How to port a theme?

Hello everyone. I have been using a theme called enoch for cm5.0.8, white widow rom, and I love it. Its a dark theme with blue highlights. My question is there any way to port it to work with cm6? I am using kaosfroyo and would like to see if I can port some of the graphics. Any help? Thanks!

Switch file names to the one you want and resize. Thats all it takes. Ive ported from Hero/N1/DROID/G1 to our phones with just doing that and no issues when using MetaMorph.

Im not quite sure I follow you? Why would changing the name help? Also the maker of this theme only makes it flashable via recovery as of now. Is it possible to port it to metamorph?

by the way I am using your theme as of right now Kevlar. I like it alot!

Some times the file name might be different from G1 to the Eris. So then you have to rename it to the Eris file name. Easiest way to do it is to compare from an Eris ROM. Then you have to resize to our size.

I am really new to all of this. Can any theme at all be ported to our Eris? I would really like to have this one on mine running CM6.
The theme is on Droid-forums.net and is 24k Black glass by Cuttalott. I can not post links yet. Sorry. I do not believe posting that is any rules infractions, but I do not post here very often.
Being from Pittsburgh, it obviously would be right up my alley, but I don't think it is possible. He doesn't have it running yet on CM6, but his other ones are. Is this anyway possible or is it out of the capabilities of our device. Like I said, not trying to bother people here, just too new to know what can and can't be done.

Any theme can be ported. Just look into making MetaMorphs and compare file names and sizes. Its that easy. Only time consuming part is resizing.

There us a theme porting script over in the main theme forum,i haven't had a chance to try it yet, but definitely plan on it

[REQ Theme] VirusRom Airborne 5.3

This Rom/Theme is pretty sweet, is it even possible to port this over to the Fascinate? For the most part I've seen that it is Exclusive to the HTC EVO so it may not be possible but wanted to check it out.

the theme could be ported...the rom atm no as its 2.2....and since im assuming its sense, it cant be ported anyway

It really blows that we do not have 2.2 yet. Especially with that screen shot that we had of end of 2010 and it still isn't here.....
If anyone is interesting in porting the theme it would be amazing!

I dont even know if this can be done or not but here it goes.
So I found this theme on the Evo thread by Abu and I really would like to use this theme. I am pretty new to this whole thing and was wondering if that is possible to get on the vibrant. here is the theme.

I am currently using a Samsung Vibrant Phone with Tmobile.

[REQ Port][theme] Dark Transparent [v2.0] QuadLock ExtendedPwrMenu

Anyone want to give this theme a shot? I like that it is transparent instead of all black. Probably do well with battery life as well with it being a darker theme... I could be wrong.

it would take some people much smarter than me...but i dont see it really happening

im assuming android.policy.jar and framework-jar.......but as to how to implement them? meh jt or kaos im sure could figure it out but they have bigger things on their plate
its a cool feature but im sure id get a headache looking into and ultimately not be successful...maybe with froyo someone will figure it out for touchwiz roms....but with aosp, i dont know how much tw dev will go on (and cm allows you to choose rotary or glass unlock anyway)

Any more interest in this one, it is a very clean theme!

i have no intention of doing it....i dont know if anyone else does....really it just looks kinda stock to me

unfortunately i have neither the ability nor time to port this theme to the captivate.

I eight this request.

We have the Gingerbread (which is all too common these days), the blue (which I love..but c'mon already), the red (for the anti-blue crowd), and most recently....the orange (for the pumpkin in all of us)
It's nice to see something a little different.
I kind of dig the rusted metallic look of it.
I was actually thinking to myself the other day to see if I could bribe one of the themers into making a beige / dark beige / rusted looking theme.
This would be close enough.

I will try porting some stuff and see if it works. If all goes well, I will share the complete port.
