My samsung galaxy s5 active when I boot it up goes directly to a samsung id page. I don't know the id as it was bought of craiglist? I tried a wipe data/factory reset in system recovery mode but that does not do it. Any help how to bypass this maybe?

U probably could flash it back to stock out of the box with odin. If that doesn't work I do believe the lost/stolen features are activated. Meaning the owner needs to login to the account in order to get a Tru factory reset. Even then u might be blacklisted

It is actually some1 on ebay selling this phone and describing the phones problem. He sais the phone is not blacklisted when he checked the IMEI. How do you check if lost/stolen is activated?

Before we go any further do you plan on buying it. if so, tell him to give you the IMEI to check yourself on swappa.

Hi guys im new here.
I just wanted ask something, i bought a galaxy note 3 here in the Philippines with model number n900a, I understand it is from at&T, it is now factory unlocked, when i tried to wifi tether it always says "invalid sim, mobile data not available." Im using a globe network here and confirmed that LTE is working, searched for some fix here but it only leads me to at&t note 3 using a t-mobile sim.
I already rooted my phone which is still running under 4.3 via kingoroot, here are my phone details.Baseband version N900AUCUBNB4,build numbver JSS15J. I would appreciate any help and any guides what to do to be able to use this phone for wifi tethering. sorry for being noob here. Thanks.
Try using the forum search for "Wi-Fi tether". Google even works! It's faster to find your answer this way instead of posting a redundant question and waiting for an answer. The forum gets cluttered and messy the way you did it.
You'll probably find that freezing the system app "TetheringProvision" works.
Since your new please read the forum rules again.

Thanks for the link. Towel rooted and wifi tethered in 30 minutes. AT&T Note 3 on T Mobile network.
hellow my friends, i have a galaxy note 4 t mobile I've had it for almost 2 months and just recently starting getting not registered on network even dough my sim card is inside the phone. i have looked all over the internet for a solution but most of them are for other phones and not specifically for the note 4 , plz help thx in advance
Check the imei number.
Sounds like it's blacklisted
Try sticking Sim in another tmobile device if possible. You may need to dial #611 and they can tell if they are seeing ya. It may be a bad Sim card
Pm me I can help you

The best way is to go with T-Mobile and ask them to unlock it for you.
First, before even contacting them, check your phone's IMEI on T-Mobile network here https://www.t-mobile.com/verifyIMEI.aspx
If your IMEI is clean then you can ask them to unlock it for you.
I can unlock it check my post in signature

Then wait the 6 months and request unlock. Next time I recommend buying direct from Samsung as it'll be unlocked and surely they "have them" in your area lol.

theres such thing as international sim unlock that is not the same as a domestic sim unlock and has lesser requirements.. if they legitimately want to use internationally then call the carrier and have them submit an international sim unlock request.. just dont expect it to be domestically unlocked lol
Hey Guys,
For those that are wondering it look 3 business days, but out of the 4 companies I tried, cellunlocker.net got me the proper codes.
Hope this helps!
Thanks,
Ken

Unlockriver got me the code took 10days but Samsung updated their servers
For those saying just to get the SIM unlock from ATT...well ATT is giving out an 8 digit unlock code. The Note 9 requires a 16-digit code. I got the code from ATT. Typed it in twice, very carefully, and it didn't work. Did some research, and now I had to pay for cellunlocker to get me a 16-digit code. So the waiting game begins...again.
It worked!! Less than 12 hours later and I had a 16 digit code. I'm now running my T-Mobile SIM without issues!

This may be because note 9 is quite new model for unlocking and also because of codes are changed for note 9, as previous Samsung phone models require 8 digit unlock code but the new note 9 require 16 digit code to unlock. you can try codes2unlock.com as they provide the 16 digit code for note 9.

That and because Samsung is run by a bunch of f*cking idiots and don't know how properly distribute OTAs and unlock codes to their carrier branded devices. They quite frankly have the absolute worst CS of any manufacturer I've ever encountered. I'll likely be switching to Apple for the first time ever due the sheer amount of bull**** I've had to endure dealing with these simpletons. Just isn't worth it.
Hi guys, anybody had luck sim unlocking SM-N960F/DS already tried 2 unlocking sites with no luck. Maybe I there is a way to root and sim unlock at the same time. My carrier is Globe philippines. Need to use the phone abroad. Thanks.
