I was wondering, does ZumoCast work well with the laptop dock? If so that would make it a much more appealing gadget.
Thanks
You can run any app from your phone, including Zumocast, with the lapdock.
yes you can run any app. the only thing i found is you cant play youtube vids from the lapdock, you have to use the youtube app on the phone and inlarge it to watch them. i just got done watching a movie through zumacast steaming from my pc at home. awesome!!!!!!!!!
Awesome thanks so much can't wait for my laptop dock to get here ^^
Will it work on the HD Dock to TV via HDMI?

FYI, orb is a free PC program that allows streaming videos and music to clients (such as phones).
I use Orb mainly to watch recorded TV shows and Live TV shows on my phone. Let me know if there's an alternative method.
AFAIK, there are 2 ways to use Orb on Android phones.
1. Orblive app. The free version (with limitations) works well on Vogue and I assume the full one too. But the full version costs $10.
2. mycast.orb.com (free): The only working format for me is 3gp-aac/rtsp. But the problem is I think it's played in default video player (I don't know what it is) but I can't play it full screen. There are black bars on 4 edges.
How do I change to a default player that allows full screen playback?
Thanks for turning me on to this. It works very well too. I can watch live tv, recorded tv, schedule recordings, moniter my webcam, you name it. Thanks again
Can I play music from my network storage without my PC being on? I use Orb on my PC, phone, and Xbox 360.

im having trouble finding this on my 360. Where is it?
Anyone use orb? I use it on my Droid x and it streams just fine but on the gtab I get video but no audio. Anyone know what to do?
thanks
Also when I try to play audio files orb force closes
I'm using Orb with my Gtab to watch TV from my HAVA box, and it works ok. I had to configure a user in Orb to use the Flash player. I installed the Orb software a LONG time ago, so it's an older version.

Before I shell out $30 for a dock, want to know what will stream to the TV with the HDMI dock?
I don't buy from the media hub. I Download a lot of Youtube with tubemate (for my daughter/son MLP-Friendship is magic/Phineas and ferb (ok ok i admit I watch those by myself at times, can I get a brohoof?)) and I figure those will stream fine.
My main question is, when traveling, I would love to lug this instead of my Xbox 360 for netflix streaming. So 1. Does it stream netflix to the TV without the protected content crap message? 2. Does it look good? or does netflix downgrade the settings cause it recognizes it's on a tablet?
Trying to think of other things I would want streamed, oh maybe pictures. I don't know. Hope someone can answer they've done it.
I'm running the Overcome mod.
Has anyone successfully got Google Music to work on the PlayStation 3? I have had no luck and would prefer just using my PS3, which is already connected to my TV, rather than having to drag my dock, HDMI cable and XOOM out to the living room.
Any help would be great. Thanks!
Nope, it doesn't work. I've tried it as well but have all my music available via DLNA server anyway. I assume you've got the Google Music Manager running on your PC, in which case your music is all on your PC so you could run a DLNA server and stream it to your PS3. That does work a treat.

Really? I did not know you could do that. What program are you using on your PC to stream?
I use TVMobili, but there's loads of them out there. I use that particular one because it works flawlessly. I used to use TVersity, and I've heard good things about Twonky as well. They're all pretty much the same and will stream music, pics and video across your local network. It's a doddle to set up and a doddle to use.
NVM.

now seems to be possible directly from your Android phone with AirSync by double Twist but in my PS3 doesn't work. I have install this app in my Nexus4 and my PS3 read this mediaserver, see the music, but if try to play not work, i see in my ps3 menu "format not support". Sameone could help me?
So my dad has this love for playing movies on the TV with his new tablets. I told him he might as well buy the Chromecast because it will work wirelessly and he doesn't need to go across the room to pause and play (he had to use HDMI cables).
Anyway, I didn't know til we got the thing that mirroring is only supported on a small amount of devices. I got it to work on my phone because I'm fully rooted with a KitKat rom on my G2, which is actually a supported device. But my dad has a Hisense tablet running 4.2.2 (latest update). I'm a little nervous about breaking it to him that he actually can't stream movies from his favorite app or mirror his screen.
He uses the app Show Box, I'm sure a lot of people know about it. Its basically free movies. I was wondering if there was an app like MX Player that has Chromecast support. I.e. he can stream movies with this app, and the video player that is playing the movie can cast it.
Or if there is a workaround to mirror the screen on a 4.2.2 device, hopefully doesn't require root.
Our internet isn't too fast, so we're not too hip on downloading movies and having to wait forever to stream them locally. Unfortunately, that might be the best option though.
Thanks!

Found an app called Web Video Caster. Does exactly what I was looking for. When you play a video in an app, just choose the option.
