I am in the military and an app that tracks my workouts/runs is crucial for me. About 6 months ago I came across CardioTrainer which is a free workout app that tracks all types of workouts, and they are constantly adding more. it also links to a Bluetooth heart rate monitor I wear and tracks that as well. It was such an amazing app that I paid the 10 bucks for the real thing that also gave you access to all their expansions out now and everything they come out with from now on. This app is one of the major reasons I stayed with Android when I had a chance to switch, (but only one), since cardotrainer isnt on any other platform. All in all I tell everyone I know about this app and now almost everyone in my company who has an Android phone is using it.
Some abilities-
Bluetooth heart rate sync, gps tracking of distance, altitude, speed both average and current using google maps, calories burned, workout reminders, accumulative workout progression, racing yourself ability, facebook sync (if your into showing how BA you are), linking with people you know in competitions, music sync, also they just added a weightloss thing. over 35 different types of pre programmed types of workouts (running, hiking, tennis, soccer, yoga, weightlifting, ect) and this is just the free part of the app. I probably sound like a promoter but Im not, I just love this app.

Jefit is my go-to app for weightlifting. Has excellent log-tracking, as well as routine building and information. It's pretty simplistic for runners though.
Yea I use jeffit pro for weightlifting and mytracks for running but that's cause I don't run on a treadmill.

Not meaning to be rude, but this is the wrong place for a question like this. You sound like you're really new to the whole "smartphone" thing, so i'd suggest, save yourself some headaches, go to your carrier's store, and let them pick out an android phone or an iPhone for you.
Yeah, there's pretty much nothing good about a blackberry beyond battery life...

You can test drive them in a shop and find it out on your own
they haven't changed significantly for about 5 years!

The 480x800 doesn't work. I just asked the OP of the post to make one for the Revo. We will see what happens with it. I like it a lot. Hoping that one will be made.
Unfortunately the Revo has 2 things going against it.
1) The images are stored in the boot.img, and there is limited space in there as there is not much space partitioned for the boot.img (only about 8.5mb)
2) They use rle image files which are larger than standard image files.
With that being said, the download size for that is 7mbs, converting them to rle will make it over 8mbs, add the rest of the ramdisk files, and 3.5mbs for the kernel and we far exceed the size allotted for the boot.img

As for this particular bootscreen, perhaps it could be compressed more than it is? It may be a bit bloated if most devices don't have the same restrictions as the Revo... But I'll admit I'm talking out my ass on this.

The bad part about the way our boot animations work is it is limited in size and so we can only put in what will fit. It also does not repeat itself, so once it runs out of images it stops on the last until it loads.

My understanding is that the drivers have to be rewritten from scratch when moving to ICS. If that's really the case, it would be a long, hard road to move to ICS, and could only be done by a really seasoned developer. With that said, I only know one person who *might* be able to work at that low of a level, and we haven't seen him in quite a while around here.
So here's something you can count on:
The Nook Color will see ICS long before this device (crazy, I know). If this device does not get ICS distributed by LG, then don't count on it, but there's always some sliver of hope

WOW! I'm gonna have to switch back to my Eris when it's stable, just to check it out. If we could only get those guys over to the Revo to help out MT. I certainly love and appreciate the Revo community but the Eris was my first Android, and you never forget your FIRST.

Yeah, should tempt them with a "free device." We got Cubed over here with that, and I'm sure everyone would pitch in to bring someone that can port. I've seen what the source is like, and I certainly haven't been all that enamored with it. Takes a heck of a lot of time and dedication to the cause.
I love MTs stuff, and he's the savior of this device, but of course, ICS and curiosity and all that. You know what curiosity did to the cat, though....

An American saying... Anyhow, what it equates to, is development often has it's rough patches along the way with ports. Usually it's wrought with bricked devices and the likes. Luckily I have never experienced that, because Cubed was extra careful when we were working on the CWR port to the Revo...

'Bout that, I have Kangwich (the alt version) but I don't seem to have these transitions...
Maybe my ADW EX settings are overriding them, but the only pertinent setting seems to be [ADW Settings > General Behavior > System Preferences > Opening Transition] which I have set to Default (android managed)...plus this wouldn't affect internal app transitions (e.g. pressing back within Settings to go to the previous menu), which is still the lame "rightwards slide" transition.
Any ideas? I'm gonna try a reflash here in a bit, but my gut tells me that ain't gonna work. (I know, I know...I should've reflashed before *****ing but I had already wrote the above paragraph when I thought about that so I was committed. )

Ive been working on rebuilding the theme from the ground up. Got to a point where I couldn't compile without errors, so I started over. Will be adding the animations back in tomorrow, so I'll take a look at it. Maybe I missed something the first go around.

Hey everyone!
So I started my own website (a free one of course) and just wanted to let everyone know about it here. I'll still post all my themes here, but all links will be posted on the site. I've added some custom stuff to the site but it's still under construction. If you go check it out, please comment here and let me know your ideas and stuff like that. Some of the features of the website:
Little introduction on the home page
Sidebar with Revo and Esteem themes listed with their current version (needs changed)
Recent photo uploads
Ability to subscribe to the site
Photo gallery separated by theme
News section containing when a theme was updated (there will also be actual news included in this section as well)
Downloads section, separated by device for all my themes
Contact section where you can drop me an email if you have something on your mind.
One main feature I'm going to add very soon will be a changelog section that will be separated by device.
Since there will never be a shortage of themes to be made, I'm actually starting to think about making this into an actual small company. So if some of the other themers would like to talk about it, send me an email or PM or something so we can talk it out. Regardless of me getting a new phone in a couple weeks, I will still own this Revo and will continue to make new themes for it until no one else has it lol.
By the way, very soon there will be an official Revo-Themes twitter, facebook and Google+ accounts.

Nice phone little less heavier than the Revo, bigger battery but the standby time for the Nexus is 150 hours and the Revo's is 335 hours but the Usage time is 720 mins for the Nexus and 435 mins for the Revo not sure how that worked out. But it's gonna be bad when you run out of memory (that is if you do) on the Nexus since of it only having 32gb of Internal and no Sd card

I'm a neat freak and constantly delete stuff off my phone so I'm not worried about that. I never have very many apps on my phones either. Bottom line though, you can't go wrong with a Nexus device.
