Hi, I am just wondering if I unlock the bootloader will the network lock be unlocked as well?
Looking for ways to unlock the network, not the sim.
On the phone when I access service info > SIM lock, it shows network locked, value 5, sim not locked, value 0.
Thanks!
no.sim lock will stay.
so the only way is to use IMEI unlock code which we need to buy?
So flashing new baseband, kernel, radio, etc also won't unlock the sim network lock?

I think you unlock the phone only installing custom kernel but we don't have now

No. Unlocking the bootloader of your phone and installing any kernel will never sim unlock your phone.

Which credits do you have bought?
Kernel images are special or are the ones found in Xda (like Naa o Alf's kernel)?
I'm very interested in this, and probably many people.
Anyone other tried this?
One thing is for sure, if you use flashtool and then Omnius you have high chances of failure or sim relock.
I've read that after that you can flash kernels for free (no additional credits) with omnius with the unsigned flash function. Could you confirm that?
thanks
i try to unlock my boot loader finish with bootloop lollll
but i flash stock via flashtool and now iv got new rom

You can unlock it. But you might want to backup your TA partition first before you unlock it. If you backup your TA partition before you unlock then your DRM are not lost forever.
Try to flash dooms custom kernel, if it fails then it's lock and if it's successful then unlock

okay so i just recently unlocked my phones sim , from fido
i bought a code online from cellunlocker.net
it shows that i dont have a sim lock, yet in my service menu it still shows "bootloader unlock allowed : no"
isnt it supposed to say bootloader unlock allowed : yes now? or is it supposed to be like this?
Bootloader and sim unlock are different things just by unlocking one of them, doesn't mean the other will be unlocked.
By unlocking sim it just means you can use another carriers sim.
Bootloader is kernel related, unlocking will allow the use of custom kernels which means custom ROMs.

Bootloader is bootloader related. By unlocking the bootloader you can indeed install custom kernels.

Like zolaisugly says, there is no connection between sim lock and bootlocker. A sim lock is a sim lock and the bootlocker is a bootlocker.
I also think if you read this thread this question has already been asked and answered. So, it is normal that your phone still says "Bootlocker unlcok allowed: no". It is impossoble to unlock your bootlocker (for now).

You need to buy a sim-unlock code. Insert the foreing sim card, boot the phone and enter the unlock code. You need to be on the stock rom (or stokish custom rom) to be able to use the sim-unlock code.

There are many only services offering this. doctorsim.com for example. You might also be able to get one from that carrier your phone is locked to.
