No root permissions in adb shell - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello all
I am following this link to root my samsung galaxy S2 on debian.
androidforums.com/fascinate-all-things-root/236081-how-root-using-ubuntu.html
I have successfully done till step 8 of the link. However I am not getting the root shell on my device. In short I am unable to complete the step 9.
Please suggest me something

Im not familiar with it, but there should be easy ways to root by just flashing your kernal... Also have you tried repeating the method again?
You wont find them in this section as this is S1 not s2, you can wait for an answer here, but you will get more specific advice on the s2 forum...

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 5.1.1 - Rooting Help

Hi There,
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 (Model SM-T710) and I'm trying to root it. I was able to get it done using KingoRoot via my PC but every time I restart my device, It tells me I need to re-root it.
The Kingo SuperUser app that installs after my device was rooting also is having trouble working with Titanium Pro.
Could someone point me in the direction of the most stable way to Root my device? I would even be willing to donate some funds for someone to walk me through.
My goal is to have Titanium Pro well with my rooted device.
Thanks in advance!

Just follow the instructions given to install twrp.
If you need to know how to use odin, search on google there's tons of guides.
Once you have twrp installed flash the file below with twrp to gain root.

Ensure you uninstall Kingroot and kingOroot root before hand.

If this is your question, then you are probably not ready to root just yet, anyway. You should always research before rooting anything. A lack of doing research before rooting any phone is good way to brick phones. A simple search will easily answer your question(s) about rooting this phone.
How to root the AT&T Galaxy S5 Marshmellow
Step 1. Stop Creating posts about the same topic
Step 2. Stop creating topics about anything without searching first
Step 3. Get a phone that can be rooted
Step 4. No stop. This phone can't be rooted for the forseeable future and much development interest in it has died.
Step 5. Go back to step 3

I DONT SAY HELP ME TO YOU AND WHAT YOUR PROBLEM WITH ME WTF !! IF YOU DONT WANT TO HELP ME OR YOU WANT TO INSULT ME JUST EXIT THIS TOPIC
The issue is that you have a couple topics on how to root this phone, if it has lollipop or marshmallow, it can not be rooted. Searching for this instead of creating 2 posts about it would have prevented the sarcastic answer. This phone is old and developers have moved on to newer phones.

Any updates on official ROOT for Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 (T395)

I thought I'd give the Galaxy tab active 2 / T395 a try out as I'm a big fan of the 'S pen' feature.
I have tried all the stand alone apks out there that claim they can root any android device; 'KingRoot, KingoRoot, OneClickRoot, z4mod.z4root, Rootmaster and Framaroot'. I'm sad to report, all of which do absolutely nothing, which is very dissapointing.
The only thing these ROOT apks do, is secretly install random unwanted programs and adverts to install other crap.
The device has been on the market for 7 months now, so can anyone provide any information updates as to when an official ROOT method for the Galaxy Tab Active 2 / T395 may be available by using Odin on the PC with the relevant 'CF-Auto-Root / TWRP' files?
Thanks for reading :good:
After much research and reading. There is a way of rooting the T395. Covered in this section by another member.
Having, myself followed the instructions, I can say my T395 active 2 , is fully rooted using the Magisk Manager method and patching the boot.img taken from the main downloaded firmware from sammobile website.
I guess things have moved on from using CF auto root and TWRP files for earlier android operating systems.
Hope this helps someone else out.
Step by step guide please

adb

I would like some help please.
I am wondering if someone could guide me in putting adb on my rooted note 5.
A little back ground. I dont have a pc at home right now and would like to allow a app called samsung package disabler devive ownership on my wifes S9 non rooted phone. This seems the only way to get the sister app pip to work on the newer android versions.
I have read that with adb intalled on a rooted phone and a otg cable its possible to send adb commands to a phone from a phone.
I have also tried a few tutorials i found on the wed but without any luck due to most lead to links that are no longer available.
So any layman instructions would be great. I am not ashamed to admit i am a beginner to adb. Thanks in advance.
Hi, as far as I know, adb is )unfortunately) not possible on our "dear" Note 5.
Can anyone please confirm though?
Thank you, i believe you might be right ?

How to root Galaxy M21 running Android 11

Hi there,
I'm looking for a guide to root Galaxy M21 running Android 11.
I tried browsing but wasn't able to find/decide which guide/way was the safest to go.
I need to root the phone in order to access some files created by an app (similar to AppData on Windows OS). So I need root access in order to browse/copy from the filesystem.
So, anything that can do this works for me. I don't need custom ROMS or anything fancy. The easier, the better - as long as it can do the job. I also want something safe (secure) for rooting.
The exact model is: SM-M215F/DSN.
I'm using Windows OS and I'm familiar or can easily understand root & firmware flashing tools.
Thanks very much!
