You can try to flash it via RSD lite.
Wipe it at first, and flash it.
It will let u input the code

Hi Ive been doing a ton of research on unlocking the thrill, seems like the only way is to buy an unlock code? Are there any other methods available yet?
***MOD EDIT: you better use MarketPlace forum for seles. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately att has a policy for unlocking their phones. If you give them a call they can give you the details. Other than that though you're gonna have to pay.

Att should unlock it, since they are not the exclusive carrier, that's what I was told when I called about the Pantech crossover, its exclusive and can't be until December.

You can also unlock your phone by rooting and flashing the cwm recovery

This, and carrier unlocking are two different things. Carrier unlocking requires a code.

Yea while the Thrill may have a couple Identical Twin sister phones out there, ATT is going to say they have exclusive rights the P925 Thrill 4G all day.

Not exactly when you install CWM you can do a G-Free and a Radio OFF to unlock the radio baseband so whenever you flash a rom some of them run this commands

For my last phone a tmo G2 I did the gfree method for my new phone the LG Thrill I just flashed several ROMS (thriller, seek, some optimus 3d roms) and I don't remember in which one the phone actually got unlocked. think it was in one I did with the KDZ flash
Hi guys,
I have a question about bootloader unlocking. I know it doesn't unlock the carrier, so I've contacted Three UK and they're obtaining a code for my Xperia X8 that I bought on PAYG which will be £15.34 and can take up to 2 weeks.
My question is that if I go ahead and unlock the bootloader so that I can put newer kernels in (and therefore newer ROMs), will it remove the unlock code they gave me in any form, or will my phone always stay unlocked?
Also, if it goes back to locked, can I use that same code from Three and just unlock it again?
Thanks guys.
Also, I assume if anything goes wrong I can use the Pc Companion to practically wipe back to manufacturers kernel/rom/BL/settings?
You guys can't keep posting the Same question.
Anyway, your phone will get locked original network
Sent from my X8 using XDA
I believe if you use code to unlock SIM you' ll have phone same as one that was never locked. And none of your actions should lock it again.
It would be nice if somebody experienced confirm this, though.

I didn't intend to ask the same question again. I did use the search so I apologise if it's already been asked but I'd love a definitive answer.
My guess is that either way, my IMEI will stay the same of course so in theory the same code could be used numerous times on the phone regardless. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
I think I understand from your post that after unlocking BL it'll revert to original carrier lock? Same code or?

YES, I have 11w41, I unlocked my BL and I have now Alfs-8 with firedroid 1.1.
But I'm very lucky and my phone is s special one. Only one bug that is caused by the unlock procedure: I can't send text messages, it's just "sending" it, never gets done.

Do you recently disable some app with Autostarts? Once I had that problem and solved by enabling Messaging in Autostarts.

What's your current bootloader version?
The easiest way to put in a new bootloader is just to grab the .902 FXZ. It will make sure that you're on a new one.

I know but but it can be updated right? I have "awakened" the gsm in the phone and I am using an AT&T prepaid when I can't get a signal with Verizon. I read in the forum that to do this while on an ICS rom you need to update the bootloader to A.72 to get it to work. That is why I'm asking.

I'm sorry but I guess I never heard of updating the bootloader.
Are you talking about baseband or kernel? If not, I guess I can't help.
Latest bootloader would be with the .902 update.

Me neither. All you really can do with the bionic is install the latest update. Not really sure if it changes the boot loader. I was under the impression that it updated the radios and glitches in the os. Never heard of it changing the boot loader.

Weird, you should have to have anything to do with the official bootloader, you should be using ClockworkMod. Still I could be wrong.

What? You somehow activated gsm part of Qualcomm 6600?
Also, with 902 FXZ update I have 0A.61 bootloader.

Just flash a stock rom and wipe your data. That's all!
Try giving a good title. Writing urgent wont make it. You have to give a clue of your prob so that people here could easily know if they could help or not.
Hope that helps. Just sharing what I learned from posting on XDA.

I dont know much about unlocking so you better read about that. I cant link Jailbreaking and flashing together. I think it won't.
