yup tried to port to my evo 3d havent gotten it to boot yet ive gotten to the bootanimation but after the bootanimation ends my phone restarts itself like literally restarts
And they said our phone was dead.
-My life is a shooting range, people never change-
Is there anything new we can find out about the vigor from the leak that we don't already know? Like anything New in the software or something that could say something about the hardware?

Can you tell if this phone will have NFC? googling doesn't yield any results.

Near Field Communication is an interesting technology but I haven't heard any news if it will be on this phone yet.

Not really expecting a TON of help on this, but any help would be great!
Anyways, ive been searching around for various /system/prop.build edits.
ive found a few edits i liked off various roms and other things... like for the camera, resolution, density, VM-heap size, dalvik boost, ect... but nothing that REALLY stands out. 90% of all the edits i found were downloaded mods, and i want to manually edit lines myself, not totally replace all my work ive done.
So i guess what im asking for is if anyone knows any good edits to put in, or somewhere i can find more mods/edits i can do. Like a list of mods or things that will boost anything in my system.
Ill update this later tonight/tomorrow with my current build.prop, so that you can see what i already have... then maybe you can make some suggestions from there.
Milestone
TelusLite v5
LauncherPro (paid)
GOT 2.2.1
HERE IS MY SYSTEM/BUILD.PROP
Feel free to copy it.
If you know any edits, please suggest them.
Questions are welcome as well.

To make the phone ring faster when dialing out, I changed
ro.telephony.call_ring.delay=3000
to
ro.telephony.call_ring.delay=1000
Now the phone rings pretty much instantly when dialing out.
To enable better scrolling speed through lists, I changed
windowsmgr.max_events_per_sec=55
to
windowsmgr.max_events_per_sec=60
Scrolling through the app drawer and contacts and any lists really is now smoother
Now, to save battery by decreasing the amount of time Wifi looks for an access point, I changed
wifi.supplicant_scan_interval = 60
to
wifi.supplicant_scan_interval = 90
Now wifi will scan once every 1.5 minutes when not around a known location instead of once every minute which will save battery.
I also changed the Dalvik VM heap size from
dalvik.vm.heapsize=30m
to
dalvik.vm.heapsize=32m

And what did you use to edit and apply these values?
I downloaded a fix patch for language pack that had build prop in it (see dexters miui post) and edited it with a txt editor and saved it back to the language pack update and applied it with open recovery update

I dont have the windowsmgr i used the "customize build.prop" in the GOT recovery.. Also my ROM comes with a pre-set prop file. As for the dalvik-heap i set mine to 40.

Dropped my density to:
ro.sf.lcd_density=190
smaller icons, better cam res, pics are cleaner, desktop is larger.
#proximit sensor screen off delay
mot.proximity.delay=150
#proximit sensor disable touch distance
mot.proximity.distance=60
boosts proximity sensitivity... responds MUCH faster.

Hi guys,
Can i use the console in Androidiani OR 3.3 while in Recovery Mode. In OR there's a console menu there. If i just edit those values directly (of course backing up first) then rebooting will these changes apply? Or do i need to do anything beforehand?
hi, i am looking for a dump of the build.prop for the droid bionic.
i am wanting to do a little experimenting with my nook Tab with app compatibility.
if a kind soul would post a dump of there build.prop i would greatly appreciate it.
The build.prop file is I believe a simple text file, please folks a simple copy and paste of your build.prop
would be quite helpful.
Here you go!

A silent, but not a secret release, 4.4 kitkat is here on the day when everyone can use some candy When will the official version land on our motox?
Motorola google + hints "soon": https://plus.google.com/u/0/+Motorola/posts
Hopefully soon especially that moto is updating apps separately it could mean that the updates will come sooner as moto is handing its apps through the play store

PS +Motorola hinting at kit kat coming
Here is a quick rundown of what we will get: http://www.android.com/versions/kit-kat-4-4/
Beautiful & Immersive
A more polished design, improved performance, and new features.
Just say “Ok Google”
You don’t need to touch the screen to get things done. When on your home screen* or in Google Now, just say “Ok Google” to launch voice search, send a text, get directions or even play a song.
A work of art
While listening to music on your device, or while projecting movies to Chromecast, you’ll see beautiful full-screen album and movie art when your device is locked. You can play, pause, or seek to a specific moment.
Immerse yourself
The book you're reading, the game you're playing, or the movie you're watching — now all of these take center stage with the new immersive mode, which automatically hides everything except what you really want to see. Just swipe the edge of the screen to bring back your status bar and navigation buttons.
Faster multitasking
Android 4.4 takes system performance to an all-time high by optimizing memory and improving your touchscreen so that it responds faster and more accurately than ever before. This means that you can listen to music while browsing the web, or race down the highway with the latest hit game, all without a hitch.
Smart & Simple
Google smarts improve every corner of the Android experience.
The future is calling
The new phone app automatically prioritizes your contacts based on the people you talk to the most. You can also search for nearby places and businesses, your contacts, or people in your Google Apps domain.
A smarter caller ID
Whenever you get a call from a phone number not in your contacts, your phone will look for matches from businesses with a local listing on Google Maps.
All your messages in the same place
Never miss a message, no matter how your friend sends it. With the new Hangouts app, all of your SMS and MMS messages are together in the same app, alongside your other conversations and video calls. And with the new Hangouts, you can even share your location and send animated GIFs.
Emoji everywhere
Sometimes words can’t express how you feel. For that, there’s Emoji, the colorful Japanese characters, now available on Google Keyboard.
Grab & Go
New features help you get things done while you’re on the move.
Print wherever, whenever
Now you can print photos, documents, and web pages from your phone or tablet. You can print to any printer connected to Google Cloud Print, to HP ePrint printers, and to other printers that have apps in the Google Play Store.
Pick a file, any file
From apps like Quickoffice, you can open and save files on Google Drive, other cloud storage services, or your device. And with quick access to recently used files, it's easier than ever to send the file you were just working on.
Your office, anywhere
Create and edit documents, spreadsheets and presentations from your phone or tablet with the newly redesigned Quickoffice

And considering how quickly they have rolled out a full firmware update and updated the independent moto x apps... I believe it when they say soon.

Well, we already know it will come...still, good to know there is a confirmation

Motorola can have it ready soon, it won't matter much if the carriers drag their feet. The camera fix update was a different story all together. The carriers will push that update fast because people were complaining about the camera, also a large number could return the phone if not given a fix.

I bet we'll get it when they release it....

I would bet heavily against that. At&t sure isn't going to do is any favors. I'm a pessimist, I say December.

:good:
I'd hope before end of year. If HTC is gonna have it on the One in 90 days with their skin I'd hope the gsm Dev / T-Mobile ones get it faster given no skin on moto x to work with.
HTC One gpe is supposed to get it in like 15 days.

No it's not. Look in the development thread for the leak. That's how the leak looks.

you do realise not everyone is selfcentered on here.
because the majority of rom developers come from say the us the settings for them dont always work that well in other countries.
the gps-conf is an example of just one of these things, the gps works by locking onto multiple gps sources.
not everyone on here is a septic ignorant of the outside world
Thanks @shanky887614
Did you happen to take average fix times before and after your update to see just how much of an improvement it made?

if you want some help to do this ill try.
Hi,
it's not exactly clear to me what has to be changed.
Do you recommend to change the NTP_SERVER line? Because your NTP_SERVER lines after "#uk server" are commented out, so it's normally not used.
Regards,
meiser
Hey everyone,
I recently installed Cm12.1 on my z3c and I can't get a gps lock ever. When using the app called gps status, I'm only getting an average of 4/20 satellite locks. Could someone be so kind and extract the /etc/gps.conf from your stock rom for me? The latest the better. Thank you!
i couldnt upload on phone please copy below and save as conf file
