[Q] Market 3.1.5 for Galaxy Tab? - Galaxy Tab Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

What is the latest version of market for P1000? On my tab it has been updated automatically to 3.0.27 and on my both phones to 3.1.5. So my question is wheter Tab is supported by the newest market?

Yes the tab is supported but I did not like the seemingly cluttered new market. I have since reverted to the old version which looks cleaner to me and disabled market updater using Titanium backup.

I uninstall the market update because i can't install large memory games. It keeps on saying error not enough memory.

I seem to get a device not compatible banner on about every game. I know these games work since i have to upload them to my drop box to install them. It is so damn annoying.
Is this google side or could it be the rom I am using?
I'm on a tmobile tab running BOCA Heretic.

[Q] [NEED HELP] Market on my Galaxy Tab is not updated

Market on my Galaxy Tab is not updated to new version yet. Can anyone tell me how to update it.
Thanks
Try going into Settings, Applications, Manage Applications, All and select Market. Clear data for the app and then restart your Tab. Hopefully this will do the trick.

A link to some themed markets... Also has the stock on there. Tested on tab, works fine. If you use a themed one, have to reflash an updated version each time, he's good about keeping them updated though.

Thanks, but doesn't work for me. If I use MarketEnabler, I can finde the music app in the Market, but it refuses to install, claiming that it's invalidly signed.
If I download the apk from the link above, package installer terminates with a simple 'not installed' message.
Rooted Euro Tab on Swisscom, Switzerland.
Rapax, have you installed honeycomb music player before that? If yes - delete it..
Here you are.. http://www.stilbruch.at/2011/05/for-everyone-outside-of-us-google-music.html if you need another alternative.. Will be the same I guess

I get the same thing here after upgrading to Gingerbread (Overcome) - I used MarketEnabler to download it from the Market; happily running under Overcome 1.6.x (Froyo) but after Gingerbread all it does is force close upon running.

Yeah Google Music crashes each time since the Gingerbread update... Overcome and Stock too
Here too
Euro tab GSM, running GB overcome 2.0 beta 2
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA App
I pinned down the crashes to two reasons:
Obviously Samsung built our 2.3.3 on rather outdated code and modified some pieces of the mediaprovider...
Usually, the Stock-Music apk allows access to the MediaPlayBackService and Google temporarily revoked access in 2.3.3, so Samsung thought it would be a great opportunity to **** around with the existing code and Changed some things in the Stock MediaProvider-Service thingy
That's the major reason why the Google Music Beta crashes in 2.3.3 but works great in 2.2
So it is not a "Google Thing", it is a "Samsung Thing" and Samsung would have to fix that.. We all know that this won't be likely to happen, so there are two possibilities I see here... We fix it ourselves or someone clever ports the MediaProvider including access to the MediaPlayBackService from the current CyanogenMod 7.something builds to the Galaxy tab. I tried and failed as the modules crashed on boot and I had to reflash the whole system
Anyone interested in getting that done? I'd do it, but I've too little time at the moment to get it done properly :-/ it shouldn't be that hard anyways, I guess...
Someone needs to make this work. I have all my devices working beautifully with Google music without a problem except on my galaxy tab running overcome 2.0.

Have you tried deleting the application data and reboot then? :-/ I used the official market version btw. but that shouldn't make much difference... as I pulled it directly after the install from my tab.

It should work if you install via Root Explorer (package installer) and reboot.

I installed it like any other app on cm7 rc11. Now works almost fine. I didnt use root explorer or anything else at all. Maybe the package has problems. Download it from android central stie or androidandme site and try again.
That was easy.
Downloaded from the multiupload direct link, installer ran it automatically, then it installed quick like a bunny.
Surprised that the app is pretty snappy now after a sluggish first impression.

I just installed it on my Motorola Droid 1. It works great! better than the old app market. This new is look SWEET!!!! This new app is awesome!!!
Have also installed it now, on top of iceandfire/CM7. Installed it normally (no Rootexplorer) and the market is working flawlessly.
Seems like this version of Android Market downloads to /cache instead of /sdcard/downloads (as in the CM version). Since I have dalvik-cache on /cache, downloads/updates for large apps fail :/

I don't understand something about this new market. How the heck am I supposed to update an app when there is only one app that has an update? I click the app and it says open, then I go back and it shows an update still. It doesn't show an 'update all' button like when there are multiple apps that have updates.
EDIT: The app, it insists on staying in the update available list even when it is already updated. The only way to resolve this was to reboot. This new market has some bugs that need fixed, as with any first release. The honeycomb market had quite a few issues as well when it first came out, but they have since then been resolved.
Isn't the new market slower than the current one for you guys?
i like the new markwt because of its design

[Q] Youtube 2.2.16

Does anyone having problem with the new Youtube update to 2.2.16 ?
My GTab Youtuble 2.2.16 is very slow to start itself, to start a video, some of them just looping and looping, some have sound but no pic. video with labeled HD doesn't work. I have to go to the Market Youtube app and uninstall it. This will put back the previous version 2.1.6 which works very good.
My Gtab is running Brilliant Corners 1.3.0 (froyo 2.2)

This app is incompatible with you Android

Hi all,
I'm running CM7 w GB and never had any problem downloading any app from the market but with the following one I do get an incompatible error:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.abnambro.nl.markets.turbo&feature=apps_topselling_free
It says it runs for 1.6 and up... Any idea why it doesn't work? Do you also have the same error?

sounds like galaxy mini not fit the requirement to run it, btw is a free app so just download the APK somewhere ant try install in manually
Yes it works, if installed from apk. Flixster Movies is incompatible with Galaxy Mini, and I was successful installing it via apk.
There were somethings called market unlockers. That would allow you to install any app on your Phone... I think there were

I'm looking for one too...there is a hack for it but it's not for the latest market.
For the newest the aren't any. Search for the market with the old design. For that you will surely find.... But for newer i don't know
