[Q] Black Screen .. After Rooting

Hey Every One
I Like This Site Too Much ....
But Im Fall down in Problem : I Was Use This Version ..
[ROM][GSM][ARABIC] Official Samsung Gingerbread 2.3.3 - P1000JPJP9 [Galaxy TAB]
I Don't Got Any Problem it Was Great Version ... But
I Tried To Install This Version .. :
[7.July.2011][ROM][GSM][2.3.3] ◄► Overcome ROM v3.0.0-ICARUS ◄► Kernel v3.2.0 ◄►
I Got 2 Problems ..
1- English letters Give Me Null ..
2- No Arabic Lang Inside ..
Now Im Trying to go back To [ROM][GSM][ARABIC] Official Samsung Gingerbread 2.3.3 - P1000JPJP9 [Galaxy TAB] ... After flash it it's get me Black Screen After Recovery Boot ...
My Tablet don' accept Any Kind Of Versions Too ...
All Versions Give me black Screen & Stoped There ..
What i can do please .. ?
Can Some one give me link for " stock Rom // Foryno 2.2 Arabic " .. \

to get the arabic language just flash arabic firmware from the site i gave u

you need to flash gingerbread to unlock your bootbloader then its easy to do so just flash it via odin like what you did now , and after you flash gingerbread stock safe from overcome , you can then put the rom in your sdcard (memory) and flash it via CWM
you must be over GINGERBREAD to do all of that so this is almost the things you need to do , but for more guides and to make sure you are 100% so see their thread in the dev section

hey dude , please not that you need to flash 1st stock gingerbread and then overcome stock safe , this is the easist way for yo to do , i'm not responsible about anything you gonna do later

I follow this guild yesterday but i failed ..

flash the stock safe 1st during you downloading the IRACUS nowipe or wipe it doens't matter because stock safe will wipe everything for you
after you flash it , wait you'll hear women robot voice telling you about the procces , after its done it will reboot your tab , after your tab boot , put the rom you downloaded (nowipe or wipe) in your sdcard , reboot away to cwm (recovery mode) and install the rom from there and here you go up and running
you should buy me roz bilabn from saber or mashawi from hosni after i come to egypt in ramadan for this

- Grab the “001002-Overcome_v3.0.0_ICARUS_NoWipe.zip” file from these link:
- Copy the update zip file at the root of your internal SD. Then fire up the CWM recovery, and choose the “install zip from sdcard” and look for the 001002-Overcome_v3.0.0_ICARUS_NoWipe file. Then update away.
- After it is done installing, it’s considered a best practice to wipe the Cache and the Dalvik Cache. (The new installer takes care of that now…) Then reboot.
- Do be prepared for a long first boot after that, as the system would need some time rebuilding the cache and the dalvik cache. It’ll return to the normal, speedy boot times after that… and there’s no need to flash the kernel, as the updater and the full ROM would always contain the latest kernel…

Hi , greeting everyone !
I am pleased to present my new Custom Rom - [email protected]_V01 ( Beta) - based on Archos ICS Firmware 4.0.5(4.0.3)...
This release is permanently Rooted, it's Deodexed...and also Busybox is already installed !
Included : 25/03/12
- new boot animation;
- battery percentage, and other new Icon;
- several applications in addition ( Office Free, Root-Browser free, Terminal , Chrome_Beta, FaceLock and ....++);
- enabled init.d for run scripts ;
- windows animations;
- increase sdcard speed;
- zipaling for all apk in /data/app/*;
In the near future :
- preinstalling V6_Supercharger;
- enabled FaceLock ;
- other stuff to improve performance ;
- update ....
How to install :
Since version 4.0.5 - now we have an alternative to transfer ( file -> archos.ext4, archos.ext4.update, archos.squashfs ) into device.
Once I entered into SDE , to transfer file archos.ext4.update in Internal Storage ...now we need to choose : Export Data Partition <=> /data ....and for 8G & 16G -> just we need to copy this file into /media directory ! ( Precaution : - choose Export Data Partition only when you are connected to a desktop/laptop running Ubuntu ! - otherwise Windows will ask for formatting the partition ....and if you choose YES, than you'll lose all into device, equivalent with ReFormat Device ! )
After this step ....we need choose into SDE -> Flash Kernel and Initramfs - to copy here zImage and initramfs !
But we can flash this Custom Rom as usual if you have windows PC ( copy archos.ext4.update into Internal Storage or /data/media/ or /mnt/storage/) - than into SDE -> choose Flash Kernel and Initramfs -> here you need to copy zImage and initramfs !

After installation requires a reboot ( to enable all the stuff !!! ).
Unfortunately this project remains currently in the beta ! I have a lot of work to it...but I hope to come back with an update a little more gratifying !!!
On the other hand I think is pretty good move, and you can use it without FC or any error ! I tested almost all functions and respond well to all ( of course not yet Games and other .+++) .

How to check if init.d works on every boot and if all apk into /data/app/* were zipaligned with function zipalign ?
To have self control I added a text file into /data/app/ => named "zip_align.txt" ...you can open it with Root-Browser and take a look into it .....you'll see began operation time , state applications directory /data/app/ and End date of operation !

oh I got a while to wait...i have to find my proof of purchase so I can ship it to archos for repair!

la sortie hdmi ne fonctionne pas sur ma télé en android 4 (contrairement au 3), mais merci pour tes rom! vivement qu'Archos corrige le soucis que je puisse utiliser ta rom !

This is my first ROM - compiled on AOKP source !
... after several settings and adjustments ( for few days ) - now I managed to successfully boot the first porting rom based only on AOKP - ICS 4.0.4 source !
...for now ...please don't ask me now what work and what not ! ....I'll release for you ( for testing ) my first build in few days ! , I will also make available a GitHub for download device tree for your device ! - that's not soon because I plan to go on vacation , so I'll do starting in September !!!
...I will begin the real work also in September for porting successfully AOKP source ! ( for customizate, overclock kernel and so on ! ) .

> adb push archos.ext4 /mnt/storage ( need to wait about ~150 seconds ) !
> at the same time do : adb reboot & press and keep volume down ; in SDE -> DEM-> Remove Android Kernel ( if exist ) -> Flash Kernel & Initramfs -> copy here zImage & initramfs.cpio.gz -> OK -> wait to reboot !
( this instructions should be work well for both devices : flash & hdd !!! )
If you are in boot loop - just reset the device - will be ok after reset !

I have updated my GitHub with AOKP tree for Archos Gen9 !
- I made ​​an automatic build, so only you need : connect USB cable on PC and run my script !!!! if your environment ( linux machine ! ) is set properly...you'll get your system AOKP build in about 1 hour ! ( depends on your system configuration ! )
For use my GitHub you need to have installed on your device Deodexed Rom ! , also you need to have FileManager.apk in system/app/ !!!
GitHub - aokp tree for archos gen9 ! => GitHub !
- for build all your source AOKP - for your device , you need to do just 3 steps :
- 1° > chmod a+x archos.sh
- 2° > . archos.sh
- 3° > in the last step you need to choose : your device corresponding number from the list that appears below and press Enter ! ( eg. 38. aokp_archos_gen9-userdebug ) , so input 38 & Enter !
Your build will be ready : in about 1 hour - but is highly dependent on machine performance !!!

the 3g works?

...building AOKP from source , app Settings.apk have some issue ! ( when select Settings->Storage ->"Unfortunately , Settings has stopped." ).
I'm trying also to decompile Settings.apk but I get some issue ...
All apps and also framework-res.apk - cant be decompiled without issue ...so, seem to be some build error in seetings !
...that's why did not found if sdcard work or not ! ...also some settings in Settings menu are not enable !
Now try to redownload the source , recompile and I'll upload soon the archos.ext4 - even if I fail to solve Settings issue !
( Not work - sdcard, 3G , hdmi ? - not cheched yet & some custom AOKP settings in Settings menu , also occurs rarely this error : android.process.media has stopped! )

How to install the rom ?
1.Download the ROM
2.Extract the RAR files(if you don't have PC , download and use AndroZip from Play Store)
3.There are 2 files are names RXSEE V1.6 and ((part 2))by gamzekal.zip
4.Copy 2 files from your PC using USB cable and put it on sdcard (don't put any folder)
5.Disconnect your USB from your phone
6.Switch off your phone
7.Go to recovery (ClockWorkMod not Samsung Recovery) by pressing Vol Up , Home Button , Power On . Press for 5 second
8.Go to Backup and restore on menu
9.Go to restore , search "RXSEE V1.6"
10.After restore , go to install from sd card and choose from sd card . Search "((part 2))by gamzekal.zip
11.Lastly , after install , Reboot system now !
12.Enjoy your new ROM.

Bro , this year i'm use simplicity v4 rom . On December 2012 , i on RepeXpersiS ROM , It so smooth man ! Try it !

Hello!This my first post on Android Development,that before General.This thread i want to share the rom for S5830i.Let check out !
RepeXpersis v1.6 Extended Edition :

How to install the rom ?
1.Download the ROM
2.Extract the RAR files(if you don't have PC , download and use AndroZip from Play Store)
3.There are 2 files are names RXSEE V1.6 and ((part 2))by gamzekal.zip
4.Copy 2 files from your PC using USB cable and put it on sdcard (don't put any folder)
5.Disconnect your USB from your phone
6.Switch off your phone
7.Go to recovery (ClockWorkMod not Samsung Recovery) by pressing Vol Up , Home Button , Power On . Press for 5 second
8.Go to Backup and restore on menu
9.Go to restore , search "RXSEE V1.6"
10.After restore , go to install from sd card and choose from sd card . Search "((part 2))by gamzekal.zip
11.Lastly , after install , Reboot system now !
12.Enjoy your new ROM.

this launcher is same with that launcher.........
to get that 2 round corners.............
1. goto prefrences > homescreen settings
2. desktop configurations......
3. choose dockbar + 2 corners........

Actually, this a great way to say that there's a brand new 2.3.6 firmware for NFC variant here:

It has a brand new changelog, and it's called XXMD2.
It's for Italy (wind), but has lots of languages including Polish.
It's build date is 23.04.2013, so Samsung evidently is not going to release Jelly Bean for mini 2 anytime soon.

Well, this thread can be used as a place for discussion.. Don't blame OP. I thought the update is released when I first read the title.

I think the JB fw comes out in September or not! When it come out

i think samsung will cancel the update. because they dont know what they are doing and they are busy with their high end phones like s4 and other s4 kinda phones. they have spies in xda just waiting for thewhisp to release camera fix.

@rhisendark: No offense but I don't think Samsung needs drivers or hacks from TheWhisp for their own hardware. They made the hardware and written drivers for that hardware from the ground up. This process of porting has been so difficult because they are holding so much of their own proprietary code. You see this with a lot more devices, some low end and even the high end ones.

No, they didn't make the hardware, it's made mostly by Qualcomm. Qualcomm has released all the necessary open source stuff needed to build JB, Samsung only needs to do their part so we can get the updated proprietary blobs.

Samsung has a lot of developers these days.. it is the most powerful company for now and I think there must be someone interested to make the JB for mini2.. there must be someone ! But the bad part is that we must wait until they will do it..

samsung is fully focused to its high end phones.paying less attention to other phones.

Agreed. In a ideal world all hardware would be supported by opensource code. Aosp would run without much modification, bootloaders would be open like running any other linux distro. I'm starting to lose hope in Samsung that they provide us with proper drivers, os support. Mind you that even though S2 (pretty wide userbase and flagship phone a few years ago) has had decent custom rom support.. It still had lots of bugs in those Aosp custom roms. I think that Samsung is infamous for dropping support for phones they produced even after a few months. Probably due to how many phones they make/release.

That's the main problem in my opinion, but sadly we can't do anything to it.
