Moment/Epic/Nexus1/NexusS Ringtones

First I want to thank to ptfdmedic for posting the zip for the Nexus S ringtones!
I haven't seen this yet, and I'm kind of a ringtone whore. I made myself an updated zip with the tones from the Moment, Epic, Nexus 1, and Nexus S.
Just thought I'd share it in case anyone else would like it.
I removed all of the personal ones I've thrown in over time. If I missed some I apologize!

Fixed the script, so it should be good to go!

Ah. It might not be clearing the dirs properly. I'll take a look at it in awhile.
I checked it out. It looks to be an issue with the naming of the new files. For example I have
No_limits.ogg
the zip adds a file called
No_Limits.ogg
leading to duplicate ring tones. There are quite a few of those and a few rings that are faulty for whatever reason and don't make any sound. Overall it's a nice zip but you may need to go through your system/media files to remove dupes. Still, I really like the new notifications sounds.
Thanks!
Yeah, it's because the script isn't clearing the folders properly before it adds the files.
I renamed them all to be "uniform" because I'm kind of a freak about that. I didn't get time to fix it last night, but I will tonight for sure
I'm a newbie to flashing with the Epic.... already bricked my wife's phone once. =)
I upgraded to EH17 using Odin and apparently that messed up all her ringtones and notification sounds. I wanted to know if there was a way I could flash this file using CWM 3.1.0.1. I get an error msg saying that amend scripting is not supported.
Thanks, been lookin since the rom I'm usin only came with 4 rintones

[BOOT ANIMATION] Pink Fluffy Unicorns dancing on rainbows!

Since I lost my job this month (and my wife with it for that mather) I got a lot of spare time on my hands and since I read a lot of requests throughouth the internet about the "Pink fluffy unicorns" song.
And what is more fun then booting up with that f*cked up song?
For the people who don't know what I'm talking about:
So why not spend my time giving some fun to you people out there and learn a thing or two about my android while I'm at it
So here it is..
Last week I didn't even know the animation is made out of *.PNG's so it took me some time, mostly because I was doing something wrong for the fourth or fifth time.
The most time however took the tweaking with the framerate so the singing and talking was in sync.
But hey, I tested it about a thousend times already and it seems to work perfect!
FOR ROOT USERS ONLY
Copy and paste the bootanimation.zip into the same folder where your adb.exe is located which is usually program files\android\android-sdk\platform-tools\.
open up adb through your cmd prompt and execute the following commands to load the new boot animation:
Code:
adb remount
adb push bootanimation.zip /data/local
Also extract and put the android_audio.mp3 file into the same folder as adb and type:
Code:
adb push android_audio.mp3 [COLOR=Black][B][I]/system/customise/resources/[/I][/B][/COLOR]
[COLOR=Red]or in some cases
[/COLOR][I][B][COLOR=Blue]/data/local/[/COLOR][/B][/I]
[COLOR=Red]or [/COLOR]
[B][COLOR=Blue]/system/customize/resource/[/COLOR][/B]
Now we test everything out by rebooting
Code:
adb reboot
Link to bootanimation.zip
The needed mp3 is the attachment at the end of this post.
And if you have any requests just name them, cause I'm probably glad I'll get my mind off of things.
And if you can then spare a donation it would be surely appreciated, cause it's not really been Moët & Chandon the past month.

I think you can try "/data/local/" in stead
I put the mp3 in there but I heard nothing when I rebooted. I'm trying to have just the song when I boot but my own bootanimation.

MusicMod Thread?

Hi all. Just installed Serendipity! I am loving musicmod, but can't seem to get it to read the internal music folder structure properly. Did some searching...but...would anyone have a link to an appropriate thread?

Sorry for not supplying enough info. Here's the issue.
PowerAmp "Albums" tab can read /mnt/sdcard/music exactly the way the subfolders are structured. Songs and album folders are in order and complete.
MusicMod "Albums" tab shows split album folders and duplicate songs.
Can't for the life of me figure out how to fix this.

Ok...somehow the tags got screwed up. Now I have to figure out why some can be edited, and some cannot. Back to work!

[Q] ZIO Preloaded Ringtones

Where the heck are the preloaded ringtones for the Zio? I am trying to add a ringtone to the directory.
Hi they are located in system/media/audio. You will need to convert mp3 etc.. to a .ogg file on your pc. Google ogg converter there are a couple free ones out there good luck.
Oh you might wanna post these questions in the general department from now on. You might upset someone this is the development department.

Changing UI sounds

I remember on my S4 all I had to do was use root browser and move the mp3 file to the audio/UI folder then rename it to the sounds original.ogg and then reboot. This does not work for me on my s5. I want to make my volume adjust sound different and it is just silent unless I delete the renamed mp3 that is .ogg and replace with the original .ogg. any tips on how I can achieve this?
*I don't suggest people try this if they don't know what I'm talking about. If you mess up or remove the original file you lose it and can mess up your device. *

The path is system/media/audio/UI/PowerOn.ogg if that is what you are looking for. I will advise that it needs to be an ogg file, mp3 will not work. I tried it.
