Can't find certain apps on Market

Hey guys, i have a little problem with my market. I'm searching for some applications on market, but i just can't find them.
First one is Gameboid(GBA emulator). I was only able to find the lite version, but since i like it alot, i want to buy the full version. Problem is, i can't find the full version anywhere. Even if i'm redirected from the Lite version so i would buy it, it gives and error that the app wasn't found on Android Market. It's just wierd, cause i can find it here: http://www.cyrket.com/package/com.androidemu.gba and here: http://www.androlib.com/android.application.com-androidemu-gba-jtqn.aspx .
Other app is the aBTC Bittorrent client. I can't find that either. Are apps region locked or something?

what rom are you currently running?

None. I'm still on cupcake 1.5, since i'm having trouble with root(i'm getting Not Allowed error)

i think i remember seeing that gameboid was pulled off the market a while back.

Just checked the market and as a matter of fact, i can't see even one app that costs money. Only free ones. What's going on? I got CRC37. Bugger

Phone was bought in Austria(T-Mobile), but i'm using it in Slovenia(i unlocked it).

That's your problem, paid apps aren't available outside US/UK(/DE maybe?). Better luck next time.

Install Market Enabler. You'll need a "rooted" build (refer to the stickies in the dev forum for more info)

Just did a search, it is still up there. Full version for 3.99USD.
As said before, the market is region locked (it determines this based on your SIM card, IIRC). Paid apps aren't available in all regions.

I live in the US with a US phone and I can't find any paid apps at all either. They were there the other day, gone now.

Was running CM 4.0.1. Paid apps returned sometime last night/early this morning. I checked about 2am or so and they were all back. Hadn't done anything at all, and they showed up on their own. Guess the market had a glitch?

you should root with cyanogen one click. check page cyanogenmod.com.
install market enabler and yo will be fine.

Don't be sad my friend, cheer up. Its now in the Android Market and it is extremely fun! Everyone should go and download it right this moment if you haven't downloaded the new and improved version. Only problem is that it has ads, but the game is wonderful and its free so why complain right?

I decided I wanted to go back to sense and loaded CR's rom and tried to the install for angry birds again and it loaded this time. maybe it was cm6 that was the issue? anyways, thx for the link

it's a possibility, other types of phones running CM6 have had issues finding it in the market or getting it to install. It worked perfect for me this morning when I got my e-mail from Rovio, however both my wife and I still don't have it show up in the market and we are both running CM6 based ROMs.
edit : just a side note, maybe it's just my phone but running the Dopio v3.5 844MHz OC kernel I had to "dumb down" processor to 600 MHz or keep my play time to under 30 min any longer than that would cause the battery to get hot enough to lock up the phone where I had to pull battery and reboot

Hell yeah!!! Even with 3 overheat and reboots I've still managed to get up to 1-3 lvl 19

Runs slow on my Slide OC 862Mhz and CR OTA ROM. =/ Some levels are flawless... others are like molasses where if I press the screen while a bird is in mid-air, their ability won't get activated.

Y'all should try running it on a 2.2 or 2.2.1 ROM mine is runningsmooth as ilk, even when "detuned" back to 600MHz

easier way is to put the .apk on your sd card and install with Astro or another file manager that has an app manager built in

that requires too much work imo, just my preference.

Or you guys can just go to the browser to install it from there.
Either way it's on the app store for free. Even less work. ;p

does show in everyone's market... doesn't show in mine or my wife's

on mine also it doesnt show in the market and if i use astro after downlaoded it just say incomplete...help

if you're trying to download using phone, download to computer and either do the adb push or put on sd card and then install with astro. our phones don't like mediafire for some reason... it gives me incomplete even on a very small files (less than 500kb)

Dungeon Hunter free from Gameloft

Wanted to make sure everyone knew about this. Link can be found via their twitter acct. Sadly at&t doesn't want us to have it. I'm sure there might be an easier way, but I will probably flash a quick galaxy s rom and see if it will let me pick it up that way. Anyone else interested in getting this? Or if you know an easier way of getting it please let me know.

I can't get the game either, on an AT&T Captivate in Canada.

Yeah I have been trying different phones etc this morning to get it. I put my phone as the Droid on their page and put in my phone number. It sent me the download link but when I clicked it, It said no downloads are available for your phone. I am trying to find a way around this ... grrrrrr.

If you try to download it from the WAPStore with a Captivate Rom it will say its not available for your device..
Right above that message is the option to change your device.. lol
Amazingly simple work around. Just change your device to a Vibrant and bada bing. You got game.
EDIT: 181mb file must be downloaded after you download the initial 4.something or ruther mb apk

Same here. Lotta people also saying what's floating around out there won't work on our Galaxy S phones.

it works fine one cyanogen, i dont know if i can post the apk?? i dont think i can do that legally since its not gonna be free for long..

Seconded this. When you reach the screen saying there are no downloads for your phone tap on the bar that says "Captivate" and navigate to Vibrant. Donezo.

Worked!!! Perfect. Now to see if this thing will actually run on this phone ... should cause its a fellow galaxy s but ya never know....

Interesting ... It doesnt seem to recognize internal storage. It says 182 MB free space required on external SD and the screen only has 2 buttons ... retry or cancel. I have abour 6 gb free so hmmm ... maybe it's time to pony up for that expansion space.

Please, I know I am not reading this. Gameloft actually has done it right because they KNOW ATT app locks their phones so that is why they don't allow it. Imagine if they allowed you to spend the $5 to buy the game, only to find out you couldn't install it, you would be even more mad.
Needless to say there IS a fix as I installed it on my phone right now. You do NOT have to have a special rom to do it either, this is all you need
Requirements:
Phone rooted (got to market and get "One click Lag Fix" does it easliy)
App unlocked or sideload capable
If you have done that go to this post and read this thread. I am also attaching the apk for this, just in case if no one wants to bother with the stuff below

What you want to do is change the build.prop. PLEASE MAKE COPIES of your original before you overwrite it. That really is your only goal for reading that thread.
Changing the build.prop makes the phone look like the i9000 which Gameloft will allow you to install the app. After the app has downloaded and installed. Copy the original build.prop over again and reboot your phone. You must reboot your phone each time you overwrite the file. Hope this helps.
I figured it is a useful trick to know as know it will have helped me for the 2nd time.

Still a fail... http://twitter.com/gameloft one tweet they say it works, the next no, this has NOTHING to do with rooting or anything else, it is a pure case of bad marketing and failing to do their research...

I managed to get it, they say they were having problems. This morning when I tried it sent me a text to site but I didn't think you could change the phone from there. I tried a minute ago and changed phone to vibrant and all is good.
Be sure to check back on their site. They will have more coming out through Christmas, but the links only stay up for about a day. Some days its iPhone while others will be for Android.

Samsung Remote

I found a nifty app in the market. Its called "Samsung Remote". I have managed to link it to my brand new samsung TV but every time I try to connect the app force closes. Whats the deal? Is there any fix? Doesn't it not work with Nexus S?

You found it in the market? I don't see it and didn't think you could get it there using An NS. I used it on my vibrant and it was awesome. I chatted with a Samsung Rep a while back and was told it's for galaxy s phones only.

It's likely fc'ing as it probably relies on the touchwiz framework and associated libraries.

scroll down to the post from Onstom for a megaupload link to a modified version of the app. It runs on my girlfriend's NS and it connected to her PS50C7000 no problem.

sweet that works! the only issue now is that every time the app closes I always have to reconnect to the TV and have to wait like 1 minute before it connects and is operational.

Just installed it and played with it for a minute. Pretty nice....it actually showed all the BBQ Places near my office, including one that just opened a month ago.

Weird...I have a wifi-only but it's recognized as a Verizon in the market because I'm running a Tiamat rom, so it's available to me. I don't think it's cause you don't have a data plan.

I am also running a WiFi-only Xoom running Tiamat and I was able to install it but it seems the data connection may be to a Verizon server. It was never able to load any map data or any other information. So you may just need a Verizon plan. I will keep trying but no luck so far.

I can see it in the market from my xoom, but can't download it...I get a "this item is not available on your carrier" message.
Weird. I'm on stock unrooted.
From what I've heard, it doesnt sound like im missing much with this app anyway.

I second this. Says it's incompatible with my Asus Transformer also.

Actually I don't know what just happend, after I clicked the link in op, I was send to market and it started downloading. My rom is EOS nightly build v.70, i've attached two pics, first says "this item isn't available in your country or by your carrier", 2nd pic shows the app running.
I live in Denmark without dataplan, my xoom is wifi. First time I experience this behavior, the install dialog popped up in my browser, not in market.
