hi, I've been a treo wm5 user for 3 years and I'm in love with it, but I think I should upgrade to something more cool than my old treo and maybe try Android. I'm confused whether to get a milestone or a samsung galaxy s. I tried to play with the galaxy s and it's so much cool and fast but I need a physical keyboard because it's much easier to type sms with it while driving than on a screen keyboard so I read about the milestone and it seems great, also I watched some videos for it on youtube and I saw that it can run the asphalt 5 game that I played on galaxy s, but I'm still confused :S .
so my question is why do you think I should get a milestone ?

SGS is so much better than a milestone - better processor, better graphics, more ram, more storage, so it would be a much smoother experience.
And besides, the milestone has a locked bootloader, which means we can't load any custom kernels onto it.
I will probably never buy another Motorola product again if they don't unlock their bootloader.
I dunno which texts better while driving.
Try some voice software like vlingo for that
Swype is really easy to use one handed. Milestone keyboard isn't that great anyway. And Android voice input is really good too.
The Milestone is a decent phone but the Galaxy S outclasses it in every way, it's a much newer, faster device and can run all sorts of great ROMs and kernels if you are into that. And the screen is just way better than Milestones.

thank you all, i think maybe I'll just wait for the galaxy s2 i heard it'll be released around may in my country
So, I've trying to run NOVA 2 on my Captivate, and I really loved Gingerbread (specifically Mosaic III Diet), so naturally I wanted to run it on gingerbread. Everything was fine on Froyo (Firefly3), but as soon as I switched, it wouldn't load the first level at all. I thought this was weird, because it was a game designed FOR gingerbread. Ideas?
Works fine for me...

Well i went with my gut and decided to pay 50 bucks more and get the gtap over rooting a nook color. . Which ive already done to unstable lol. So here my question i know that this tab good bang for the little money i spent but can i root and use roms as you gsm, and cdma user do? Or am i out of luck the main reason is that i picked up the sprint model to play with seeing that it had ginger bread and it had my fav. Games i ran and got this model, i turn it on froyo go to update no freaking update feature. So no modern combat 2 no n.o.v.a no cool games I'D LIKE TO DO FUN THINGS PLEASE LOL
SORRY IF THIS DRAWN OUT N GIBBERISH BUT IM KINDA UPSET I CANT DO WHAT A SPRINT USER CAN AND AS FAR AS I KNOW ITS THE SAME SYSTEM.
THANKS GUYS

I rooted my tab weeks ago and i first installed an alpha honeycomb rom and i liked it except i got force closes like crazy. I now see that the rom is no longer being supported. I like honeycomb but a tablet is not something i really need and i dont wanna buy a $500+ tablet for the honeycomb experiencr when my g tab was given to me. Anyone know if there is a verizon honeycomb rom being developed or if there is one somewhere on the internet? Thanks
Im planning on getting the SPH-P100 which is the Sprint Galaxy tab but Im wondering if the p1000 roms will work on this one like they do for the gsm tab. Im planning on using the tab as wifi only so I don't really care if the 4g won't work as a result but I care about everything else.
Thanks in advance
Curious too. I don't think so but wondering. I'll probably just leave stock gingerbread on it but I would like a tablet OS like Honeycomb or ICS.
LTE EX Galaxy Nexus - 4.0.3 AOSP
Asus Transformer - Revolver OC/UV
I think I saw somewhere (Humberos website, maybe?) that you can swap out a few files from the compressed ROM folder that would allow it to work on a P100.
