[Q] Cannot access recover or rom itself help - HTC Incredible S

Hi,
I flashed a custom bad rom that messed up the recovery. I cannot get into the OS. I tried to go back to recovery but it hangs there as well. What should I do now? Can I recover my phone?
I have ADB installed and S-OFF.
Please help.

Go to the Development section and get the official HTC RUU for your device and run that on your PC with the phone connected to the USB to restore a fully stock image.

Did you try flashing stock trough NVflash or Smartflash?
I made it with this one:
h t t p : / / android.modaco . com / content/lg-optimus-2x-2x-modaco-com/ 335474/ 25-mar-nvflash-stock-rom -release-v10b-dated -1300166062-15-03-2011 /
This will install to stock from cmd in windows. If someone have the same problem as me, they can use this. But remember that it will format your external SD.
Thank you for trying to help me. Started to get a bit sweaty there for awaile.
I tried to restore my backup made by CWM 2.x.x.7
And i tried to restore it with CWM 2.x.x.8
I m a noob at this. So probably i did something wrong.
I have the 10 B version. Have you guys been able to restore your backups
made by CWM?
Sorry for english.
Regards Kali

[ROM][STOCK][jro03e][i9020t] With Touch Clockwork Recovery factory image

This is the stock image (flashable via fastboot) from here, with the recovery-clockwork-touch-5.8.0.2-crespo.img in place of the factory recovery.
Download
I intended it for ease of running stock with cwm, and to have all the useful things for getting back to stock in one place, or to recover from a bad flash...etc.
It is not rooted, straight stock jro03e, no mods (other than swapping recovery).
I'm not going to do a cwm version, get fastboot running!
If you want root, flash root from the attachment in this post.
Good idea! :good:
Thanks Man!!!
This will help my nexus during the continue flashing!!!

And according to this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1750726 you may get the update running this.
I am running stock, rooted, aosp kernel...I guess I may see if I get JB update ota. Unless, of course, someone posts it here before I get it lol.
Hey i have a stock NS tmo running ICS and I want to unlock it, get CWM, so i can try a JB ROM..... But the problem is my micro usb is broken or something I cant connect to a pc or a mac via the file manager nor via cmd/fastboot.
So my question is this is i flash this via fastboot will it replace the stock recovery even though Im not unlocked?

Hmmm....I never tried it while locked, but you will need your usb working even if it is locked. This is all via fastboot over usb.
I would try a different usb cable, beyond that it sounds like it may be a hardware problem, and I don't know how to fix that.
I updated the first post for JRO03E with touch cwm.
tnx!

That is because you have an unlocked bootloader. A stock ROM that you got via running an RUU won't boot up because of the unlocked bootloader. (that or you didn't flash boot.img) I would suggest running Android Revolution HD or tpbklake's stock ROM. Both can be found in the development section for the Incredible S.
Thanks or can i download one from hdev and install will it work ?

If you download the RUU from HTCDEV.com, you will need to relock your bootloader before you run the RUU.

You do realize you are in the wrong forum right?
- Install a custom recovery like TWRP from bootloader using fastboot
- Start recovery and push whatever ROM you want to install to your sdcard using adb push
- Install the ROM

I need help to unbrick my phone.

Ok so, I was trying to update my rom and managed to get my phone stuck in a boot loop with no backup on the phone (I pulled it off thinking I could put it back on in recovery). During the rom install I did a wipe witch turned out to remove the rom file as welll. So I have been trying to move a backup onto the phone but have not had any luck. I have a stock rom and odin but no idea if it's the right one. I have been trying to reinstall the firmware but that is not working either. I'm running out of ideas on what to do. I have no idea what the status of the phone is right now because I'm sure I have messed it up more by trying to fix it. At this point I want to just get the phone back to factory status so I can move files back onto the device.
If you are previously rooted. Just making sure... if you flash the latest twrp.. it'll let to plug into your computer and access your memory.. so you can put something on it to flash. But only do it if you have previously rooted.
