I have 3 stock sgs phones, all of them have Romanian CSC
2.3.4 JVQ from CNX (vodafone)
2.3.3 JVQ from ORO (orange)
2.3.4 JVQ from COA (cosmote)
My beef is that the 2.3.3 from orange and also the 2.3.3 from vodafone, which were the first operators to upgrade to gingerbread had gtalk audio/video working correctly. Then came the 2.3.4 update from Vodafone which ...disabled..completely the audio and video functions. Also, cosmote, which jumped from 2.2 to 2.3.4, also has disabled audio & video.
Know I don't know if they did that on purpose, but I don't understand how come 2.3.3 has gtalk working fine, but in 2.3.4 it's disabled.
Also, I think they just put the number 2.3.4 just so some people would stop requesting the update, when JVQ is actual a 2.3.3 update.
Anyone experienced this behavior from going to 2.3.3 to 2.3.4 on stock firmware, from romania or other countries?
Because vodafone is also blocking viber in the netherlands and romania, so maybe they just decided to nerf all audio/video capabilities which required internet access, from their servers or directly from the firmware.

I am the new user of SGS..
I have phone with Eclair 2.1 and baseband I9000DDJG4..
I want to upgrade it to Froyo 2.2, how can I upgrade it?
Please help me.
I'm little messed up with what this baseband means?
Hi Rahul,
Still samsung have not yet released the Froyo update to indian galaxy S, by next week you can update using Kies. Baseband is nothing to do with fryo update.
You can use Registr Hack to update to froyo 2.2, if you are going to update it go for JPA, its fast and smooth.
1) Change the following registry keys
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Samsung\Kies\DeviceDB\1]
"SoftwareRevision"="I9000XXJF3/I9000OXAJF3/I9000XXJF3/I9000XXJF3"
"ProductCode"="GT-I9000HKDXEU" <--- There you have to put your Product Code. I used for example European Countries Code
"HIDSWVER"=""
"DEVCONINFO"=""
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Samsung\Kies\]
"LocalVer"="1.5.3.10103.100"
This is very good one### its fast one
Nordic Countries: GT-I9000HKDXEE --> PDA:JPA / PHONE:JPP / CSC: JP4
Only editing these registry will allow me to upgrade the firmware? Will it cause any problem?
What are registry edits for JPA firmware? Can I use the same you've given above?
I have a i9000t.
Looking to speed up my phone more.
I have Darkys 7.8 & Voodoo O/C kernel on my phone atm.

FAST i9000T
I have gone through a number of changes to my Telecom NZ i9000T and found without having to root the phone to get more speed, it is best to use the modem file:
I9000BVJJPA
As TNZ have personalised info on there CSC, you can use another. Telecom NZ had audio issues on 2.1 and released 2.2 for users experiencing the audio issue. It is available on forums and works great of 850mhz. This is my full list:
PDA: I9000TDJP2
PHONE: I9000BVJBA
CSC: I9000TTNZJP2
BUILD: 2010.11
Hi folks. I've searched the forum and can't find anything that specifically addresses this particular issue.
I bought my SGS I9000 unlocked in Egypt (yes, I was recently evacuated) with 2.1 and have updated via KIES to 2.2. My phone is rooted and has the Arabic firmware.
My currently installed versions are:
PDA: I9000JPJPG
Phone: I9000JXJPE
CSC: I9000JPJPF
I don't want the Arabic Firmware and want to permanently change to a US firmware BEFORE 2.3 is released and I want to retain the KIES upgrade capability. My question is this: How do I change the permanent location of my phone so all future KIES upgrades will be automatic? Thanks.

Just curious, why do you want to retain KIEs upgrade capability in the first place?
Well basically I jusy want to retain my apps (I know about and have AppBrain) and I want the phone to be as though it was bought here.

Hello everybody, good morning.
in last weekend played a lot with my I9000B. After several attempts to update the version of Android to version 2.3.3 and several problems (slowness, camera, TV and others), I returned to install version 2.2.1 and the only problem that I found the version of Claro Brazil I9000HKBZTA and I ended up installing the version for Entel (Chile) 2.2.1 I9000BVJJPG.
Does anyone know where I can get the official version 2.2.1 of the operator Claro Brazil, even an older version 2.1, then upgrade by Kies?
Thank you.
Did you save original firmware neither do others .
Best to look in the Brazil post on here .
Possible to downgrade by flashing stock eclair rom via odin and then using Kies spoofing to trick Kies into an upgrade .

Hello Thanks for the help. I tested the software I SpoolFw, it works for what was proposed but ...
In fact I would go back the original firmware operator Claro.
Another problem is that by changing the values of CSC and Phone, the Kies does not update the firmware.
Kies only updates official network supplied firmware it cannot read any other firmware .

yes kies only works with original rom.
I would like and install the official rom.
Brazil, operator Claro.
I have a galaxy s i9000t (next g telstra) and im still running 2.2 telstra update but thinking of going to gingerbread 2.3.4
