No disrespect to teh author of course, but has anyone noticed a major slowdown of charging in the UNL3ASH3D ROM?

thanks bro
make sure you charge from a wall charger, computer usb and car chargers charge slower.
This phone charges incredibly fast. Nothing to do with the ROM though as the creator stated. All Kernel.

I didnt notice it in 1.1 but in 1.2 my phone did "seem" to charge more slowly. Now on 1.3 it is back to super fast.I know it sounds crazy and impossible but I did notice... something.
I dunno guys, I love this ROM....but seems that the battery is depleting much faster and charging is slow.
I dunno if its mis-reporting the actual charge.
Any suggestions? Is there a way to reset the battery? I know in the bootstrap u can reset battery usage, I tried that last night, but I didn't see any change. I'm usign the extended battery and it seems to be depleting a little too fast....
Thanks in advance
Perhaps reset battery stat after a full charge?

I too have noticed not getting to 100% quickly but I think that has a lot to do with the 1% increments... B4 it probably said 100% when it was actually 96%
Just a thought...
Hey guys,
I tired he recalibration technique yesterday, but seems like it didnt work.
I'm using the extended battery....should I have done this on the smaller battery?
Yea. Battery seems to take a toll on this. Im on extended battery that use to last almost a day on debloated roms. But i like this rom so not gonna worry much. It still last me about an 8 hour shift with heavy/moderate use.
Beats the tbolt where from 6am to 12pm is hitting 40%
Ps. Ive done the battery wipe and the calibration app and discharge and charge and even charged it while its off.

But seriously, I haven't noticed anything w/ slow battery charges...except when using the car charger/dock, but that was already commented about above.
Well, I did teh caibration technique, gettign abut 20% decrease every hour on standard battery...
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.nema.batterycalibration&feature=search_result
Battery calibration app, deletes the battery files in one click. Root required.
Yeah I have that app....tried it.
But still getting 20% decrease every hour.
Before I flashed the rom, i did a nandroid backup of my stock setup. Do you think if i extracted my batterystat.bin from that backup, and put it on this one, I should be good to go? Will this even work?
No problems here.

I'm posting this question because I'm sort of confused, I've had my hero since July and since then have ran every rom to date. Now I'm running AospMod 9.9.2 and have never witnessed such horrible battery life. I know it has nothing to do with this rom because I used to get f*cking awesome battery life almost 2 days without charging. Now I'm lucky if I get 6 hours moderate use... Charged to 93 this morning, still on charger rebooted to install keyboard, loaded back up dropped to 73...
I've done all sorts of calibration nothing works, Can I please get some insight on my problem before I buy a new battery? Thanks in advance!

It might be the ROM. Did you change back to a different one to see how it worked? If it went for almost 2 days a few days prior then drops to a 6 hour usage I highly doubt it's the battery itself. When my G1 battery went it started to lose time very fast at the end but it did it gradually over months before I had to get a new one.

You might have a zombie process or an app with a mem leak something is really eating that battery. Some apps/Widgets are poorly written and can cause battery issues. Typical life of a battery should be about 2 years(if that) before it starts to not hold a charge anymore though. There's a way to check which zombie process or mem leak could be killing your battery it would easily tell you. I wish I could give you the link but I'm on my phone. Flipz tells you how to do this on his site.
UPDATE: I found the link dude.

Problem is that charging by USB is bad because its alot slower than by plug.
I was gaining power but loading it at the same time so in turn it only stayed on 47% all the time.

One rule:
Never charge VIA USB! Its about 1% p/10mins
Always charge by plug! 9-10% p/10mins

How's u guys battery life on CM 7.2? On my Ace, it seems that the battery is discharging much faster than the stock rom.
What would you suggest? I read something about battery life kernels, but not sure what to do.
Thanks,
It seems it may be a false battery charge indication. I saw a couple other threads about this. i tried a calibration app, but it didnt work. I even charged to 100% and reset in clockwork. As soon as i unplug, it went down to 92%, then 10 min later, 80%. This is just on standby!
Any ideas?
Battery calibration is a myth! The battery_stats.bin file only has info for the battery use screen.
Not sure about it now, but cm7.2 used to have battery drain problems.
What rom are you you using?

Battery calibration is not a myth, the myth is saying that helps you battery life, what it really does is give you a more accurate reading of the battery charge. Your battery will have the same life.
Your battery life on any CM will drain faster than on a stock rom, maybe a bit better, but not much of a difference.
You need to charge your phone to 100 %, check in settings, about phone, state (i have my rom in spanish, so i don't know if it will say "state" it's just a guess) and the first option you will see says "Battery State" and it should say "Charged" or something that tells you that it's done charging.
I mean, when u charge your phone, although u can see that your battery is full, you should wait until in the lockscreen says "charged" instead of "charging" or something like that.
Hope it helps!
I am in the process of calibrating right now. I charged to 100% and now im draining completelto 0%. Then recharging back to 100% with no breaks. I got these instructions from another thread. Ive got every radio on (gps wifi bluetooth) and the torch. Been that way for over 2 hours and it says 16% right now. Ill let u all know what happens. Thanks again!
Oh im on the last cooper version that says stable. I had trouble with thr touchscreen not working right on nightly for some reason. Any known issues with this one?
Cyanogenmod have battery problems, especially if you are using an unofficial version. If this is your case, you can try use firekernel, otherwise use the official one, some say it have the best battery life.

Be careful, force the phone to discharge fast can decrease the battery life. I think the best to do is use it normally during the day till the battery finish and look if is there some application using lots of cpu or if the deep sleep is working right.
Watch for the torch app, the app itself says that u should keep it on 20 min maximum i think.
I didnt tried nightly, sorry!
I did try stable and everything worked perfect i think so it should be fine

Should i just backup with clockwork or use titanium? I have alot of time invested in cm 7.2 stable. I hate to lose it.
Also can i just copy the backup folder to my pc without damaging it?

I have not rooted my ace yet and had been reading tons of documents on the pros and cons of rooting and most of them if not all of them were saying that CM aids longer batter life. Here you seem to contradict that claim.
Can you please explain?

CyanogenMod basically means = fast (besides nice looking haha) and it also has different options to save battery (i don't remember an example of one of them), but being fast costs you battery life. For example, Apocalypse Final version with blackhawk kernel with antutu benchmark gave me a 2200 score (without oc), with firekernel (the one that brings the rom) it gave me a a number much lower (i think it was 1900). But using sgs2 v9, the one im using right now, it gives me a 1900 score and i can say it is fast enough and battery lasts longer that using any cm version.
i know bechmarks are not exactly, it's just to explain my point of view.
With cm u can have good battery life too but in a stock based rom battery will always (or 80 % of the cases) be better.

Yes, it's usually what most people do, leave the original copy of the nandroid backup on your sd and make a copy of it and save it in your pc. Then if everything went well after flashing the rom you can just erase the copy of your pc
i just did a backup with both. the CW backup is much larger. Is this because it backed up the whole rom? Like a clone of the phone?

Dear People of XDA,
I have this issue since a few days and I don't know how to solve it. My battery drains out after 10 min while using wifi and the phone will shut down of course. Leaving it for about an hours time, some power will be regained and I can continue using my device. It all started when I reverted back to stock ICS from cm 10.1. I thought flashing Carburano's ROM might help but apparently not, same problem. I know batterys don't always go nuts but when they do, it's progressive. Any one know what might be wrong?
Regards....

Use the better battery stats app and check which app running in the background is draining your battery without allowing the device going into sleep....
but if the drain is like what you have described....then it is time to move on to another battery....
just a word.....Kernel is something (other things being Baseband) which takes care of the battery performance....so maybe you can try changing this and check which one suits you well.
CHECK IN THE FORUM TO FIND INFO ABOUT APPS LIKE GREENIFY...
Hope this helps you

Thinking it like this: the phone probably can drain a fully charged battery in 10 minutes if you turn on every major component, like vibration, flash, display to 100%, gps, wifi, 3G and what else... But having just wifi on and getting a phone shutdown in 10 min seems excessive. This would suggest your battery is not charging properly. This can result from end-of-lifetime battery only charging to some 10-25% of original capacity, broken charger, battery self-discharge and probably some other reasons I could not think of right now.
The best solution, most likely, is to replace your battery (like SREEPRAJAY above already suggested), but if you like to troubleshoot you could try to charge your phone via USB to reduce the charging current (Li-ion batteries show a lower voltage during charging with lower charge current until 100% is reached). This way you may be able to charge to higher capacity. Also, it may hint that some kernel might work better for you, but I'm not sure about this, since I don't remember what part of Android (SW, charger HW or what) handles the charging logic, i.e. what triggers the charging actually to stop.
Thanks...I'll try the suggestions

This has been discussed to death, please search.
Basically, you need to charge for maybe another half an hour after it reaches 100% charged.

I know it will drain but not like that i had it for 6 months now, and the system is taking to much of the battery, other phones OS doesn't take that much.
see the screenshot.
Everyone has a screenshot that looks like yours. It's normal. Just because it's high doesn't mean it's draining too fast. I don't even bother looking at mine. Much better readings from other apps on what causes battery drain. Looking at your screenshot isn't one of them, as you can already notice.
