Tmobile Wing Imtermittant call recieving

Okies, I'm posting this here because I'm not exactly sure what the issue is.
I have been have issues with my cellular radio shutting off and not restarting. For example If i go more than like 3 hours without making or receiving a call it does not receive calls at all until I make a call (which I believe resets the radio?) So no missed calls, just no calls altogether. This seems to be a recent occurrence, ever since I flashed to TTrans Open Touch 3.0, I have since then tried 4.0 and am still having the same issue. I will be reverting to the original ROM tonight but would rather stay with my current one. Any help is greatly appreciated.
*I can spell really I can intermittent*
try using a different radio rom and seeing if that works.

Allow me to introduce you to my friends the comma (,) and the period (.).
Yikes...
sorry, was in a hurry
sorry was in a hurry when i typed this.
Now,
let me introduce to you the "Shift" key; sandwiched conveniently on both left & right sides of your keyboard!
Back to the issue,
I'd attempt a complete 100% wipe, including going back to past FW that you didn't have issues with and go from there. Alas, I'm not quite knowledgeable in this particular aspect of the G1.
Lets just hope you aren't missing a particularly urgent phone call.
Ok, Other than my grammar.
I got thedude 1.5 cupcake running.
My issue is my sister-inlaw has verizon and is unable to connect to me.
She gets no ring but I do; Then I am able to hear her but not vise-versa!!!
I didn't think my Grammar mattered when i was having an issue and wanted to get my post up ASAP so #@$% you very much for the help!!!
Sounds like a network-network issue rather than your phone being rooted. Were you able to talk to your sister-in-law fine before you rooted your phone (if you even did)?
network to network
Yes up till I flashed the radio I had no problems. After flashing I have many connection issues mostly with incoming calls. I have no problem calling back who ever calls me; Just
With incoming as far as I can tell. I know the network is flawed but i'd like to have the incoming working again. As of this post I'm running the dudes cupcake 1.0 themed with ba class 6 8 gig with 7000 m split ext2 rest apps to sds and 188 apps and latest radio via jf updater. Thx for the help.

Use the NBH file.
NBH
I've used rc29 NBH. The one to root, not sure what other one to get or use.
I've also fladhed the radio back with the jf 33 radio file. Still no luck! No incoming calls, people who call don't hear a ring but I do I try to answer and I can hear them but they can't here me or anything. I love my phone but would like to use it for calls! Thx
unroot your phone and talk to t-mo about it. when i first read the issue it seemed like it was only one person who couldn't hear you so i would have said their phone sucked, but if no one can here you then the odds of everyone else's phone sucking is pretty slim. try unrooting to see if it helps. also did you check the baseband ounder "about phone" after each radio flash? might have a problem there.
p.s. to those worried about capitalization screw off, but for future reference commas and periods are good

It already is stable.... been that way for about a month As for Sprint, they're having VVM issues, just make sure in contacts you don't have everyone going to VM automatically, as that is an option in CM
the vvm is working fine, i get the files 45 seconds after someone calls, i dont get the phone calls, when you call my phone it rings right to vm as if the phone was turned off. but the vm and the sprint vvm work great, its how i know someone actualy called my phone. im wondering if this is a tower issue untill about 3 weeks ago i roamed at home now im on sprints 1x network.

There's a radio newer than the. 27 hmm which one are you referring to? I might want to get off the desire radio and try it out.

yeah there is a new radio i dled it and flashed, we shall see how this does. but the new radio has only been out for a few days at most
call fowarding
I had this issue once, turns out I had accidently done a call forwarding for my phone to a non-existant number so it automatically went to VM I'd check that.

[Q] Cannot hear or talk during a call

Hey guys,
so recently I rooted my 2-week old Incredible S, and I installed Cyanogen on the phone. Everything works flawlessly, except for the fact I can't hear or talk when I or someone else makes a call, it's just awkardly quiet.
I can make the call though, but the clock keeps on ticking without me hearing something. All sound is on maximum and speaker-mode doesn't help either. Nor do I block the microphone or anything like that.
I tried everything like removing battery, SIM-card but even a factory reset didn't work. When I call with Skype it does work, I can talk and hear. Other applications that use sound or voice also work.
Does anybody have any advice?

Since CM7.1 is a Gingerbread ROM, you now need to flash a Gingerbread radio, too.
So that's it? Oh god, I'm relieved! I already spent hours and hours on the internet searching for some bug or faulty app.
Thanks for the fast reply!
Hm, so I finished installing a new Gingerbread radio on the phone by using some of the links on this page. Now I can't connect to any service or mobile provider.
Am I doing something wrong again? I already tried almost all of those gingerbread radio's.
EDIT: It seems like the problem fixed itself. All that was needed was a simple reboot, and now my connection is way better than before.
I'm glad it's finally working now!

When you first set up CM 7, which service provider did you pick? Have you tried running the CM 7 setup again or do a system reset to force CM 7 to go through the setup again?
Is this a branded IncS and if so, which carrier?

Urgent help - AWFUL sound during calls!

Just got a Captivate and I whenever I make or receive calls there's a loud interference crackling sound like an old internet modem UNLESS I set the phone to SPEAKERPHONE. I can make the call and I can hear the other person but it's almost impossible to understand anything the sound is so bad if I don't set the phone to speakerphone.
I've tested skype just to be sure it's not speaker related and I could hear and speak perfectly.
If I play a music or a movie the sound is perfect though.
I've tried a bunch of different roms, modems and carriers to no effect.
ROMs that were tested
CyanogenMod-7.1.0-Captivate, I897UCKF1, I897UCKE3, stock Froyo, Continuum, Mosaic, Milky´s i9000 GB ROM (no interference crackling noise during calls at all, but people could hear me and I could not hear the people. If I plug in the headphone I can hear but I hear with the interference crackling noise. If I press the speakerphone I can hear everything perfectly).
Modems that were tested (via odin AND CWM): kb1, ke3, kh3, kj3, kk2, jl1, kk1, kk2, jh7, kk4, jh2, kf1, jh2, ji6, jj4, kb1, js1, jv6, jpd, jpg, zsjpg

Tried that but at this point I'm thinking it's a problem with the mic/speakers.

I've requested the Mods to close the other one so that I could sum everything up here and increase my chances of actually getting some help. BTW, could you please delete your post to keep this thread clean? I will delete my post too.
If it isnt a rom/modem/kernel issue then its hardware. In wich case not many ppl would know how to fix it. I would recommend talking to the seller of the phone or maybe (depending on the age of it) comunicating with samsung for the 1 year warranty thing.
I've tested skype just to be sure it's not speaker related and I could hear and speak perfectly...so I guess at least this rules out hardware malfunction.
Do you guys think it could be something with the dialer?
IMPORTANT DEVELOPMENTS! I've tested making and receiving calls with the speakerphone on and I can hear and be heard perfectly! It's only when I make or receive calls with the normal settings that the issue occurs.
Odin one click back to stock Froyo. Don't change your modem, restore any settings, or do anything else but turn the phone on. If it still sounds like crap, it is a hardware problem. If it sounds good, it's something you're doing after the install.
Agreed. At a minimum, factory reset the phone from the settings (backup any data before).

It doesn't make sense that I can hear perfectly when in speakerphone and while making skype calls...both use the same hardware.
Could this be carrier related? Even though I have full reception bars when I try to find available carriers it finds all the main ones except mine (VIVO), and it finds a number instead (72411).

That's not entirely true. If it is your earpiece that has failed, it would still sound fine on speakerphone because it is using the speaker on the back, not the one on the earpiece.
It could be your carrier. I assume you're using the right SIM card for your carrier?
As an aside, jumping from thread to thread is making it unbelievably difficult to help you. Please just start a thread and stick with it so those of us trying to help you actually have the information we need to do so. I understand that you think that you are helping us by summarizing the facts, but what you really are doing is getting rid of valuable information that people are trying to use to figure out your problem. Info that you may not think was important (like the fact that you are in Brazil) could actually be the key to figuring it out.
Are you running CM7?

I've tested making skype calls and I could hear and be heard perfectly. That is why I was assuming it was not my earpiece.
I've tested 2 SIM cards from my carrier. Since the phone is unlocked I will try to test a SIM from another carrier to see if the issue persists...though if it's carrier related I'm not sure what I could do.
I'm not using CM7, but I did try it out.

Bump..............
I have tried SIM cards from 2 other carries and even though the phone had service the sound issue persisted.

If it persists through flashes to stock and over multiple carriers, I would suspect it's a hardware issue, unless someone has any other ideas.
---------- Post added at 04:40 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:34 PM ----------
Although... you could try playing with the frequency bands to see if it gives you better results. On stock, I believe it is *#2263# (if that doesn't work, search around for band selection). This should take you to the band selection screen, which will give you the ability to manually select which frequency bands you are using. You could try different bands to see if it gives you access to something better.
What I really don´t understand is how come this problem doesn´t happen when I make calls with skype (since it uses the same hardware). This is what really makes me perplex about this problem.
Because skype uses the data network and phone calls use the voice network. Also, phone calls would use your audience chip, while skype wouldn't (I don't think anyway). If it's hardware, my suspicion is that you have an audience chip problem. This sounds like the same issue you get when you flash an i897 modem on an i9000 ROM, presumably because the modem is expecting the audience chip but it's not working.
What made me think it was a band issue was that you can't see your carrier with your carrier's SIM in. This would point to your phone not seeing your carrier's frequency band.
If you sort that out and still have static, next you could try flashing an i9000-based ROM (pretty much any GB ROM but Pinnacle, Cognition, or Illuminance) and try that. i9000 ROMs don't use the audience chip at all, so if that is the issue it won't matter.
