I replaced my digitizer bc of a crack in the glass. Now my power button doesn't work. Is there a way to map the camera button to be wake/sleep instead. Also the top 1/4 inch of the digitizer doesn't work??
I'm pretty sure yukixda had a method to do this on a custom rom.

I just replaced my cracked screen on my phone. Bought it from Ebay. When I put it back together I notice that in the middle of the screen it is unresponsive. When I try and type on it I cant get the middle of the keyboard to work. When I put the phone back to stock thinking it would calibrate the screen, it is the same result, when I try and choose a language it doesn't let me choose the English language. I thought maybe I forgot to plug a certain cable in but it is still doing this after I took apart and put back together the phone three times. The main areas that aren't working is the bottom part of the screen where the keyboard pops up and the top of the screen about a half inch down in the middle. My question is did I get a faulty screen replacement? Or is there a way of calibrating the screen itself?
Bad digitizer did you get a replacement for that too?

Yes, it came with the screen.
I'm guessing a digitizer issue only idea I have

Questions solved. You are probably right. The seller got back to me and he said he sent me the wrong part. He was supposed to send me the glass with the digitizer, brand new, and he sent me a used screen with digitizer and the frame around it. He said he will send the new screen ASAP. Thanks for your responses. Hopefully I wont have trouble with the new part.
No problem

hi only had me note about a week got it off internet, just noticed the s-pen doesn't work properly it works at the bottom ov the screen if i push on the button very hard i was told to recalibrate it by removing the button cover and using a small screw driver to adjust the sensitivity of the pen but mine has no screw /, i went to my local phone shop to try my pen on another note and it works
has anybody got any ideas
Don't understand what exactly you facing? Works on the lower screen but not above?
Do you have any cover with magnetic clips on it? Also try *#0*# and check the spen test.

A month ago I broke the outer and inner screen I ordered on eBay
I installed it and since I have a line on a screen in the upper part of the touch screen that it does not work
There is a picture but the touch is not working
I installed a few times then the problem is not with the installation
There is a possibility that I need to install the Rom again or that can not be it software problem?

in my opinion thereĀ“s something wrong with the conector besides the lcd screen.
Never ever had a problem with a rom that involving the touch function
So according to you the problem is in the internal screen in the LCD?

well bud I'm no mechanic but i think so. it's because no Rom changes the touch driver. and when it's completely not working not partial. besides i read about this problem after changing the screen often in eBay

You think it's the LCD or external screen?
I can say that it's the sealing rubber's fault out of bad experience, because I replaced my screen myself recently.
After first ordering a replacement screen and installing it properly my whole upper half of the touch did not work. A second time a smaller fragment did not work.
After googling it, I found out that the sealing rubber around is very important, however even though getting a rep. screen is no problem at all, getting the rubber was impossible on ebay or on any local shop. (Why is no one offering these?)
So I ended up buying the thinnest double sided tape I could get and everything works fine now. It's extremely fumbly though and takes some steady hands Use a knife and not scissors to cut the tape.

Wow thank you very much
My screen really dont stuck so well I did not think that's the problem
You talk about the external screen right? Not about the LCD?
I want to know if the screen of HTC One is curved or is it a problem with construction. When I press it it goes in and then come out slightly. Is there any one else who have the same problem? If you see it from the corner you can see the screen is in from the top corner and the bottom but in the center it curves out. I can even see some gaps at the top and even the power button has to be pressed hard to unlock it. Do you think the phone should be replaced ?
Nobody has got a reply
I think you should replace it

Hey there.
I bought a broken HTC ONE S from someone on ebay.
The bottom lights light up but the screen remains black. It seems like it boots up properly as I pressed the home button and one of the volume buttons and heard a picture sound.
I saw online that it's recommended being booted into recovery mode using volume and power button but nothing.
Just though I'd ask before I buy a new screen assembly.
There is a crack that goes across the screen. I thought it might be broken but my experiences with broken LCD's are that when they break they sitll light up white...?
Only thing I can think of is water damage maybe shorted out the LCD. I'm unfamiliar with the One S so Idk where the water sensor strip would be..

So would it be worth grabbing a new screen assembly? or is the actual motherboard damaged. Thanks

Thats the chance you take ...did the ebay seller tell you the screen was broken ? if not, return it to them and cut your losses now
