ADW Glow on press - Motorola Droid 3

Long time ADW user, but this doesn't seem to be working for me now. I'm using ADW Ex, and I'm trying to remove the outer glow on the icons when I press them. I go to change it to any color and set the alpha all the way down so it can't be seen, yet I still get the ugly ass orange square around my icons. Is there a different way to go about this? Thanks.

I had the same problem, I was trying to replicate my settings off my old Droid, but couldn't seem to find or get the settings right. Ended up using a Titanium Backup of ADW Ex from the old droid, and then changed what I wanted off that to get it right. I don't know if some of the old settings have been hidden or what.

[Q] ADW Default Layout

so i have looked around on here quite a bit and havent really found any kind of answer as to what file controls this or how to change it.
so i usually use the CM6 version of ADW i like that by default it doesnt have the Galaxy S drawers, and the drawer is also semi transparent, well in order to get this theme i was messing with to work and still be useable i had to use the standalone version of ADW, but it has none of those things by default i know i can change them myself but i would much rather edit something now than have to do it every time i reinstall it.
edit: so i exported it through the app and got the ADW_settings.xml how do i add it into the .apk so its the default settings
Did you ever figure this out by any chance? Hate to bump a dead thread but i have the same question about using my current adw settings as default so if my mom has to wipe her phone there will be very minimal setup etc

[Q] Displaying more icons on the home screen

I am not familiar with the HOME of Android OS.
Currently using Panda Home for my Gtab but also tried couple of other HOME app.(forgot names..) but none of them.. seems like not let me display many icons on the screen. I mean, I see the big gap between icons..
Is there any app to let me put more icons on Pandahome? or Do I need to use some specific HOME app to do that?
let me know...
Both adw launcher and launcher pro allow you to set the number of rows and columns on the screen. I prefer adw .
He is correct, adw or launcher pro are the flavors of choice around here. Personally I use Launcher pro. In the advanced setting you can set how many rows, columns, and icons to allow.
Thanks!
I see.. its relying on HOME APP.. I guess, I did not tried those two yet.
I will try it out.
thanks all!

No custom dock ADW EX....

I posted this here, as I only saw it start happening when switching to my Thunderbolt. I bought ADW EX launcher from the market quite a while ago. Through updating and switching devices, I now have no option to set a custom dock background. The option to pick a custom dock doesn't even show up in the settings menu, goes straight from Dock style to desktop dots. I have installed, reinstalled, wiped, etc. Any ideas....am I going mad? Thanks guys!
Ask the developer of ADW.
Nevermind....found it. I couldn't find in the change log where it said it was moved, but you have to go into themes>main dock...you can customize it from there. Need to look a little closer next time. Oops. Thanks guys!

Wallpaper Showing in Appdrawer

I don't get how i did it, cause it was just showing the standard black background for the app drawer a few seconds ago, but now it shows my wallpaper even when i open the app drawer. Anyone kno how i did this, and how i can switch back. I like it the way it is, but in case i wanna change it back
I am using ADW, GingerVolt 2.0 and IceCreamKangwich Theme. The only change i made prior to it doing this was make it so the wallpaper wasn't scrollable anymore, but that had nothing to do with obviously.
I'm a dumbass, it was the transparency setting, somehow it got tweaked lol

ADW sold out to google?

Hi, just updated my paid for adw ex and, shock/horror, the ugly google search bar (which i never use) was back on on my desktop.
oh, i remember why i got adw launcher, just drag it to to bin.
er... its not moving, its not moving.
oh, wait a minute, whats the symbol on the end of the serach bar.
well, well, its adw settings.
i will try to recover the previous version of adw unless someone has an easy answer
(just checked on android market reviews and it seems i am not alone)
Isn't there the search widget and a option to for the resistant search bar, based on portrait/landscape?
It is called "Actionbar" and can be disabled.
ADW Settings -> "Screen setting" (or something similar, using it in German where it is called " Bildschirm-Einstellungen") -> Actionbar Design
OK, thanks chris_82. I am back on previous version now. There was also an ugly blue outline when changing screens and a thick white line on my clear dock icons. Also it was "slaggy"
I'll be steering clear of this for now

You can change all of these settings in the settings screen. On my installation adw launcher ex works really well and the new version is on of the smoothest launcher I have ever tried.

So is there a way to change the ugly blue outline added to the screen transitions? I've tried themes and none seem to change this. My phone is not blue and these transition outlines clash horribly.
