why is my alarm clock not showing like this anymore...?

it just shows a lockscreen type of alarm app
Thanks.

Have you applied a custom rom to it??
Maybe because of a software update... I'm on 2.3.4 it still has something similar except its no longer buttons but drag bars... this maybe because of my rom/theme though
Thanks for showing me i never really noticed, always been too sleepy
I have just tested this and read that image. I'm sure it never used to be an increasing ring on the normal alarm, only on the smart alarm... weird

I do have a custom ROM, however,I think that even in stock ROM it doesnt show me like i posted before.
But tonight, I will give it a shot and install an official ROM to see if it solves this issue.

[Q] Full-width Background on Darky's 9.3 ROM

Hello everybody,
I've been searching for this on the internet, but I really can't find it. I've checked my settings as well, but...nothing. I guess this is one of the most n00bish questions ever.
My question: The standard backgrounds (non-live) are moving in the direction, you slide the menu. But, when I want to make my own background, it stays static and doesn't move with the menu.
The normal width selection looks like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
But when I want to make a background it looks like this:
Help me please!
Thnx.
Btw: I have a custom ROM, Darky's v9.3 Beta 3
Beta = unfinished for test purposes only etc etc etc
!100% not for newbies .
jje
But that wasn't my question, with all respect.

And what i am suggesting is that its the rom making the problem and you would need to ask the rom developer or report it as a bug or even search the developers pages for the problem .
Or hang around for another suggestion .
jje
Ok, thnx. I will do that. So it's not a regular problem in your opinion?
I might be a Galaxy I9000 n00b, but I'm not some idiot. When I mess something up on the phone, I know how to get it right again. I'm familiare with computers and most OS...so I'm ready to take that risk.
Just grab the corner of that yellow box and drag it diagonally so it fills the screen...
Haha, that was the first thing I tried! Doesn't work.

post the actual background file so I can take a look at it. I've done tons of my own wallpapers on darky's rom (and I'm running beta 3 too) and never had a problem.
I would like to do that, but because I'm new I can't upload photos again...

I had a MIUI WidgetLocker theme (2.0) for a long time, before I actually got MIUI.
Here's a screenshot of what the WL theme looked like. I used ADWnotifier and it notified just like MIUI. You slide down each icon to open that application.
The time/date wasn't included. That's just a clock widget I found.

Found it. Reason it didn't show in a search is the name was under lockdecline and decline didn't show

Post flash issues.

Hey guys, iv scanned the forum for hints and tips with my SGS since i got it a year ago and has always been very helpful, now iv hit a wall. I had the wonderful problem of trying to update the firmware and ended up getting bricked. So after scratching my head for a few hours and lots of huffing i sorted it. Anyway, i worked out how to flash it etc but now the phones gyro thingy wont work and i cant turn it to landscape and its now forever crashing and is now really slow. Help!?
Thanks
Bad flashin? Try re-flashin.

Feel allowed to learn and to try by youself
Try to re-flash same/different firmware with full wipe. That should fix the problem. Had same issues when were trying to downgrade from 2.3.3 to 2.2.1
Good luck.
You guys need a DUHHH smiley, i checked back to the firmware site i originally went to and discovered that i had picked what i think maybe like a universal firmware or something, scrolled back up the list and found the one for my network provider
Foo'
Thanks very much guys

[Q]xt860 users, general question

Do you ever find that no matter what rom or theme(gb only) you flash that the signal strength icons stay the same stock moto ones?
Sent from my XT860 using xda premium
Now that you mention it.. yeah. It doesn't look bad or anything though. I haven't ever installed a theme yet, so not sure if this helps...
I got curious and searched my phone for screenshots and found 2 gingerbread-based rom screenshots from my XT860.
Liberty 2.0Gold ROM:

}
(and I think this is Mavrom4):
Drives me nuts
I think its because gsm uses different signals icons for some reason. Don't know why. I manually change them with ninja morph
I was surprised no one else had every mentioned it. I follow nearly every thread on here

LOL
I'm just happy that the icon (and function) works. Which theme/visual mods are you running right now? And/Or.. which rom? I'd like to see what your setup looks like. I admit, I'm getting a little bored of the standard look.
Mavrom 4.0 with nextang theme from the maverick toolbox

Looks like the screenshot got compressed and resized. Do you hate that SMS icon as much as I do? Hah.. I may just have to give Mav another shot and play with the themes. Mav4 made my phone warm for the whole 8 hours I had it installed. It bugged me.

[Q] An explanation

I bought a brand new international verizon droid 3 from motorola
I am keeping stock os on it android 2.3.4
Everything works fine I just don't understand something
Near the battery icon i have another battery icon that is monochrome and has check sign on it (u know the one u put in a square box when u want to activate an option in a menu for example)
What does that sign mean ? i cant select it or anything
Is it good is it bad ? can i make it go away ?
That sounds like the alarm clock icon. Do you by any chance have your alarm clock set?
Take a screen. There are apps that do it I think. Or take a pic with a camera.

it was the alarm clock but it looked very different from my other phones i did not recognize it thank you
I've always wondered why they chose that as the alarm clock icon. It looks nothing like an alarm clock.
I think of a clipboard for some reason when I see it.
