Power off then power up to cwm recovery and flash your stuffs.

My problem was, when i was in RomManager, i asked it to flash latest recovery, then 2 choices popped up, Xoom, and Xoom WiFi, well mine is a wifi version.. So i chose it... After going into recovery, i couldnt mount the SD card any more... Hmmm... Updates are good arent they? (that was to ver 5.x.x.x)
So i went back into Rom Manager and did it again, this time i chose just XOOM for the model, it went back to version 4.x.x.x.. Then i could mount the SD Card again...
Hope this helps..

hey guys i just updated to CM 4.0.3.1 and it automatically installed move cache to sd, i also accidently installed teds hero theme, not knowing it wasnt ready for 4.0.3 yet, but now my phone cant read my sd card, therefore i cant mount/unmount it , could this be from the "move cache to sd" app? any help is appreciated, thanks guys!
Did you have your card partitioned with ext2/ext3/ext4? If you didn't then apps2sd won't work. And you can always mount your sd card thru adb.

Just partition your sd card with your fat32, ext2/ext3/ext4 (I would do ext3), and linux-swap then reflash the rom.
i dont know how, and my sd card doesnt even show up on my phone at all
btw im using my 1gb card that came with my phone

Do you have a card reader?
nope im suggesting my card is toasted or i have to do a wipe?
try booting into recovery, drop into the recovery console and type
ums_enable while your phone is plugged up to your computer. if that works, when you are done type ums_disable. that should allow you to mount your card in recovery
either way, i still dont know how to partition my car....i just want to be able to get it to be read so i can reflash my rom and go back to normal
which recovery image do you have?

do you have adb? if so just type adb shell reboot recovery
if not, then while stuck at the android screen press send, menu and call to reboot then hold home to boot into recovery.
once in recovery, does it have a picture of a green android, or what is the background of?

1. Power off phone
2. Power on and hold volume down key to boot straight to recovery
3. Try flash again
Might be wrong here but I thought that to flash a rom you put it on the exteranl sd card and reboot in to recovery and then choose install zip from sdcard and then choose your file. there are a few files which you rename to "update.zip" and follow the process you have done but I sure a rom flash isn't that way.

OP cannot mount sd-card in recovery. What I mentioned was a workaround to enable mounting of sd-card. Once OP is able to mount sd-card then he is able to flash rom.

Yeah that's right you should put the whatever.zip somewhere on an external SD card. CWM cannot mount internal SD yet...
(just summarizing hat you guys above me said because OP might get confused )
Yeah u can only put a rom on by using an external sd card not the internal

Hi guys. I have a very large problem here.. About few days ago, I was transfering files from my pc to my phone via usb, suddenly the sd card got crashed(maybe) because i was not able to find it on my phone. but everything was fine in pc. then I formatted the sd card in fat32 and tried to hard reset the phone via cwm.. I went to 'wipe/factory data' . after formatting the system, it said unable to mount sd card\android secure- skipping formatting. Now the phone is not starting and i cant flash new rom via cwm because it says unable to mount sd card.. I am extreamly tensed. help me guys.

Not sure how much it may help but did you try putting your sdcard in some other HTC phone? If the phone recognizes it then can you format it through the phone and try again?
Also I am assuming that you were able to flash a different ROM earlier using the same recovery, i.e, you are using the correct version of the recovery; also that your card was not encrypted
no luck

copy this .zip to c:/android
4.rename it to PG32IMG
5.nw put this PG32IMG.zip on phone
6.get int bootloader
7.it should automatically detect and flash it

Hello,
After some problems with mounting sd card on some ROMs I finally returned to stock firmware for i9070. One problem is - I do not see nothing in "apply zip..." either from sdcard or memory. I don't see nothing in catalogue tree. What should I do? I would try another time with one ROM but I cannot flash it via stock recovery. I tried to flash CWM (with kernel) but it has bricked my phone ;/
Or if somebody will provide me a link to good "other recovery" for i9070 I will be pleased and shake your hand

You need to install kernel with custom recovery. You did not tell what os yoh use, JB or GB.
P.S. You can't install ROM with stock recovery.

You probably had CWM, not stock recovery.
Root phone.
Install CoCore-E, Harsh build. (Unzip it, use kernel.bin.md5 with Universal Kernel flasher, and you will need some root explorer like ES file explorer to use file with Universal kernel flasher.
Voila.
Thank you so much - I'll try tomorrow
Uh. Uh. But wait. I don't see root.zip in that stock recovery. I can see nothing. That's the deal...

You must put it in external SD card.
And if you put it there, and still do not see anything - you need to repartition your sd card. Tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/SD_card_partitioning
Remember - repartition - not format. Backup your data from it, because you will loose everything from it.

Use USB mass storage. And you will see SD as you see it with card reader.
If you are talking about cwm, then sometimes you need to unmount either sdcard or emmc
But I wouldn't count on this information

Mount the card on pc using an adapter or working phone with mass storage option, then format with standard procedure (on Windows right click on removable disk and format), if doesn't work try to flash again stock JB, you can try another version if your device isn't simlocked to the carrier.

recovery.fstab is a part of the recovery image into kernel, you can't copy-paste it, you can only touch vold.fstab with root access. But this is not your problem because you have flashed stock ROM! As I said earlier: try to flash again a different version of stock JB or try downgrading to see if the problem is resolved.

Try with re-partition of your SD card. Maybe it is in ntfs format, as far I remember we do not have NTFS support out of the box (only with CoCore kernel).

First - what do you want to do? vold.fstab will swap your internal and external memory. And sure it will not help you see your SD card on PC or recovery.
I had problem with non visible SD card in recovery on GB - and solution was to partition it again.
Is not only to swap, but also to set mount points. Yes, I forget about repartition, said to format current partition in fat32 but he said that with an adapter or another device works
