Google talk w/ video - Motorola Droid 3

On my evo with cynogenmod I had google talk with video. Has anyone had any luck trying to get this to work with thr Droid 3

there was a OTA system update leak that was posted for a little while that people claimed had gtalk w/ video. looks like too many people were having issues (assuming this is why) so they removed the post to prevent other people from softbricking w/o an sbf or recovery.
I would love to see someone who had updated and got the gtalk w/ video app upload and post the .apk though!

If I unloaded the gtalk app, you'd still have to be rooted.
Sent from my DROID3 using XDA App

the update will be soon.. try to wait..

Why wait? It's available now via the update which you can download in the threads here and install i seconds.

Try checking out this article.
BTW, you are aware when you post a new thread the forums search for similar topics. This solution comes up, try to be a little more thorough next time.

Backup for Root Users

Does anybody know where I can get this? I just got a new Magic because my old one bricked, and I had it on my old one & made a backup on my SD card, but now I can't find it to restore my backup.
I was sure I got it with the fatality hero rom before, but I just installed that on my new Magic & it's not there, and I can't find it in the marketplace either. Does anybody have an .apk of it or mind pointing me in the right direction?
Thanks.
It's in the market, just redownloaded it 2 days ago. Just do a search "backup"

Just looked again, it's not there for me.
I just took another look as well, can't find it any where either. Maybe the Dev is updating or pulled it. You could email him direct. http://blackgins.wordpress.com/

MOD EDIT
Thread moved to Sapphire applications and games forum
Well, you are not only one... i can't download it either...
even http://www.cyrket.com/package/com.bg.smsbk is empty page...
I couldn't find it at the market this morning neither, good thing i have use "Backup for Root Users" to backup the 'apk' which include the app.
I uploaded the version i have here:
Link remove by moderator. If anyone wants it then download it through official channels such as Market or developer.
Removed from the market
The dev might have pulled the app from the market due to bugs, see his blog post http://blackgins.wordpress.com/2009/08/29/news-on-backup-for-root-users/. That post talks about version 3.3, but the last version I've seen in the market (2010-April-02, no updates since) was 4.1.4. I've uploaded it here:
Download Backup for root users 4.1.4 APK
Link remove by moderator. If anyone wants it then download it through official channels such as Market or developer.
NOTE: I've just tested this version on a rooted Nexus One with CyanogenMod 6 RC1, and it couldn't restore the SMSes and MMSes. No wonder the author removed the app from the market. There is still an old version that might work, Backup for root (old).

Anybody have this apk?

With the problems we are experiencing with the market on a few of our eris roms I was wondering if someone could help me out. I cant access the my verizon app and was wondering if someone could post the apk. Ive searched but havent came across it. Its a free app so there shouldn't be any problems posting it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Edit: Nevermind, I restored a previous nandroid backup, pulled the apk that I wanted, and restored to my most previous backup.
Here you go
Check the Links or QR code in my signature, my market app restores the market.

It force closed on my in the middle of doing it's thing I guess, i hit wait but it just locked up and sat there for ten minutes. Ive since installed the V3 leak with full market but I just thought i'd let you know it didn't work for me. Seems to work for everyone else though so no worries.

Hello I am pretty new on this thing of modding. I was wondering if anyone knows how to put to work the Sprint VVM on the hero with CM7?
I have tried several times of following some of the instructions here in the forum but I have had no luck.

Try this and let me know if this helps,
Basically What you do is, Back up the latest voice mail app in original/stock Rom and make a back up of it with "Titanium Backup" app which you can download for free from Android market.
Once you install CM7, install any version of voice mail and on top of that restore the backup (data only) that you took in stock Rom.
Let me know if you dont understand what I wrote and I will try again to explain my self better.
You can download sprint voice mail app from one of the links I posted below for you. I actually had the same issue and I followed
the instructions on the links below and it worked out for me =]
The instructions are kind of confusing so that's why I tried to summarize the steps for you above.
Good Luck!!

I recently updated my phone to 902 and lost root. I was trying to find a good link to pathsaver so I could revert my phone and reroot. I is killing me because Dhacker29 just release and Alpha 902 of ICS working with 3g and LTE. I am excited but cannot install safestrap because I lost root ;(. If someone can PLEASE provide me a good link to Pathsaver. I have checked all threads and forums and yet to find one. Thanks
Leroy

Look for this the topic "[script] safe bionic path saver + .901 + liberty3 2.0 - version 2". It's here on xda in android development and hacking/ android software and hacking general. Sorry I can't post the link because I'm using the xda app. This thread works. I just finished using the path finder.

i don't see it under that is it like the last page or what??
yeah, that's the last page. Sorry about that.
thanks dude so could you tell me i run this pathsaver batt file i think it is runs scripts and then i flash the 896 i think it is then flash 901 there after is this correct ?? watched the video a while back but forgot exactly i suppose i could watch it again but my sound don't work at the moment..
You also have to use RSDLite 5.5 to flash an xml file.
Hopefull I posted the link around enough so if anyone else needs it, they don't have the same problem finding it. I understand looking for something before asking, but they could have put it somewhere that we would search. I had to find it through Google, not an XDA search.
yeah i installed rsd i am basically trying to be able flash the ics ???
Hope everything goes well for you.

(ATRIX HD) <FIX!> Cant Update To Jellybean Because Of Customization <FIX!> AT&T Only!
Code:
AT&T ATRIX HD ONLY!!! AT&T ATRIX HD ONLY!!! AT&T ATRIX HD ONLY!!! AT&T ATRIX HD ONLY!!! AT&T ATRIX HD ONLY!!! AT&T
Update: uploading finished
Note: The ATRIX HD UTILITY 1.00 is illegal
Hey all!
If you've modified your system partition chances are you can not update to jellybean. Thankfully there is a quick fix.
First of all make sure your on the latest revision of Ice Cream Sandwich for your device (if you go to SETTINGS>ABOUT>SYSTEM UPDATES. You should see a 4.1.1 update; if it says that there is a 4.0.4 update then this tutorial is not for you. However if this is not for you, chances are I can get it to work soon.)
Basically what this tutorial will do is re-install Stock Firmware so that you are eligible for the Jellybean Update! Its quick and easy.
(1. Download this package:
firmware: http://sbf.droid-developers.org/dinara/7.7.1Q-144_MB886_MR1-22_SIGNED_CFC.xml.zip
xml: http://www.mediafire.com/view/?l4l81nxc49utk1y
RSD: http://www.mediafire.com/?yw9dh89jtqii71e
(firmware, xml and RSD LITE)
(2. Extract all archives to desktop place the separate xml file in with all firmware files this means: (put xml in with firmware files overwritting the xml it came with.)
(3. Turn Device Off
(4. Hold Volume + ; Hold Volume - ; Hold Power (ALL AT ONCE)
(5. You should now be in the boot-loader menu; QUICKLY use ONLY VOLUME DOWN! to scroll down to APFastboot, THEN PRES VOLUME UP!
(6. Plug device in (VIA USB) to computer.
(7. Install RSD Lite 6.1.4
(8. Open up RSD Lite 6.1.4
(9. Click (...) load / select the file you extracted (open 7.7.1Q-144_MB886_MR1-22_SIGNED_CFC.xml ; found in folder Firmware 4.0.4 in the folder you extracted.
(10. Press "Start" Be patient may take multiple tries
(11. After successful when device is restored go to Settings>About>System Updates>Download and Install Jellybean Update (may take up to 20 minutes to install be patient! Everything will be okay!)
(12. Enjoy your Jelly-beaned Atrix HD
REPLY OR POST NEW FOR Q/A / HELP
IF YOU DECIDE TO GIVE UP YOU MAY AUTOMATICALLY BOOT IN THIS BOOT MENU, JUST REPEAT STEP 4, THEN PRESS VOLUME UP!

I know there are other options but this is way more safe, this is Motorola official vs. a third party app.
BTW: That third party app is distributing Motorola's software without any citing what so ever: that is straight up illegal!
I don't own any of the firmware / xml / or the program. All the credit goes to motorola

Yes, if you've deleted some system files and it's causing your OTA to fail, reflashing your firmware will let the OTA install properly. I'm not sure why you're getting so excited?

Just a quick reminder, this shouldn't be your reason for posting more threads. Posting threads for the sake of posting threads is known as spamming and in most cases results in posts/threads being deleted and you having to start back from 0. Take this as a friendly reminder to anyone thinking of doing this as we're all meant to be here to help each other and share a common interest.
Thanks

The atrix hd utility was made for this sole purpose, and does this all in with one button.
Yeah, but where are the steps for using it???
Maybe im the only one on here never flashed before, using rsd or all in one...but this thread is really helpful at moment for me and other noobs..
There are so much other freds with less information here...pls let the thread open...ok?
The app was edited and doesn't work if your just now downloading it someone needs to re-upload I'm spreading this around. If you don't like this thread then leave, its really that simple. Obviously I'm not doing this for no reason I already got two thanks on it after about an hour, chill out.

Can't knock someone for trying to help. This is what the Atrix HD threads need more of! I've actually been kinda frustrated with the lack of details. It's just been expected that people know how to do things when not every one does... Thanks OP!
