Has anyone got the factory o2 mango rom for the HTC hd7? Does it enable internet sharing as i have the rtm version and does not have it. If the stock o2 rom has internet sharing is anyone able to upload and give manuals on how to flash back to o2
many thanks

The latest o2 Mango ROM can be found HERE
Flashed it myself a few days back and my phones been MUCH more stable, with a much better battery life and signal. I too was on unbranded Mango RTM before that.
I simply flashed that ROM straight away (download, unrar, Put phone in Bootloader, connect cable, run ROMUpdateUtility). No need to do anything else (R/HSPL, etc). Easy.
I haven't tested internet sharing but i'd advise you to flash that ROM anyway as like i said it's been a hell of a lot more stable and the Radio that's with it has massively improved my Signal and Battery life compared to whatever i was using with the Mango RTM.
You should get the update anyway if you are on RTM. If you use the above method you will wipe your device.
My wife had the RTM and she go a Firmware update pushed to her which has made her phone work flawlessly. All the HTC apps now work etc. Mine on the other hand is still waiting.....
I think it not drive missing
It does not work, because the mango version of the registry policy in htc.
We can not edit it, access restrictions!

Hi I have a Euro Diamond from the UK and I just saw that HTC has an update on their website, I didn't want to do HARDSPL ROM flashing yet but is the official Diamond ROM update a good choice for now? I live in the US but the phone is from UK so do I choose that i live near US or UK and if I do update the ROM can I still flash the phone like HARDSPL and DUTTY's rom? Any hard reset required from the HTC ROM update?
If you've got an HTC branded device from the UK, then you'll be able to flash the new ROM (v2.03) without making any modifications to you device (i.e. Hard SPL). However, updating the ROM will remove everything you've added yourself... just as a hard reset, so back up all your files first.
It's well worth the update... TF3D is a lot faster, and there are a few other little tweaks too.
Hey guys,
I've searched everywhere but there's no definitive guide to revert to stock from WP7. Pretty much, I tried out WP7 on my dad's HD2, but he didn't like it. So I need to revert it, but there's so much stuff to know that it all gets pretty intimidating.
Anyways,
HTC HD2 w/ Windows Phone 7 (Using aMAGLDR V1.12 - Build: Jan 12 2001, 21:09:22 - by Cotulla 2011 [this ONLY, no other mods present])
Trying to convert back to Windows Phone 6.5
Using Windows XP
Have d/led Windows Active Sync but it won't connect to the PC even when the USB is plugged in. (I'm guessing this is the reason why I can't revert to stock, it won't even connect to the PC)
I've also d/led the latest stock RUU_Leo_1_5_TMOUS_3.14.531.1_Radio_Signed_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14_2_Ship from the forums.
It looks like I have all the resources but my PC won't even recognize the phone being connected to the computer. Must I do anything else besides attempting to flash the stock ROM?
Thanks A LOOOOTTTTT in advance!
I have the Exact same question anybody help please?
It might be you don't have the drivers installed that are needed, your antivirus could be preventing a connection, I had a similar problem where it seemed that it didn't recognize my phone uninstalled sync when into my bootloader it didn't seem to recognize my phone tasked 29 and it went through without a problem
::BUMP::
PLEASE someone help me out, this is getting soo frustrating, I switched to my laptop running Vista and it still won't recognize it.
I d/led Windows Mobile Device Center and it STILL won't work.
Please anyone.
Enter the bootloader screen then plug phone in and wait for it to say USB at the bottom then flash the stock rom from t-mobile

Do what he says in post above mine.
Or flash using SD-Card method!
Also read the MAGDLR thread dummy, there you also see how to revert back

Will SW upgrade lock my unlocked HD2 to T-Mobile??
Hi
My HD2 from Tmobile is unlocked & am using it in India.
It has SOFTWARE: OS :5.2.21889 (21889.5.0.87), Manila version:2.5.20121412.1
ROM Version :2.10.531.1 (82076) WWE
I am planning to upgrade the ROM to 3.14.531.1.
I read at forum that Post upgrade, my HD2 will default to factory settings. Does it mean that my phone will again be locked to T-mobile?
Pl confirm asap as I don't want a locked phone
Thanks...
no it will never be re locked again, no matter what you do.
Ahh but which one????

Ok dude this makes a lot of sense, but which one should I download? Are those version numbers or radio IDs? I don't want to brick my HD2.
Thanks for any help you may give.
those are rom version numbers. go for either 2.10.0 (not .1) or 2.13, or either of the 3.14

Hi
I flashed NODO using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=988672
But wasn't Happy with the key board being USA and I dont really Use Compy/paste
so decided to go back to O2 Rom and flashed this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=957031 by schubert
The file got kicked off by Norton and I had to recover it from Quarantine.
Anyways the point I would Like to make is:
even though I have pre NODO again now . NOT once have my apps crashed like before or I had the need to reboot my phone like before and phones feels fast and ringtones sounds improved as it was when in NODO.
Has anyone tried going from NODO to pre NODO ?
would like to know your comments ( only people have unoffcial NODO update and gone back might be able to comment I guess)
I am so happy that I dont really care when the official NODO is out now
Not sure how buggy it is, but it is much older than the one you installed.
[ROM]RUU_Schubert_O2_UK_1.19.206.01_Radio_5.51.09.06a_2 2.30.50.09_Signed
[ROM]RUU_Schubert_O2_UK_1.68.206.03_Radio_5.63.09.13_3a _22.36.50.15_Signed
Quite a big difference in versions, so I'd imagine the firmware is less buggy. The operating system is the same version (7004 or 7008, if you updated via Zune) but obviously the OS communicated to the marketplace via the Radio. So perhaps the updated radio improves things.
New radio driver's usually giver better battery life, too.
EDIT: I too unbranded to the HTC_Europe firmware, but like you, the lack of a UK Keyboard irritated me, but no where near as much as the US voice that you get when doing voice searching.
I've been looking into whether or not i can transfer over the keyboard and voice files to the HTC_Europe ROM. I've a developer account with MS, so I can freely prowl the registry and file system and I have found the registry files pertaining to the UK voice (Microsoft Hazel, it's called) and what I believe to be the speech file itself. No luck on the Keyboard, however.
Not that the O2 firmware annoys me much. In fact, with a registry tweak to remove Yahoo Search in IE and removing mologo.bmp in the Windows folder you can't tell it's an operator ROM. It would just be nice to get updates as soon as they're released
Well from my experience my HD7 was shipped with ROM:RUU_Schubert_O2_UK_1.19.206.01_Radio_5.51.09.06a_2 2.30.50.09_Signed This ROM was seriously buggy, had many issues i.e. frequent marketplace crash, random reboot etc...!!
So I decided to flash a stock HTC ROM: RUU_Schubert_HTC_Europe_1.69.401.01_Radio_5.54.09. 21_22.33b.50.10_Signed
which already had NoDo OS 7389, this ROM was much better more stable however like you guys, the lack of a UK Keyboard irritated me!
Therefore I reverted to back to a newer O2 ROM: RUU_Schubert_O2_UK_1.68.206.03_Radio_5.63.09.13_3a _22.36.50.15_Signed which I was pleased to say was very stable and fast, then all I did was forced NoDo OS 7390 update via zune keep bare in mind prior to doing that I chevron unlocked it so that it stays unlocked even after the update!
I personally Can't seem to force the update via Zune... on my HTC HD7 on O2 UK, so I have kinda given up as I aint too keen on the update much as my Phone is quiet stable now
Yeah and I do have the newer radio as well ...
And I feel if MS keeps coming with the updates WP7 will rock..
cause from nokia symbian I became an Android Fan , but now am leaning more towards WP7
Sorry, i am a bit new to wp7 stuff,
-How to flash the rom with the new radio ?
-Should i make any backup, i keep my hd7 on sync with Zune, it will restore everything after i flash the new rom, right ?
right now i am on radio 5.51.09.06a_22.30.50.09U
Firmware : 2250.09.11901.206
thanks in advance,
EDIT: ok, done a little search, flashed the rom and now updating it.
First post after such a long time on this site but I thought it would be worth posting this. The NoDo update for the HTC HD7 from O2 is now available. Plugged into Zune this evening and there it was... I'm still in the process of updating as I type this but its finally here!!!
I can confirm this... yippee
Thank god, its like I have been waiting ages and like we are the last to get it
I used Chevron to update it yesterday - but it still has given me an update notification just now when I plugged into Zune - so must be some HD7 specific updates in it too! Battery is too dead to do it now though so it's on charge!
Confirmed; updating now. Good to know you can still get the HTC Specific updates even if you used Chevron. That's what put me off using it, but I'll use it in future!

Same here. After update it still says the same build as before (7390). Not sure, if the firmware, radio or bootloader is the same, i did not noted the previous version number...
EDITED: It looks, that Chevron update was only for OS, but the update from O2 also included HTC stuff... I just checked the version numbers from the ansars new O2 DE nodo ROM files and it seems the same...
Indeed. I previously had on:
RUU_Schubert_O2_UK_1.68.206.03_Radio_5.63.09.13_3a _22.36.50.15
Version is now 1.69.206.01_Radio_5.54.09.21_22.33b.50.10U
Firmware is newer but Radio version is less. But from what I gather from XDA, lower radio version does not mean newer? Different versions work better in different parts of the world?
I used Chevron Updater, but got the HTC Update this morning, and it has the gradient but that is described here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=12690055#post12690055
Hopefully HTC will fix it soon
Just got the NoDo update today via Zune, Unlocked HTC HD7 (O2 UK), even though I didn't receive an update notification on my phone.
At first the intended update showed an error!!!
I had to turn on the System Event Notification Service in Windows 7, it was disabled, got advice from here. (scroll down to last question on the page)
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...8-update/e7359219-e1d1-4d7e-81a3-149a4d78525b
I ended up going to EU unbranded just to make sure I get all the updates right away from now on. Glad 02 finally released it
HI,
after 2 months of trying..i still cant force the mango update and are yet to recieve any notification through zune..
ive tried absolutely everything but to no avail..
please help
htc hd7 branded to o2uk but unlocked to orangeuk
Why are you trying to force it?
Had you installed a different Rom ?
I have an O2 Uk unlocked and using giffgaff and mine updated to Mango long ago although I had installed NODO by the quick method before.
i a using an unloched SEA set from singapore, forced NODO and loaded the SEA RTM rom found on XDA... and i got 2 updates from HTC after that, inernet sharing is one of them...
you dont have to force, just load the offical rom for your part of the world will do...
Try to disconnect from Wi-Fi after you clicked onto "search for update" in Zune. I did that w/ my Mac and Windows Phone Connector, works like a charm!
