I bought a brand new international verizon droid 3 from motorola
I am keeping stock os on it android 2.3.4
Everything works fine I just don't understand something
Near the battery icon i have another battery icon that is monochrome and has check sign on it (u know the one u put in a square box when u want to activate an option in a menu for example)
What does that sign mean ? i cant select it or anything
Is it good is it bad ? can i make it go away ?
That sounds like the alarm clock icon. Do you by any chance have your alarm clock set?
Take a screen. There are apps that do it I think. Or take a pic with a camera.

it was the alarm clock but it looked very different from my other phones i did not recognize it thank you
I've always wondered why they chose that as the alarm clock icon. It looks nothing like an alarm clock.
I think of a clipboard for some reason when I see it.

FWIW, I am not fond of any HTC apps with one exception. The clock app is sweet...Count down and up timer, world clock and weather all in one app. Hope the AOSP includes these in the future.

those look like Launcher pro icons there are tons of those white low opacity icons floating around probably why its hard to find try getting the app launcher pro icons there are a ton in there you might find the one your looking for they also have a website if you want to look through there database and just grab the icons you want if they're there!
I might be able to help you but i can barely see those icons your trying to find to actually distinguish between them..Like the guy above there are many that look the same so hard with a small pic to match them like that!

Give me your email, I have these installed on my phone and they are in the icons thread but they are deep in there and it would probably take a while to go through that entire thread. I think I have the name of the zip on my computer at home but I am at work and wont be off until 4 if you want to wait.
I have been looking for these as well.
Edit: Nevermind found it on Deviant Art. Give the creator props

it just shows a lockscreen type of alarm app
Thanks.
Have you applied a custom rom to it??
Maybe because of a software update... I'm on 2.3.4 it still has something similar except its no longer buttons but drag bars... this maybe because of my rom/theme though
Thanks for showing me i never really noticed, always been too sleepy
I have just tested this and read that image. I'm sure it never used to be an increasing ring on the normal alarm, only on the smart alarm... weird
I do have a custom ROM, however,I think that even in stock ROM it doesnt show me like i posted before.
But tonight, I will give it a shot and install an official ROM to see if it solves this issue.

HELP...!!
Anyone...???
Hi guys
I just upgraded my HTC One to Android 4.4.3 with Sense 6 using a custom rom (MaximusHD 42.0.0).
When I recieve a text message, I naturally see a notification of this on my lockscreen (see picture).
If I tap on the notification, nothing happens, only for the visual representation that I pressed it (colors change a bit).
I would assume that the message app would open when I tap the notification.
If I remember correctly, the correct behaviour was available in Sense 5/5.5
Could this be a mistake in the custom rom or just an overal feature missing from Sense 6?
It's really stupid to unlock the phone + slide down the notification center and press the notification.

It's sense 6 feature. You can slide down in order to get that rectangle and then click on message and it will open. For notification bar you don't need to unlock your phone. Just pull down whith screen on

Thanks!
It works now, but it's pretty weird and inconvenient if you don't know that it works that way.
Anyway, thanks man!

Hi, as above. After updating this really annoying eyedropper icon that if pressed, changes the colour of everything on screen. Mostly It's just in the bleeping way.
What is it and how do I get rid of it?
Thanks,
Zo0

Go to settings then the accessibility section then the text and display section the colour correction shortcut is what you need to turn off
that's the first thing/place I looked but upon further review and getting used to the new interface, the radio button is on a drop-down menu under CC and it says " colour correction shortcut lol "
I guess I was in such a hurry I missed it.
Thank you,
Zo0
