Why are they 960x853 resolution? Isn't the Prime 720p? I don't think these are the full res wallpapers.

That's a live wallpaper not a static one, and nothing has been backported yet apps wise

Not sure about the second link but the first link, I think the website just basically see the picture and make a news out of it... If I rmb when I watcht he video it is just showing the past successful samsung devices....

sorry to say, but the picture in the first link just illustrates the evolution of the galaxy series. it was used for the anouncement of the nexus s not to show ics supported devices...

That's basically a full featured ICS theme, go grab ICS launcher from market, and you have Ice Cream Sandwich on your Captivate. I use it, and its just plain sexy.

I'd love to do it but I'm only familiar with the resolution of my phone. Some widgets are bound to procentage while some strictly to pixels, It would be hard for me to do it without having the phone/preview.

Like the Kite image for the Nexus 6, we will probably never really see it.
The unboxing videos I've seen has that wallpaper. We need someone to pull it from the Nexus 6P stock image before we can get it.
