Hi Everyone
My internal SD is gone. I have swapped my external SD card.
I am able to access Fat32 partition. Now the problem is with ext2 partition.
I need a file ext2.ko specifically for i9000 to mount this partition.
Can anybody tell, from where I can download it.
Thanks.

I had an idea this minute
if we are using images with a size of 1,7GB or what else... why aren't we using some tools like resize_reiserfs and so on to repartition the Internal SD and creating a new partition with native yaffs2 or ext4 on it?
I dont't really know where our ext2 images are laying but if this could be possible it should be much faster right?
That's the thing - it won't be faster. The internal SD card is pretty slow. That's why the original lagfix used a repartitioned external SD card..

Actually, it IS faster... That's why the newer lag fix uses an image on the internal SD card
I'm also wondering why nobody's trying to mount the internal SD with ext or yaffs2 instead of rfs...
EDIT : some answers : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=750663
That's right !!!
We are using a mounted image with a filesystem laying on a native filesystem.
The reason why we aren't using the whole internal SD card with yaffs2 or ext4... is we cannot partition the whole internal SD card and copy our files afterwards.
BUT... we are able to compile some tools like "fdisk", "resize_[filesystem]" for ARM to use them direcly on the system for resizing (smaller) -> creating a new one -> and format it with yaffs2 for example.
After that we have the ability to use this partition like the ones in all other lagfixes mounting, symlinking...
That's the Idea

Did you read what's already been written in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=7739573 ??
It's been tried by mimocan already, but didn't give a better result. Please do not start new threads on topics that's already been discussed elsewhere.
okay then close this
First off I have a Galaxy S Captivate and I'm a noob when it comes to the mods on this phone. It is rooted. I bought a 32gb sd card and wanted to partition into two partitions. I did some searching and found this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=543985. It worked great, but it didn't modify the ext sd card. It partitioned the internal card instead. Now instead of seeing the 16gb internal I'm seeing 13gb.
Question is, is there an easy way to 'undo' this without loosing everything and actually partition the external card?
Thanks in advance,
~jesse
The internal /sdcard partition should only have around 13gb. The entire phone has 16gb this includes all the system partitions and a 2gb partition in /data for user apps.
Okay so it repartitioned the internal storage. Is there a way to point it to the external to partition it? I'm wanting to move the apps to the sd to free up space. Sorry for the dumb questions...
You can't install an app in an external sd.
You can move apps from /data/app, which has the 2gb capacity, to a folder in /sdcard with native froyo software.
Settings>applications> manage applications>"the app you want"> move to sd.
Hey Guys..
I dunno if this has been answered before, but I can't seem to find. But I wanted to be able to put files larger then 4gb on my sd card. I have read a few things that people have partitioned their SD card into 2 partitions. 1) fat32 partition that the phone sees as sd-ext, and 2) a 2nd partition that allows files larger then 4gb.
Any recommendations/suggestions how I could do this? Or any apps that assist in this?
My phone is rooted btw...obviously its a script that would need to be run at boot.
Thanks!
Hi, yesterday i installed the razodroid 2.5 rom , i need improve the internal memory of my device, can you help me , i had a 16GB sd card , i had particioned with minitool particion wizard but my phone app link2sd recognize the particion but show me the netx text: Mount script cannot be created mount: Invalid argument . What filesystem is on your 2nd partition of the SD card? Make sure you select the correct filesystem in Link2SD when you create the mount script.
Mount the 2nd partition of your SD Card and transfer a file to it to make sure its been set up properly then delete the file.
Try repartitioning the SD card with ClockWorkMod Recovery, it does a better job of partitioning and creating filesystems on flash memory than partitioning tools meant for rotating storage.
Repartition using a different filesystem, when I setup Link2SD the only one that I could get to work was FAT32 but since you have the Razodroid ROM which includes Rafael's kernel I would have thought any FAT or ext filesystem would have worked. Incidentally before I got it working I was getting a similar error regarding "Mount script cannot be created" IIRC.
Hi i used ext4, but i just can make a link , when i check the capacity show me 200Mb total memory

So it's working then or not?
Link2SD works by basically fooling Android into believing an app is on internal memory when its on the SD card. It does this by moving files to the SD card and then creating a link to them in internal memory. So you won't see an increase in internal memory capacity by using Link2SD. However when you link an app with Link2SD you will free up space in the internal memory which allows you to install far more apps.
Try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1955422
, but read carefuly the instructions !!!

RazoDroid v2.5 build version has had Link2SD removed i assume this was done for a reason as its a popular app, it might be worth checking out the thread to see if they mention why. Just a thought have you checked to make sure that both Partitions are primary?

I am using Night Owl([ROM][CM12.1][Lollipop][Android 5.1.1] NightOwl 20151003) on samsung galaxy Note GT N-7000.
I have partitioned my external SD card (16GB Class10) with AParted (11GB Fat32, 4GB ext2, 512MB Swap).
I was able to use this partition as my internal memory to install apps.
but after flashing this rom I am not able to mount the sencond partition.
Link2SD shows SD card 2nd part not found in the storage info.
When I try to recreate the mount script I get an error
Mount script error
Mount script can not be created
Mount: Invalid argument
Please suggest a way forward.

Not a Note, but had this issue with CM12.1 on a Moto E. Try selecting Ext4 when Link2SD asks what format it is.

Thanks, Jacob but I already tried that and it didn't help
The main prob is about 2nd partition not being detected.
Try uninstalling (make sure everything reverts) and use this link to repartition instead. Link2SD isn't as reliable because of conflicts with the rom.
I've just bought a 64GB Class 10 SD card for my N7000, running the lastest Bauner Nightowl. This is to store mainly mp3 audio files.
Can anyone please tell me how it is best to format it? FAT32, VFAT, something else? Also although I'm happy to keep all the files in one partition, am I better off with additional partitions?
