Is there a way to get a Gingerbread style theme or ROM developed for the cricKet Sanyo Zio by Kyocera? I've used Spz0's OpenZio ROM and liked it very much. But now I am looking for a ROM to be developed or a theme to be made to make the notification bar and menu style look like Gingerbread.
Is there anyway to do this?
P.S. I would have posted in the Android Development section but it wouldn't let me.

I got home right now and was wondering if you made the Theme/ROM for the Sanyo Zio to make it look like Gingerbread.
I've been working on decompiling the services.jar to fix an issue with the time not showing on black status bars. Now instead of black on black I have a lovely red time and still can't see incoming notifications on the status bar.

What exactly do you want to see in this theme? I can make it look as close to gingerbread as possible, but notification buttons like wifi GPS sync and brightness will probably not be possible on the 2.2 framework

I have made a theme using UOT Kitchen as you suggested but am having a little bit of a problem.
Everytime I apply a theme the status bar changes to black but the clock still remains black color too. Is there anyway to make it white so I can actually see the time when applying my theme or any themes I make using UOT Kitchen?
Is this variable in framework-res.apk?
Post it anyways ^_^ I use fancy widgets for my time lol

I've been stalking this thread the past few days hoping for dj05 lol, I tried porting it to dj0f for my own phone but it proved to be too much for my first attempt lol..
All we need for it to be ported to DJ05 is for someone to figure out which files need to be edited to make the notification and popup text black. Everything else is done.

Well I have been playing with this for a while, and have decided to open a thread so that those who are using it can make suggestions and so I can stop cluttering other threads with post. This started off as just some fun, it is based on 2 different themes, Android 3.0 and Mambo's theme (I forget the name at the moment). I held off on making a thread till I had made enough changes that I am comfortable saying it is my own. This is very much a work in progress, and I am picking up this theme thing as I go allong. To those this may be of interest, enjoy.
To apply download mtz. Go to theme manager, hit menu, import, navigate to hy5.mtz, select, apply.

Looks like the first one you put up (the one without the extention) was actually 5.4.
When I went into Theme Manager after downloading it I saw that the thumbnail was titled "5.4". I thought that maybe it was just a typo and installed anyway.
I just installed the newer one (with the extention) and all is working now.
Awesome theme for an awesome ROM. They just need to fix the black on black text on some of the popups.

Hey everyone, I've been working on a new rom for the Zio M6000. I'm starting from the stock rom and giving it a gingerbread look. This isn't just going to be a theme, I am working on adding parts of 2.3.3 into the stock rom.
I am working on getting rid of all the stock orange glow and changing it to a nice green. I'm aiming for a complete gingerbread experience, I've added multiple tweaks and have tested them for a while and this is turning out pretty nice so far. I was just wondering if there was anyone that has experience in graphics that could help speed up the process of this project?

I need every orange highlight needs to be green. The whole UI needs to be re-worked. The stock services.jar needs the Roaming indicator taken out, the time needs to be changed to the same shade of green as the rest of the rom.

Thanks. Where can I change the time color, I need to change it to A0E000 to match the rest of the icons.
This rom is going to take some work since a lot of apks need some graphic work to get all notification icons match the theme.
I've already started working on Settings.apk and added a new option under wireless networks then mobile networks... now there is a dormancy timer but I have no clue what it does.

It's not in framework-res.apk? I believe the dormancy timer is how long of a 'no communication' period it takes before you stop sending data packets to whatever you're doing. After it goes dormant, you have to re-ping, re-connect, etc.

And the dormancy timer isn't sticking, is there something that should be in the build.prop that will make it stick?

Not that I'm aware of. I wouldn't think editing these values holds much worth as far as battery life, though. We're talking minutes of battery life per charge, and editing them any lower could lead to increased data usage which isn't really a problem because of the ability to remove the throttling services), but will also lead to longer page-load times, all due to having to constantly reconnect to the server (I'm under the assumption that it's measured in seconds).

EDIT: What I'll need is a 2.1 sense rom with our phones resolution and I the rom's dev's permission to use it's images for a theme. From there on I can easily un-pack the .apk/.jar/etc files and replace the images and also edit some xml files and BOOM! There's "froyobread"
So is this a usable Rom?

How is this project coming along so far Mattix? I'm really looking forward on seeing this new rom.
In case anyone needs any ideas for a theme, I've been missing the theme that I had on my moto droid. It was the themed version of simply stunning 5.1. It looked substantially like the gingerbread theme that is current on Revolt 1.5, but the color scheme was blue and silver/gray.
If anyone wants to make this (preferably so that it's compatible with mtmichaelson's revolt 1.5 rom), I would be greatly appreciative, and would not hesitate to donate some beer money =D
I actually thought about doing this right after I got done with Iconic Revolted. Iconic Revolted is already a blue and silver theme. I used to be a "beta tester" for ChevyNo1 so I'll ask him if I can use his theme and see what he says. If he says it's ok then I'll jump on it sometime tonight.
That would be fantastic. I tried out your iconic theme, but I wasn't too big on the icons in the status bar - I've become too used to the smaller GB stock icons.

ok this is my first attempt at theming and it seemed to have worked out nicely im planning on doing a bunch of updates as i love this theme and use it i intend to theme the dialer , contacts , and mms , and at some point the widgets like facebook and google search to match the theme , but this may take a while i know a few people requested this so here it is

Tried 2.1 tonight having trouble getting wifi and 3g and alarm icons to come out right and for some reason the pulldown is still different so ... I'm hella tired ill try again tomorrow
