Something is wrong with my N1's BT ever since I got the Car Dock and Desk Dock.
Lately, it'd always try to connect to paired items that aren't even in range, or turned on for that matter, and trying to connect to an actual device is always a press-and-hope affair.
I currently have four items paired in its memory.
1. BluBridge mini-Jack RX (to convert my car's AUX to BT)
2. Jabra BT2040 (one-ear headset)
3. Car Dock (official one)
4. Desk Dock (official one)
Both docks were bought on eBay, but the packaging and everything doesn't appear to be counterfeit; I'm pretty sure they're the official ones.
A lot of times my phone would reboot when turning on BT, but it's not a full reboot. It always comes back to Home screen a lot quicker than a normal reboot would take.
This has happened before I even rooted the phone, then same case with CM6 and Enomther. Would hate for it to be a hardware issue.
Hi,
I've recently started using Cyanogen's nightly ROM's (current ROM: CyanogenMod-6-10142010-NIGHTLY-N1) and while everything has been fine and dandy so far, I've just noticed that for some reason I cannot (Bluetooth) pair up with my desktop dock anymore.
Otherwise, Bluetooth works fine as I can pair up with my laptop and other phones alright, but not the dock. I also tried to set up dock audio with the phone docked, but while the charging initiates immediately, I still get the "Dock not found - The phone must be docked to configure dock audio" message!?
Any idea why this is happening? Many thanks in advance!
Just installed this last night. All I can say is, slick. I had been using Custom Car Home, which also offers large icons, but Ultra adds street location read out, and speed and direction displays. It also will automatically turn your wifi off, and Bluetooth on when activated, and the reverse, when it turns off. Free 30 day trial, in the market, and $1.99 to purchase the license. Well worth it, imo.

+1 yep. I've been using this since the early beta release.
it's an easier car dock app for setting up shortcuts and dealing with our weird usb--> 3.5mm audio setup. I do still need to use the stock Samsung/TW Music Player to allow me to redirect the audio through the dock, then launch whatever I really want to listen to - this car dock app makes that easier (and has some nice bells & whistles .
I do wish there was some a simple app that would direct media audio out the [desk|car] dock upon launch. Maybe a voodoo sound option or something...
good find....
The only problem I have with this app, is now my son, who is sitting in the back, constantly reminds me of my speed.
Try Galaxy Dock Sound Redirector by xcaliburhand, available in the market. Works for me like a charm. There are no controls, it just automatically redirects sounds to USB when you insert the phone into the car dock.
I have not tried it with the phone calls, imagine it won't work, but I'm so used to "unplugging" the phone and taking the calls over speaker, so that's not an issue for me.
I don't use a wired connection, in my car. I use the Motorola T505, which plays my music, and calls through the stereo over FM.
another good find!

Just installed and headed out to my car to verify function - sounds like just what the proverbial doctor ordered...
Edit: very slick - I plug into the car dock, Car Home Ultra launches and the Galaxy Dock Sound Redirector displays a brief (and silent) pop-up notification that the sound has been redirected to the USB port. Audio from Pandora and TuneIn Radio plays out via the Car Dock simple as that.
When I remove the phone from the dock, audio is reset to normal (with a similar brief pop-up notification). The notification is optional, and activation is selectable for Car and Desk docks.
Thanks!
Thanks for pointing out Galaxy sound redirector! does exactly what I need without forcing me to use the crappy samsung dock app!
I know HashofCodes is a busy guy, and he basically left off dock support off the last bazillion CM10 builds.
But I *do* use the NavDock quite a bit as I do drive a fair bit.
Is there a way to MANUALLY engage car mode? That'll at least work around the problem until HashOfCodes merge the ICS dock codes into CM10...
I mean, it's just an app, right? Albeit hidden app?
Workaround... car dock ultra. 30 day demo in play store. I have it start when it links with my Bluetooth speakerphone
Sent from my XT875 using Tapatalk 4
Not an idea workaround as this workaroun doesn't actually say the phone's docked. It's basically "forced" into car mode. That means apps that detects the car dock, like "motorola car finder" still insists that I don't own the dock and thus refuse to work. Phooey.
Hi, I've been following the forum for a couple of years and its helped me out a lot, I've never posted before but I can't seem to find an answer on this one. I've fiberglassed a nexus 7 dock in my audi tt, at the moment it's going nexus 7>pogo pin dock>headunit>amps>speakers. There have been a few issues regarding volume control, as you may know the volume controls are disabled because of the output being line level, at the moment my headunit is mounted behind some trim under my steering wheel which is really a good solution. What I was wanting to achieve is to have a pre amp equaliser up front for volume controls so I can get rid of the head unit completely, and a dac in between the dock and the equaliser. The part I need help with is figuring out if the dock itself is a dac, I believe that on the Google Play store description it does say the output from the dock is 3.5mm analog, if that is correct, then I'm wondering does the internal dac of the nexus 7 convert the signal through the pogo pins, or is it still digital right up until it goes into the dock? If so, then I'm thinking would it be possible to still use the audio pogo pins, disconnect them from the docks internals, and then just wire them straight to a dac? I hope all of that makes sense. I can't post link to the thread of the install, but if you Google audi tt tablet install, it should be the 2nd one down, thread title is just called tablet install, thanks
