Where are downloaded Sound Sets stored? - HTC Incredible S

You can download additional sound sets from HTC, but where are they stored once you do? I'm unable to find the folder they're stored in.

Changing save directory for Tunee Music app

Hey guys, my dad has a Captivate, and he downloaded Tunee Music so he can download random songs and whatnot, but he doesn't have a micro SD card yet for the phone, and evidently there's no way (through the app) to change the save directory from automatically saving in a "Music" folder on the non-existent SD card. So I was curious if perhaps there is a method (command prompt maybe?) to change the save directory to somewhere on the phone's internal drive.

[Q] Problems with the stock gallery and music player

I just recently started having issues with my gallery and music player.
For the Gallery, I now only see one folder (whereas previously I used to see a bunch of folders) and that folder is full of the same 1 or 2 pictures repeated many times.
For the Music player, I can't see any of my songs anymore.
Not sure when it started, but the first time I noticed it was when I installed FunnyWarp from the market. I've have no idea if the problem is related to FunnyWarp at all... just speculation.
For both the Music Player and Gallery:
I've tried clearing the cache => doesn't work.
I've tried deleting all the files in /sdcard/android/data/com.cooliris.media/cache => doesn't work.
I've tried using sdrescan from the market => doesn't work.
Any ideas before I restore an older back-up (which I don't really feel like doing)...
Thanks.
I've had some success doing this before:
1 - place a period in front of all your media folder names ie: DCIM => .DCIM
2 - open gallery and delete all files, open media player and delete all files
3 - remove period from folder names, and reboot
You may want to back up your media first...

I'll give it a shot in a couple of hours when I get a chance to back up my photos, thanks. Sounds good for the gallery, but for the music player, I don't see any songs in it, so what am I supposed to delete?
Thats a good question - I thought there was an option to clear the database, but it looks like I may be wrong... Maybe see if a different media player will let you reset the db?

[RINGTONES & NOTIFICATIONS] Ripped From LG Optimus 2X Phone | Wow Wow Wee Wow!

These ringtones and notification tones were ripped from the LG Optimus 2X phone. They are actually pretty kick-ass and hopefully you like (most of) them as much as I do.
Installation Instructions (extract the zips) (not flashable)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Create a ringtones folder and a notifications folder on your SD Card
2. Copy the ringtones & notification tones from the download into the newly created folders
3. Use Root Explorer or File Expert as root (free in market) to copy them to /system/media/audio/ringtones & /system/media/audio/notifications
Alternatively you could use ADB to push them to the same locations from your computer.
DOWNLOAD THE RINGTONES HERE
DOWNLOAD THE NOTIFICATION TONES HERE
Follow this link to get the Widgets from the LG Optimus 2X
Great post, thanks!
Thanks for the extras. I'll add them to my collection.

The problem is that most of the phone developers LG, Samsung, etc put their own ringtones on the device but they don't bother to name them anything unique in the .ogg tags. You might have 3 different sound files of guitar sounds but the .ogg tags are all called Guitar so it appears as if you have duplicates (even though they are 3 different sounds).
That is the case with these sounds. They share some of the same names in the tags with the stock sounds. I'm working on sorting them and retagging some to add to my collection.

Do you have an ETA on when your going to upload your collection ?
Still working on the sorting. I have them converted to ogg and tagged (in English, some were Chinese). I'm trying to make sure there won't be any duplicates. I've already counted 5 called "alarm".
I'll probably upload them as individual collections (HTC, Sony, etc) and then one massive collection.

edit: sorry guys, wrong thread.

Go to settings, apps, music, clear data. Same thing for gallery. If that doesn't work you might just have a bad flash going. Reflash the ROM and go from there.

Also...make sure there ate no ".nomedia" files, if you see this file it will cancel media scanner for the folder its located in as well as its sub-derectories...spook...if its in root, you will never see anything.
Do you or did you have Rom manager installed? There was a version of Rom manager released a few days ago that created a .nomedia in the root of the phone...
To see the .nomedia file you may have to enable the "view hidden files" under settings...

Try hide it pro from the market
try create a folder starting with a dot, like: .photos.
and put the pictures there...
In the folder where you want to store and hide photos create a file called .nomedia then move the photos into the folder.
If you add the .nomedia file to an existing folder you may need to wipe Gallery data before it takes effect. Works on Sammy and HTC, haven't tried it myself on Sony.
OR, if rooted, get LUKS Manager from the market. Works like Windows Truecrypt.

I think media storage is more important. You also better reboot your phone.

Or you can download quickpic app to hid the folders for you..
it actually only create .nomedia file for you..
Install 'hide it pro' app downloading via Google play store, its free and after installation it will be renamed as audio manager, and tapping at 'audio manger' you will be able to install your password and you can view your hidden photos, videos. You can encrypt your data also.
And if you have root acess, you can hide your app downloading its plugin, located at advanced settings. Then you can launch your app calling @ ##yourpassword .

To hide your porn, clear data in media storage and album apps after renaming the .folder.

I tried Hide It Pro but prefer LUKS. Hide It just seems to change the name of your file and copy it to an obscure location, but you can still find it with a file explorer. I didn't try the encryption but it looked to me like it would only encrypt individual file(s)?
With LUKS, you create a password-protected encrypted volume (can take a while) and then you mount it. Once the volume is mounted it looks like a regular folder. You can create whatever folders you want and just cut/paste any filetype into it. Encryption is on the fly so you don't need to encrypt/decrypt files. In any file explorer, browse to a file in the volume, double-click and the file opens....pictures, music, videos, spreadsheets, text files etc, all open transparently out of the mounted volume. When you dismount the volume you cannot see inside it.
Tried changing a name of an existing folder to .saved and the folder disappear completely ?? any reason why this happened?
And tried creating a new one with .pvt ,sadly this not work, ast the folder created cant be seen?anyone experienced this problem before?
Just to clear the matter, lady friend sent me a bikini photo, not porn or any sort but since the album shows all on the Z, had a lot people want to check my phone out scanning through my photos etc which made me wonder if there is an app to ensure privacy.
Hide It Pro works well Thanks guys!! :good:
