After searching the forum I cannot find the answer, so I am hoping someone has run into this issue as well.
Everytime I flash a ROM I restore my apps and app data from Titanium (no system data), which works fine every time. However, one of those times I decided to run the Market Doctor and "fix" the market links. What I forgot about before I did that is not all of my apps come from the Android market, some come from the Amazon market. So the apps from the Amazon market are now associated with the android market and show up as needing to be updated, which fails of course because some are paid apps on Android so the download/install is declined. I have tried uninstalling from Android and reinstalling from amazon, then restoring data only from Titanium, but the Android market still hangs on to them. Is there anyway to "unfix" what Titanium did via the Market Doctor? This also applies even after wiping and installing a new ROM because it is now associated with the Android market on their end, not only on my device of course. A wipe data of the android market doesn't work either.
Any thoughts? Thanks everyone!

Had the same problem but i use app manager now and it gives me the option to unlink the app from amazon but the funny thing is it still shows up randomly. So i gave up on it.

1) Open Titanium Backup
2) Go to the "Backup/Restore" tab
3) Find the App which is now wrongly associated with the Android Market
4) Long press on that App in the App list
5) Click "Detach from Market"
I don't know of any way to do this in bulk, but this is what's worked for me

I own a nexus one, and after upgrading to gingerbread, some applications which are installed such as dolphin browser and soundhound are installed but are not listed as installed on the market and thus I don't get update notifications for them.
I tried to clear data on the market app to re sync the installed apps but it had been disabled on gingerbread
Can anyone shed some light please?
Thanks in advance,

Do they at least appear on the market?
Yes, I even re-installed the apps, still not showing in my apps though.

same issue here with me, but i'm on CM7 -rc1

You might be able to use Titanium Backup's "Market Doctor" function to re-establish the application links to the Market, though I believe that requires root.
Give it some times, they'll probably come back on it's own.
If not use Market Doctor like suggested, that might or might not solve it.
It has happened to me here and there and usually fix itself.
Another thing you can try is download an app, any app (something free that can be delete afterward) and see if that bring the missing apps back.
In continuation to the minor problems with my new IS, the first being Bluetooth transfers restarting the phone, (here-http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1071021);
another issue am having is with respect to apps in the my apps section of market which allows updated.
Since this is a new phone, i had some apps transferred from other handsets and installed, rather than downloading them all over again.
None of the apps are showing in market to update, not a single one!
i have read about this in other posts, where clearing the cache seems to solve the problem, but it does not help in my case.
any idea why this could be happening & any possible solutions?
The only solution i think is a firmware update...
Depending on the apps, they may not be compatible with 2.2, what are they?

Regular apps like astro, angry birds, barcode scanner.
just a few off the top of my head.
the apps do work, and if there is an update available, the app prompts for the same when opened.
however, in the last tab of market, which displays all the installed apps & those which have an update, not even a single app is shown except google maps...
Are you rooted?

could you be so kind to dump your build.prop?
it sounds it got fked on some way...
@dfd9999
Nope, no root, no changes what so ever.
Stock IS
@Hawkysoft
errr... could you kindly explain how i should do that?
Titanium Back up can fix market links… but I believe you have to be rooted for it to work but I may be wrong, its worth a shot!

just uninstall the last app you got from the market.
if the method from lgm_dev is not working:
try to clear data/cache from the market. Settings->apps->manage->(tab all)-> market and clear the data there
Index should be rebuilded when it is started again.
IncS is my first Android phone and i have just got Root access. But after i flashed a new Rom and log on to Android Market with my Google account, there is only the apps i have paied for, and not all the free apps i have downloaded befor the flash.
Is it realy only the paied apps it rembers?
I tried searching because I thought I'd seen the answer to my problem before but I came up empty so I apologize if this has been asked and I missed it.
I did a data wipe on my phone today to see if it'd clear up some issues I was having. After the wipe non of my apps from the play store are showing up, regardless of free or purchased, the only thing that comes up is the preloaded apps.
What's the trick to get the play store to refresh and load my apps?
I tried to restore the backup I made before the wipe but it fails to reload.
Wiping data will remove your downloaded apps. Open the Play Market, hit menu, "my apps" and you'll see a list of everything you currently have downloaded/installed. Swipe over and you'll find the list of everything you've purchased and downloaded recently (free or not).

Thanks, I didn't realize it did that.
I thought there was a way to get it to reload most of the apps automatically but this will have to do.
I appreciate the help.
I have the kindle fire hd 7 inch non rooted. Skype works perfectly while kindle is on. After maybe ten mins of having the screen off, when I receive a call it rings but when I unlock the device a little box in the middle says "skype force closed", or something like that, and you can either choose "wait" or "ok". Anyone else experiencing this? I was thinking of using the phone version instead of the kindle version to see if it is better.

try this
Try using the program "Skype Boot." You don't need to have the Play Store installed; use go to the 1Mobile website, download the installation APK, install, open, and search for the Skype Boot program--enables opening Skype at boot up. I'm not sure it will help you, and you'll have to reboot to try it. I'd uninstall your version of Skype, and select to download the one fresh from the Amazon App store labeled for Kindle Fire. When you uninstall, select to uninstall from the app settings menu--completely wipe the program. Force close, wipe data, then wipe cash, then uninstall. That's just what I'd do. Then re-install the app, selecting it from the app store.
Sign in to it. I have a microsoft account I sign in with. probably doesn't matter. after that, go and open the Skype boot app from 1Mobile ('cause you didn't have any issues installing that, right? SHOULDN'T). Select to load Skype at bootup. Navigate out of that app, and reboot, see if that helps.
I've things a bit different in my setup; I'm rooted, and I used titanium backup to convert Skype to a system app. It hasn't force closed since yesterday when I rebooted. Also, if I go to my settings menu and look at installed applications and select to view running applications, Skype is not listed as running, but it definitely is (showing Online status in the notifications pull-down).
Just FYI, there's no harm in rooting, it won't break anything--but installing the Play Store is a bit complicated. Most people, myself included are not remotely interested in installing a recovery or flashing a ROM; it's risky, and any ROM you might flash at this point will seriously decrease the KFHD functionality. At this point this thing Flies, especially in comparison to the original KF. Flash a ROM and you likely won't even be able to play video (hehe, you might brick it too, if you're lucky!). Don't hold your breath on getting a ROM that actually improves Amazon stock function. That kinda broke even with the original KF, and with HD I don't think the incentive is really there to move and shake, dev-wise.

Fyi, the only rom available for the kindle fire hd 7" (other then the original) is Kinology. And it is above and beyond better then the stock P.O.S. rom.

Ok guys, I hope this helps some if not all of you. This is a list , or pictures, of apps that i usually delete or freeze depending on the app. Applications that may be used in the future like "AT&T Software Update" might be wise to just freeze. Applications like "Beats", unless you use them, I would delete them. If you are unsure of what applications to delete or freeze, it is safer to just freeze the application, as this leaves the application installed on your phone but it is no longer running in the background. When looking at the pictures, the pictures with items with a line accross, this are apps I uninstalled, the other ones are frozen. that are Many applications in the Google Playstore allow you to freeze or delete system apps, but I find Titanium Backup Pro to be more direct and easier to use.
DISCLAIMER: I take no responsibility if you brake your phone, or find your balls after debloating the $#it out of your Galaxy S5.
List:
Safe to Freeze:
AT&T Hot Spots
AT&T Software Update
BlurbCheckout
Chrome

Have you tried freezing S-Voice? That app is single handedly keeping me from buying an S5. I hate S-Voice with a passion and every time I get a Samsung phone, I put so much time and effort into disabling it, but it never goes completely away.

You didn't have to wait for root to disable S-Voice, was possible right out of the box to disable it.
this is weird, I just rooted my s5 using towelroot and installed chainfire's SU then installed TiBu pro with no problem but when I tried deleting some at&t bloatware like at&t navigator.. it keeps giving this "cannot delete system app, unable to locate apk file"..anyone encountered this?
Is there another app that can freeze the AT&T OTA? I have app freeze and app quarantine and it doesn't give me the option to freeze it.
I don't have TiBu pro yet, maybe I'll buy it next month. Are there any temporary solutions to stop with the OTA?

Force stopping the service and renaming the APK in the /system folder should work (e.g. 'softwareupdater.apk.dontrun'). I don't know what the file name of the updater is though, so you will have to do some research.
freeze/delete
i have deleted all apps on the delete list and my phone is booting faster, and i have no issues and i have turned off some of the apps too since i dont have the paid version of titanium backup. all is fine.
Im pretty sure deleting system apps ruins your chance of getting an OTA update in the future, should you choose to want one eventually. I wouldnt delete any system apps. Freezing is fine.

this is my first android smartphone and only my second smartphone (first being iphone 3gs). I was wondering if someone knew what the apk name and location was so that I could at least for the moment rename the updater services so I don't have to worry about getting an update. I know most people talk about titanium backup and some other paid apps but currently I don't have the money to go that route.
I am still learning this and I tried to search to see if someone had any good alternatives to TiBu but I didn't find any results. I saw some things on the Verizon section but none of those files they mentioned were on the AT&T phones (and I was hesitant to assume they would share the same updater service).

This can be disabled using the normal Android app manager. TiBu can't find the apk because the app isn't technically installed on your phone, yet. If you tried launching the app, it takes you to the google play store to download and install.

No, because you can just factory reset and have it back.
be careful please do not tick ultra power saving mode after rooting and removing some apps, it has not been tracked to exactly what is causing it but it is happening to a few of us.
I removed the standard AT&T ****, isis wallet, the google crap i dont use and a few others with titanium, tested it out for a few hours worked great, had apex installed as the default launcher,
CLICKED ultra power saving mode to test it.. POW on reboot phone loads to only a black and white AT&T logo and it is dead there..
Even if you go into recovery mode and factory reset, the phone will now boot, but after unlock its dead no background and just a black screen the pull down up top works and to get into settings and the lock screen works and that is it....
going to download the 900A zip and try a total reset via odin... I'll keep you updated..
