This ROM is based off of Verizon GB OTA 4.06.605.03 for Incredible and uses tiny's 10/23 no wifi n kernel. I've started adding some red theming(more to come) and I've also added some tweaks for speed, battery life and RAM optimization. I also suggest using spare parts to set screen and transition animations to fast. I also use it to turn haptic feedback off for the softkeys.
credits:
stoney666 for coming aboard and helping out with the theming!
jermaine for remapped rosie to launch key along with some other things
DevilDog for the black and red dialer
McD for his input and assistance
tazzpatriot for his Blackened theme that I used some things from
wildstang for helping me get settled in and a lot of help along the way
joelz for helping me out getting moving on things with the Inc as well.
tiny for kernel
I know there's others so if I forgot you my apologies.. just let me know
Oh.... and I can't forget the people that *****ed and cried about the original name... you guys kept me near the top of the forum with you *****ing the first few days lol. THANKS!
Dalvik and cache wipe is fine if flashing over a previous version of this ROM... Full wipe recommended from anything else.
As always... what you do with your device is soley your responsibilty. No one here is to blame for anything that may go wrong.

Let me know what you think... I will be adding more red and black to it soon. Still have a lot of theme to add but it's a start lol. Some things haven't been as cooperative as I'd like them to be but they'll come a ling with a little persuasion
Great work man! I've been waiting on a ROM based off the OTA with some awesome theming. Red matches my Incredible quite well.
looks nice. but wont use due to the name.

Works well for me too. I have the red batt. cover on mine.
And IMO Sense 1.0 runs the best on the Incredible. It's always Sense 1 or AOSP for me. I can't stand the lag on the newer Sense based ROM's. There cool, sure, but a bit too slow.
downloading now. Red and black are my fave colors.
Alright, got it up and running. Some suggestions from me would be:
1. Remove the task manager from the quick settings. It only works on the newer Sense.
2. Maybe theme the notification pulldown, transparency, or all black (EG. McSense)
3. I really love the Incredible 2/Thunderbolt 3G Icon.
4. Red overscroll glow would be neat.
5. Maybe some red on the lockscreen?
Mostly all cosmetic, fairly minor, easy changes.
Oh, and maybe some more de-bloating. EG, extra ringtones/sounds, 3G mobile hotspot can be replaced with wireless tether, Adobe reader, Facebook, Quick office. Or at maybe move them and make then (easily) removable.

Good point on the task manager... I meant to take it back out and forgot . I'm planning a slightly transparent black pulldown with some red highlights and maybe test... have to play with ot to get it easy to read. Red overscroll would be pretty sweet too... I'll work on that for 1.1 and I'm also working on something for the lockscreen. So far I've just shadowed the text in red but it's not real noticeable. I was thinking about a red slide down iron cross from my Blackened theme but might make that as a option and have a completely different lockscreen..

This is a wip theme that is based off of fantastic "Red Soul Evolution" from plasticdarlow at xda: original thread: [THEME]|Red Soul|Evolution|[12-03-10] - xda-developers
1-10-11 added a flashable service.jar to put the clock back in (by request). this is different than the other restore clock thats out there in that its made for this theme and keeps the red accents in date/ongoing/latest/carrier notifications
****DJ05 Only****
*Usual Disclaimer* I am not responsible for anything that happens to your phone. Best practice is to make a nandroid before flashing anything.
The status bar/icons and several other images come directly from Red Soul Evolution, but much of it was put together/made separate of the original theme.
1/7-ok well i decided to update it a little more cuz i was kinda bored ...added black menus, black browser to match theme, added more red in a bunch of places....changed pulldown menu
12/21 added modded services.jar cwr flash to remove clock froms status bar...courtesy Crushd (xda)
Major Credit to: pasticdarlow at xda for putting together the original theme and doing a fantastic job
DtatchD and Retrokid223 because i always need their help
adiliyo and ryanbeu as i forked the dialer that was originally made by adiliyo for darkstar and then edited by ryanbeu for defcon1 (i only edited a few images here and there on my own for it)
Darkstar OP: [Theme] Darkstar Port - DJ05 only - xda-developers
Defcon1 OP: [THEME] defcon1 - DJ05 - port/hackjob version 4 - xda-developers
DiGi for finding the theme in the captivate forums to begin with
CrushD for figuring out the xml edits to remove clock in status bar
*i apologize if i forgot anyone or if I used anything of yours without realizing it* if i did just let me know and Ill be happy to give you credit
This theme is for deodexed systems. and has reboot options as well
I'm using and have tested on JT's Super Clean Rom Series for DJ05. If you are not running his rom or one that uses stock lock screen, puzzle unlock may show still show up for you.

Well if i don't get much feedback or bug reports its hard for me to keep going with this theme.
I think it's awesome. The only thing I had a problem with is the reboot options. When I held power down it locked up my phone.

There really isn't and problems and for me it's damn near perfect. The only thing I would like to see is the menu themed.

it may have something to do with missing files in defcon....the other two people who reported this to me both came from that theme
this theme looks great.. downloading and installing now, i'll let you know if i have any problems!
I'd love to try this theme but would like to know if more people have that power option problem with locking up their phones.. Seems like I've had that one two different themes, I really want this theme so I hope I'm not plagued by this!
no power option problems, this whole theme works perfect for me!
however, i really really hate that alarm icon! for the first few minutes i wasn't even sure what it was... it doesn't really make any sense at all. looks like a sideways verizon check.
do you plan on changing it by any chance? maybe to something that actually looks like a clock lol.. i think the mattedblues/nextang clock would look perfect here, just with red instead of blue/orange on the top
So I have had prolly 6 different themes on my phone in the past 2 weeks.. and this rocks them all! GREAT JOB OP!!
BTW I have no power option problems at all
Edit: tried posting pics but the xda app still won't let me, grr!

Alrighty ill swap out this alarm icon for a red revoultion one.
As for power option problems it definetly is the defcon issue....seems that those who like red themes had that previously and that didn't have a twframework built into the theme....so jumping from there to here was the issue...,so anyone who was on defcon should flash a return to stock theme (i have one at androidforums that ill stick in the op tomorrow) then flash this....
If you are on any other dj05 themes or a stock deodexex rom yih will be finep

Yup the problem was definitely with my defcon theme... I had previously used the JAMT theme as my base source for my defcon theme which didn't have those boot options and when I flashed this galaxy red theme I ran into a problem upon boot where the screen staying black...
So at that point I reflashed my defcon theme and then started seeing the issue people were reporting with the shutdown menu not launching and hanging the system which I previously wasn't seeing.
Thankfully before I left for NY I whipped up a new version of defcon using this galaxy red theme as a base instead of JAMT. So tonight I completely wiped all my user data/cache and flashed JT's new super clean .9 and my new version of defcon and everything works perfectly now.
I'll post the new version of defcon1 when I get back home from the holidays.
nitsuj the alarm clock had me scratching my head for a second too..But once I figured it out I thought it was kind of cool.

yes thank you!! with the new clock, this will be the BEST theme available! i really love it, thanks again
everything has been perfect so far just want to see more themed red n black
I love this theme....great job.....no problems at all for me...would love to see it in different colors like bright blue or green, easier on my old eyes lol.....other than that its perfect
Nitsuj, great job on this! This is def my favorite theme now. Only problem I ran into was what I told you about in irc, which again had to do with coming from defcon. I would've flashed something else before because I knew the power menu wasn't working, but I was waiting on this to be released before flashing any new theme because of what you showed us irc. Anyway, the problem was fixed after I reflashed rom that I was on and then flashed theme again. Thanks again for this!

Hey Nit, not sure if this is really due to the theme but I've been having a strange problem since wiping data, installing JT's clean .9 and then this theme on my phone.
Sometimes when scrolling down, like in the market for instance, it will act like I hit the back button on my phone?
The only other change I have done is flashed the OTB 1.1 UV 1200 kernel from Nemesis
Theme port based off Jumba's NeonGT Version 1.8 + original artwork.
Many thanks and credits to the original creator for a very sharp theme.
For those of you who do not like the fonts, they are not included. That was just what I had on my phone at the current time.
Your fonts will remain in place and no fonts are included in this theme.

AOSP Lock
Puzzle Lock
With this version you will notice that just about everything has been redone. I have expanded the style scheme with some animations, shadowing effects and reconfigured the font scheme as well. Plus many, many more!
You should notice some overall speed increases, a new UI appeal and potentially less battery usage.
Once again, I strongly recommend wiping your dalvik-cache to get the most from this release.
Maintenance Realease 1 (Previous version & DL09 ONLY)
^^ Download link ^^
The main framework has been completely rebuilt for speed. The UI is now in control and it now incorporates a much better style scheme. You will notice the dark transparent backgrounds have returned and we are now running on a custom font color and shadowing effects. plus many more...
This is a universal patch (DL09 ONLY). So whether you are running the aosp lock or the puzzle lock version, this is for you!
I strongly recommend that you wipe your dalvik-cache as well as your cache!

The lock screen zip from adrynalyne in this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=10580111&postcount=57 will give you a nice green/gray themed AOSP lock screen to replace the puzzle lock.

You could ask him if you could just include it but its not necessary. If you just flash adryns zip after the theme it will replace it and the theme will take hold for the new lock screen too.

I haven't got around to asking yet but I did take a look at it. It appears the android.policy is the only thing changed. So yes you can flash this over.
I am partial to my puzzle lock but I do have this done and merged into the full theme. After I get his ok I can upload a new zip. This way people can pick the puzzle lock version or aosp lock version.

As you can see, this is my first post here. The work you all do is unbelievable, so thanks for it all! With that said, I have an issue. Hatespawn, you're saying I can flash Adryn's zip after this theme, and it should replace the puzzle lock? If so, it doesn't seem to be working for me. Running DL09 modem, 1230 nonvoodoo kernel. The puzzle lock screen persists. I've tried flashing it via CWM both with and without wiping data/cache. What am I doing wrong?
Wow, this looks great! The only thing I don't like is the font, how hard would it be to change it to something sans serif? At some point I want to learn how to do this myself but i haven't found a good tutorial or instructions yet, although i imagine it's not too hard.
Note to Users
Because of my growing frustration with Samsung, I have decided to focus my efforts on theming aosp and will not be updating TOB from this point on. I am grateful for all the interest and support you guys have shown for this theme, but all good things must eventually come to an end. I'm not sure how much longer I will have a Fascinate, but I am sure that I will be running aosp/cm builds for the rest of the time that I do. If anyone would like to take this project over feel free to do so.

(3/1) - Grabbed Adrynalyne's Settings.apk for compatibly with SuperClean 2.x. I tested and confirmed it working with deodexed eb01 and SuperClean 2.6 (and 2.7 before it was pulled).
(3/1) - Resolved phone force close issues. AOSP answer is now the default, and it is themed with a blue in-call gradient.
(3/1) - Menu unlock is now removed from AOSP lockscreen (thanks to sbrissen).
(2/27) - Added all of sbrissen's latest mods ..... clock options in settings, carrierless lockscreens, aosp answer, etc. Yes, he is a beast.
(2/27) - Themed Launcher2.apk for those that prefer to use it (like myself).
(2/27) - Themed Phone.apk to remove green in-call gradient fill (per suggestion). It is now blue and looks great.
(2/27) - Removed several irrelevant download links from OP (i.e. tw gtglauncher). For those that like touchwiz stuff, I highly recommend that you check out CrushD's recent mods found here (particularly the launcher).
(2/21) - Added my own version of the reworked dialer. The voicemail button now defaults to carrier voicemail (i.e. *89). Also added three optional dialers that default to (1) google voice (2) youmail and (3) visual voicemail in the extras section below. To install one of the optional dialers, extract the zip and flash the appropriate version via CWR.
(2/21) - Themed google search, facebook, market (thanks 00.ante), and youtube apks added. They are all based on the most recent updates. See pictures above to see how they look.
(2/15) - Included my reworked quickpanel. Text below quick panel buttons now read "Data" and "Rotation." This does away with the unsightly double lines without removing the text completely like other themes do.
Credits
- Nitsuj17 for his help and hard work. .
- Sbrissen for accurate battery, reboot options, clock options, and 5 lockscreens mods. He is officially the guru.
- DtachD for being able to answer just about every question I've asked about theming. He is a themer's themer.
- Adrynalyne for his reworked dialer which I used as a point of reference to make my smali edits for the voicemail button.
- Dhoard for his fully debinged browser & google search longpress fix.
- Bernard_Photography for the bootanimation pngs. I simply manipulated them to do what I want.
- Signals23 for the themed LP+. His other versions of LP+ can be found here.

No, but I will make a patch for it tomorrow. I had already planned to do this (just waiting for a request).

Hey ben,
Sent you a private msg about the battery. Don't know if there is a way to make it work but I would like it to count down using 1's instead of like 10's (ie. 50,49,48,47). Not like it is now counting down by 10's or whatever.
Thanks

Because I used the Samsung battery as a base, this is the only option I have. They used a total of 13 pngs, I think, which count down by 10's (with a random 35, 65, and a 0). The only way to change it would be to create the additional battery screenshots, which is indeed no small task (and is probably why nobody has themed the Samsung battery). I plan to edit the circle battery d with the blue for those who would like a more accurate battery. I personally don't mind the countdown by 10's

That's actually easy. Well part of it. The dialer tab activity.apk which has the dialer and tabs on top I can clear for you. The phone.apk which holds the in call dialer not so much. I've failed trying before. my older froyo crystalline theme has the regular dialer clear like your talking about but I have to warn you I leave a small portion at the top the dialer just under the tabs black cause when you dial a number or dial from a website you cannot read the number in white against almost any background. You do the work download that theme, copy the dialer tab activity apk out of it, transfer the drawables to the epic dialer tab activity and I'll write the code to clear the bg for you

The 512 area for Austin Texas. I am in the 210 (San Antonio) the arm pit the US of A. Came here for training back 1970' and said I would never be back. Well what can I say, horses, german shepherd's and women keep me here. EDIT: have a suggestion its tiny but just saying, when you download something in the notifications menu the downloading bar is a bit big and overlaps the text above it.
and a few glitches where you go into settings and the phone just goes back to desktop. Plus noticed when you put on usb and the menu pops up for mass storage or charging or something else. its just quits out and doesnt say those thing it says samsung kiez, media player, mass storage.
Running SRF 1.1.0 with Genocide kernel 1.0
Hmmm.. I dunno whts up with that I don't have either of those problems.. your saying settings.apk doesn't work at all? And usb storage is bunk for you as well? I tested both on mine this morning without a hitch.

Beautiful theme man. Much appreciated. Out of curiosity why is the version of dolphin in this theme such an old one. Its 4.2 and I believe its up to 4.5 now. Even a 4.6 beta is out. Just wondering if maybe there's something better about 4.2. If I reinstall 4.5 wilk I lose the theme?

One of "our" favorite quotes that we apply to all forms of gfx design!
(Just click on this for tapatalk users)
Youtube Preview
DOWNLOAD V1.5
This Is based off an original @ssojyeti2 mock-up and then we both did a ton more work from then on.
This is sort of a mixture of our original tron theme mostly just the Statusbar icons and app drawer
Icons the rest is original to this theme. So make sure you leave Ssojyeti a +1 or a thanks b/c its
his gfx that put this together. This theme includes many mods that you wont see anywhere else on any other rom.
We would like to give a Big THANKYOU to @fisha21 b/c without him alot of this theme's inversion
would absolutely not be possible.
This is another animated theme brought to you by team anonymous. This is our second rendition
of an animated tron theme. We actually made alot of the gfx for this before we did the theme and
yeti has done the rest to fit with his motif. This theme is inverted and it does not break font size.
Font sizes will remain in tact so for those of you who like big font enjoy. Also that could not have
been done without borrowing fisha21's resources.arsc and hexing out what he already had done.
I will admit I have removed some animation things due to glitches and v 1.0 will not be opted...
I will opt in v 1.1 most likely. B/c its not completely finished yet. So im not gonna opt it when its not finished...
I will be adding more and making settings.apk independent again so that all icons remain within the app itself...
I will also be trying more animations and who knows if they'll work or not; I tried prism that
didnt work, tried a few others, but some work some don't...
I WILL BE UPDATING THIS ON THE DAILY THERE ARE A FEW HERE'S AND THERE'S THAT NEED TAKEN CARE OF ENJOY FOR NOW!
Technically you don't have to wipe anything its written into the updater script but I always recommend wiping caches no matter what
Wipe cache and dalvik cache.

Flashed on Renovate 9.0. All is good, really nice theme. A request tho - can you make options for the app drawer and navbar to be semi-transparent, and the status bar transparent? Theme would be the bees knees with those.

Np most mods people request are easy I basically rewrite all the xml that would otherwise usually make a mod somewhat complicated! My Ui is completely original in how the xml is written I change as much as I can. Most of the layouts aren't even the same the header is completely original not one line of code written by google or htc still exists in the header. I have been somewhat developing this ui for quite sometime...Only recently did I crack the header and how I could use relative layouts to position everything, the secret is to remove the date. And some of you may notice in land the ui isnt exactly perfect but I will get to that eventually the only thing that isnt perfect in land is the notification rows. Most likely b/c the padding in land doesnt exist in smali. This theme in itself is basically a portrait mode theme but it works in land as well.. Just that one thing!

I will talk to fisha tonight and see if we can figure out why... He is responsible for most if not all mods in renovate so yeah hopefully we'll be able to figure it out...
One thing you could try is replacing prism... Please post prism.apk from renovate 9.0 for me and I'll make you a .zip see if it fixes it. Since blinkfeed is controlled by prism I imagine this will work.
If that ends up fixing it I will make a renovate version of the .zip for you guys.
Just want to make this clear renovate and omj are the only roms I will actually fix f/c for.
They put the most in so I will fix whatever may come up with those roms.
Not sure if myhub is exactly the same on renovate but it may be but you will see a badboyz logo in there for sure if your on renovate and you goto the myhub app.
One thing ya have to unerstand fisha is a mod maker as well so alot of what he does is against the grain and some of his apk's may be customized thus you will have problems when trying to use an app such as prism.. See he does common-ctrl mods and framework.jar mods and even services.jar mods that may effect my apks since I dont exactly do every mod he does only most of em! And alot of times we even tag team mods trying to figure them out... So alot of what i do does match fisha21's work not exactly sure about prism, like I said i'll talk to him in a bit!
Like to give @fisha21 a shoutout to b/c without him most of what you see wouldn't be possible. We definitely are the best tag team as far as modding stuff goes. And of course yeti without his awesome gfx this wouldnt be possible either this is his tron vision and the big difference this time around is most of the gfx were done in ps vs ae... Def got a better result but yeah none the less I am proud of both themes. They are both epic in their own ways.
