: time and date will not auto update.
phone calls work fine.
wifi works: Browser can connect to internet and I finally got a bad cert warning. Apps like facebook and ebay will not work (I assumed cuz of certificate issues).
I wiped cache and dalvik.
I am trying to avoid wiping data and having her start fresh... (ie me make the phone like it was before
factory reset fixes issue. But I'm still trying to find a way to avoid having to start from 0.
Have you checked your APN settings? I would do some googling and find some good APN settings, then add a new one and switch to that, see if it makes a difference. Beyond that you might try uninstalling Xposed for now and seeing if that helps. Is the ROM installed in the stock slot, or a Safestrap slot? I've heard of non-stock slot installation causing some problems.
Just throwing some ideas out here, hope you can get it figured out.
So, today my N6 started to show some strange signs when I was browsing internet when connected to my home WiFi. There was an exclamation mark together with WiFi icon showing no internet connection, but still I was able to open certain pages and use Facebook and similar apps, while many web pages were not opening, or some did open but partially rendered.
First time that happened, I rebooted my phone and everything worked fine, but now that doesn't fix it anymore. Same problem is with my data connection, so it's not a problem with my home network.
Anyone knows what's going on?
EDIT: Full wipe and fresh install fixed this problem for now. First tried wiping everything and then restoring from backup, but it didn't fix the problem, then I reflashed only radio and boot.img but that did not help either. I wanted to avoid fresh install, but it seems that was the only solution. Guess I'll stay stock for now. Still have no idea what caused this problem...
