after days i'm trying to solve my problem for my Wellcom a99 in connecting to pc. I think it may be tethering to pc did it. I've found that in this toppic

So do the *#7284# not working with my a99 phone. So anyone know how to switch from modem mode to pda mode with ours phone?
My a99 has stoped connecting to my pc after i try to tether it with a sofware but not success. and now, event i Hardreset it still got problem.

I recently upgraded to 2.2 on my galaxy S , well this is one of the vesriosn that was found on the internet .
Upgrade was smooth , but problem after move are huge
1) USB not recognized neither in MAC or on my windows PC , on 2.1 i was able to use kies on my windows PC and mass storage on my MAC
2) If i download any thing from market the application is not found once its done with the downloading it just disappears
3) Phone hangs like crazy !!!
4) I tried to get back to 2.1 but when i connect the phone to odin its not recognizable at all .
I am not technical geek , request you to please help me out .

Edit: A few additional questions: How did you update (Odin or Kies)? What were your precise settings?
Did you do a factory reset? (before or after the flash?)
Have you tried a different PC, a reboot or a different USB port? (for odin)
First off all, this should have been posted in q&a section.
Second, have you tried to get into download mode? How did you upgrade to 2.2?

settings > applications > development > usb debugging - check this.
now try connecting to ODIN with USB cable, should work...

I have just upgraded my Galasy S I9000 to Rom Ultimate 7.5. Everything is fine up to now. However, i cannot connect to PC through Kies or anything else. Cannot find the USB setting in About phone.

PC cannot recognize the phone whether i chose any setting in USB setting. No notification from phone or PC during the connection. Now i only can use the USB cable to charge my phone.

i got my sgs about a mouth ago and thought that i would root it. i read up on it
so i rooted it to i9000xxjp2 2.2 which i thought was the lasted update then realised it was not so i went to go in download to do the lasted update but would not let me by the 3 button combo or by a jig the phone works fine itself apart from there is no network signal and can't connect to my pc but can connect to wifi
plz can any one help

try reinstalling the drivers through the program kies - see if the pc then recognize the phone.
did you try getting in recovery mode? you have cwm? you didnt say. if yes change the modem with a flashable zip ,that might solve the no signal.
thanks can not get into recovery or cwm but i can now see my phone in my computer but keeps saying connecting in kies
in phone go to settings -> applications ->develompment and enable usb debugging.
then you can connect to computer without kies.
youcan also try under wireless and network go to USB settings and choose "ask on connection"

did you try again to get into download mode with jig ?
i have tried it in debugging i can see the drives but when i click on them all it says is insert disk but i can go into them if debugging is turned off
and i have tried the jig several times now

download drivers from perka's file stash. give it another go ...
i think you changed bootloaders and it messed the mods. but for this you'll need some with more experience then me.

hi,
If you want the 3B combo, you must flash the bootloader fix :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=785201.
Check your drivers, cable (stock one) and if you, check wireless -> USB settings -> Kies mode selected.
About the network signal, check you EMEI (*#06#), if it's a default one, something happened to your /EFS folder (restoring a previous backup can, probably solve that issue).

i have tried flashing the bootloader but kies does not see the phone keeps say connecting i have reinstalled the drivers for kies still no luck but i did still try with odin3 but it just said fail. and the and the adb just opens and close
i do not have USB settings on the phone
have looked at the IMEI and it is the same on the box
when i rooted my phone i was not aware of EFS folder letalone backing it up

Connect in download mode..
(Power off phone. Keep pressing volume up and then power button till downloading text appears on screen.)
Now connect to pc.
If it is not recognised as usb device then change your cable.
Else, remove battery to get out of download mode and enter in recovery mode after reconnecting battery. And restore any other nand backup or install different rom.

i've try put it to download mode but pc still doesnt say that unreconize device. then i put firmware.nbo of all other such as from wellcom, spi, cherry so my phone still say not correct file to flash. i've formated sdcard by my phone before go in to recovery mode. i also reinstalls window but the problems still there. i've tried serveralls usb cab as origin cab by wellcom, usb cab of sony ericson x10mini and a nokia cab but pc not connected to the phone. so every cab is good for connect my other android phone to pc and flashing. (i have sony ericson x10 mini pro, another android phone)

If it is not detected in download mode (I suggested download mode because it is independent of presence of adb daemon service running in background), then paarkhi is right. Please take it to service centre, as your connection port must have been impaired.
Wellcom service center is not in my country. As far i know, with froyo 2.2 there are lot of phone form motorola, samsung has a problem with connecting to pc. so some time my wellcom a99 too, but when it happen, I do a factory reset then its ok. but now factory reset does not solves my problem. and I cant flash any nb0 files. is there anyone faced the same problem with me?

becoz if there is no service center then u might jst need to ship it to the wellcom headquators ....
dont worry .. due to software issue ur warrnty may not void .. as its a problem with ur port
did u tried any other usb cable... it happnd with my friend who's phone wasn't getting detected though it was charging .. then first we changed the cable and it worked.. try if works for u

I'm using Windows XP and I can't connect my GNote to kies.
I've tried almost everything that is written on the net. Installing-reinstalling kies, rebooting PC, rebooting phone everything and still no success.

I plug the usb cable in my MOBO USB 3.0
And it cant recognize...then i try to swtich it to USB 2.0
It just work like magic...so you may try to check is that you facing the same problem?
