The Nexus S managed to break the 6000+ barrier today. Its running the Trinity 1.544ghz kernel with the latest CM7 kang and it has the /system/lib/egl/libGLES_android.so removed. This single core beast is still butting heads with the latest big boys. The queastion is, when im ready to get a new device, which phone do i choose to downgrade to

look at the I/O scores, that happens when an error occurs during the benchmark, itll give a very high score due to that

not true. for the nexus s they are high because iy has a native ext4 file system. all nexus s get high i/o scores.

What Kernel u suggest is the best, I'm looking for stability+speed+battery+stability, so far every single one I have tried makes the phone crash with BT and browser mainly, also if by chance do u have any recommendation on how to improve the camera recording so it will not glitch as much.... thanks in any case for ur input.

what exactly happens by removing /system/lib/egl/libGLES_android.so?
OpenGL performance shoots to the sky. from 17 FPS~ to 65 FPS~[Capped] in 3D planet test.
Max. I've done is 5100+ on T1.44 w/o libGLES_android.so hack. But 6100 is so monstrous !

personally, i use the TEUV 880mhz trinity kernel as a daily. its underclocked and undervolted, but has a high bus and overclocked gpu. its fast(like a normal 1.2ghz kernel) and great on battery life. you can find it in the op of the trinity thread in developement.

Does this means that newer version v10e generate more heat?

Too much UV can decrease performance. But its hard to know what is your or mine or someone else UV limit for performance impact. If you take away volts from CPU, it cant run in its full potential because it doesnt have enough energy to do so. You can notice that in some CPU intense processing stuff, like when taking a couple of pictures in a row with too heavy UV. You can get some blank (black) photos, because CPU didnt have enough energy to process every picture you took.

You can flash at any time. If you flash a rom flash this after. And remember only for stock based roms.

Anybody tested out the kernel yet? Any good/bad reviews? Im itching to try it out so bad, but I tried the other kernel in the G2 development thread by Wooster (i think) and it jacked my phone up a lil bit. Wouldnt officially connect to Sprint network and wouldnt let me update my profite while I was on it. So I'm waiting to hear some feedback before I try this one out to save me the headache. A good custom kernel is the last piece of the puzzle I need to be totally happy on a STOCK ROM for damn near the first time ever lol. Loving my Xposed tweaks now...just need that custom kernel to make it officially official lol.
Does anyone know if this helps with disabling the Screen Adaptive brightness? To get rid of the low brightness flicker while browsing web pages.
I'm using it and I really haven't had any issues. I download No Frills CPU and it's clocked at 2.496 GHz max and 300 MHZ min with ondemand governor. I do see an improvement on my battery but that's with slight usage. That's all the info I have for now hope this helps:good:

Lol not necessarily. Just might mean not enough people have tried it yet. Nobody (with an LS980) complained about wootevers build either and it jacked up my phone when I flashed it.

Do we have a stock kernel to revert to if needed?

Frequencies are handled properly now. CPU isn't handled to clock up all cores to max when benchmarking applications are run anymore. OEMs do this a lot and it's considered cheating. That's why the Nexus 5 doesn't score as high in bechmarks, because AOSP doesn't cheat.
