[REQ] Webtop image file - Motorola Droid Bionic

[Request] if anyone could please extract the webtop/*Ubuntu img and possibly any and all dep's.
There's talk over at the D3 forum to port a webtop to it, seems no one has asked yet, so here I am requesting it today.
ALSO is this even a possibility? Can the webtop system be fully copied.
Your help is appreciated.
Sent from my ERIS using xda premium

It maybe possible but you would have mount the partition off the memory card due to the inability to partition off the internal NAND for /OSH which is where the Webtop files are stored. Join in on the irc channel in my signature later on today and I will see if I can get Sogarth from Atrix forums to join since he came up with the Webtop2sd app.
Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk

Hey thanks for the reply, I can't jump in irc atm, but did quote you in the D3 forum to let them know.
Thanks again for the help.

Dm Updater

I was wondering if anybody had a link to a copy of dm updater? I have tried several but they need an update and it redirects me to the market and then says that it is not available. Thanks for all the help in advance.
(edit...sorry guys I placed this in the wrong forum)
Sent from my Droid using XDA App
DMupdater hasn't been released yet, and the droidmod team has pretty much made sure all of the links were taken down, but there are many other ways to root your phone.

Gimme your gmail address n ill email the dmupdater.apk to you. Its an old one I have on my computer. It will ask you to update it when you install it then works great. Just used it on a buddy's phone a few days ago. Or just Google it and it might come up.

Sent from my Zio using XDA App
No. We are mainly working on the cricKet ZIO. We don't have any sprint developers as far as I know.

If i can get my hands on a good clean rom and a clockwork fastboot img that actually works i will make a rom for you guys. Help me help you
Smooth, if our recovery does not work. Google "My brain hurts" for porting clockworkmod recovery to new devices.

Check the development section of the ZIO forums, I have uploaded the cricKet 2.2.1 boot, recovery, and system images in one convienent zip file.
I'm also here Sprint Zio owner not afraid to brick if need be I'm not really experienced but I have been lurking here and many other forums soaking up as much info as I can but there isn't a whole lot of support for Sprint Zio's I really want to change that. You guys can get me either on aim @ xbhattx or pm me or email me @ [email protected]. I'm currently working on the boot image for Sprint but ran into trouble with clockworkmod recovery, when I tried to open the cmd prompt in dev tools it would not open perhaps a simple mistake but can't seem to figure out what I am missing. But any help I can be just let me know I am always available!

Hello, Im Ryan, Hey do u think u could help me? I have a Sanyo Zio, and I tried to update from Android Ver. 2.2 to Ver. 2.3, and when I got to the point to backup rom and restart in recovery, the phone wouldn't get past the "Sanyo" screen, flashing off and on, til I held down the volume up/end call buttons, and now it's back on, but stuck in roaming??? plz help!!! I am not tech Savvy!!!
There is no 2.3 update for the ZIO as of yet, and I've seen you spam this over the forum. If you expect to get help, post ONE very informative post in the general section, and wait patiently for a response. Spamming will only get you yelled at or ignored altogether.

I think we should have a Q&A section on the forum.

Don't see why you can post external links to development sites where deving is placed there used to be links to rootzwiki on my charge all the time so i don't see why not

I think the reason this thread hasn't blown up is because everyone is still trying to keep root on .902
Nevertheless, I am still in that group. Post up some screenshots!

Every one says 3g/4g is not working correctly, only 1x or 3g if your not in a 4g area.
Edit: I see there seems to be a work around, by turning on the LTE ram dump.
Is it a port of this?

You need to go to 902 from 893 not 901. I think you can flash stock 893 in rsd, use voodoo from the market to save root, then take the OTA update and restore root with voodoo, but I'm not 100% sure voodoo works on the bionic (it does on my transformer prime)

Xda has lost its luster. When I started rooting phones, everyone was linking to xda because this was the main source. Now I'm seeing that rootzwiki is the main source. Not sure why that is, maybe someone else can give an explanation

I think its because theres a lot of new users who don't read before they ask questions or start threads. I have seen rom threads where a question that was answered 10 times in the last 5 pages continues to be asked. The search function is horrible on here but if you can't read the last few pages of a thread, or 2-3 pages of thread titles before asking a question or starting a thread then you are just cluttering up the forum. I have seen a few devs leave simply because of all the people that wouldn't read a few pages, or even the OP before asking stupid questions which have already been answered. Also the moderation in some sub forums is horrible, that's another big reason I've seen a lot of devs leave.
Thank you for the explanation. Makes sense.

Who has root?
And what does this app do?
Sent from my phone.
Minor fixes implemented for Atrix HD, added atrix 2 edison to supported devices.!
Perhaps someone can clarify for me. How is it that this is getting fixes if we cannot even use this app as we are not rooted on the Matrix HD?

The fix was for the format of the partition. On the previous release I had the partition down as ext3 when this device is ext4. Root should be here soon. So please treat this release as a WIP for this device.

I have some ideas on how to root the device. Unfortunately no one of the current devs helping y'all are handing me any help. I can only help those that help themselves. At this point you don't have root because the people with the right info want to keep to themselves.
Edit: I say this because I don't have a device to try this myself, and I won't expose user devices to "test".

I really apretiate your intervention. I find it so distasteful when users begin flaming devs.
This is literally the thread that began the effort for my project cheesecake app. Started with a simple question. Can we unlock the bootloader of the ATRIX hd using ATRIX 4g.

Yea I tried it. I connected to the qa2 server. and did a factory reset. still august 10 build. I don't think I know exactly how to use this. I see one server says test cloud. is this the one I should try out?
I have no idea man

ok so I am using these servers to check for OTA updates? The goal is to find an unlocked bootloader in the update?
---------- Post added at 10:27 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:21 AM ----------
If this is the case then I have checked the qa2, qa4, q200, and q300 or whatever servers and found no update
You probably won't hear about updates for a while on this device. But checking once every 2 to 3 weeks won't hurt.
