Try SenseDroid by Jerrytan93.
I'm using it now.
It's the most stable android rom from my opinion
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1267166

Thank you.
At the end I've found a way to do tethering via wifi using the XDAndroid rom: FRX07_v1 [Fat32].
I have to test it.

[Solved]
Well I've found the way, at last. With any android rom with Ducky's Monster Kernel and wifi-tether v3.1 beta 6 we can do tethering.
Wifi-Tether 3.1 Beta 6:
1. Install Wifi-Tether 3.1 Beta 6 (you can find it in google code).
2. Launch the app.
3. Go to "settings".
4. Then go to "Change Device-Profile" and choose HTC Desire (GSM) and start tethering.
5. Without stop tethering go again to "settings>Change Device-Profile> and choose HTC Dream.
6. Now stop tethering and start again.
Very thanks to kuskro for the solution.
Best.

[ROM][Dev:DXC] MIUI.us DefX 1.10.28

Official thread: http://rootzwiki.com/topic/8432-rommiuius-defx/
I recommend visiting the aforementioned thread for support. (As DXC won't be maintaining this one)
WARNING: I am not the developer/maintainer for this ROM, I simply reposted it here on XDA (with DXC's permission of course) for the good of the community.
CURRENT STATUS: LINK DOWN, UPDATING
Can be downloaded via ROM Manager.
This is for the DROID X on the GINGERBREAD KERNEL.
This is MIUI 1.10.28, created from MIUI.us Defy Base merged with DX essential.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the custom bootmenu, you will not be able to get to CWM recovery through ROM Manager. The reboot menu's CWM recovery option will work perfectly though. Also, in the custom bootmenu, 2nd-boot mode doesn't work yet, but I plan to give you a boot manager type option with it, where you can swap ROMs.
How to reenable rom manager for the current session only:
In Terminal Emulator (free from the market), type:
Code:
su
cat.jpg
Then you can use Rom Manager normally and it will work until your next reboot into MIUI.
Installation Instructions:
1) SBF to .602 unless you're already on MIUI 1.10.7 or later
2) Flash Rom
3) Wipe Cache
4) Re-enable root permissions in the superuser app.
5) Do not restore backups made before version 1.10.7.

So in order to falsh this, you HAVE to sbf back to .602? Couldn't you just install through ROM Manager?

It can be flashed over .605, but it is recommended to flash over .602.
You probably won't experience any problems if you flash it over .605.
The rom just can be flashed on anything earlier than .602.

I was on MIUI for about 2 weeks and I was having a few problems.
The lock screen would freeze half the time and I would have to lock/unlock the screen to get to my home menu.
The market would not load most of the time and I had to install apps through my PC and sending them to my Droid X.
The screen would freeze on and I would have to do a battery pull.
I flashed back to .602 and all these problems are gone.
So is anyone having problems with MIUI like I am?
I love the rom, except for these bugs.

Absolutely not. XDA just isn't kept up to date with Droid X development.
Later on I am going to remove this outdated thread and get permissions from the developers of the updated MIUI roms to repost the builds here on XDA.

Hate to be a noob but is there an advantage of this over the CM10 build? I had heard that initially CM10 didn't have butter but I'm not sure if that's fixed or not.

More choices the better I say. Someone might prefer AOSP over CM. I'm personally curious to try some AOKP on tablet. Anyways it's always great to see a device go from basically one rom to having 5 different roms all thanks to the manufacturer releasing code and our faithful devs.
Flashed the nvflash variant and restored apps via Titanium.
Everything is working really great, I prefer clean vanilla over CM and this is just perfect.
Thank you very much khanning!
P.S. Any idea what would have to be done to enable the home button to wake the tablet or what the issue with enabling that is?
I just installed it.
Don't see Google now anywhere.
Is it included?
Thanks.

Also noticed something odd.
Some of the apps don't look optimized for a 10" tablet.
They look more like an app on a 7" tablet like the Nexus.
The Youtube app for instance, has only two rows in the carousel view as opposed to three.
Also, can't find Google search installed in the system.
I can't find Search in the Play store either.
Will it be OK if I just re-flash all Google apps for JB from this link using CWM?

GApps is not a separate package here unlike CM9 or CM10. It is included as part of Khanning's install files, so no need to install them separately.
Because of the absence of Google Search app and the issues with Youtube app not scaling properly, I asked if it is OK to reflash the JB Google apps pack again. Will that overwrite the system apps correctly? I haven't tried it yet. Maybe it is better to wait for Khanning's update.
Works great. Thanks

I have an HDMI cable so I will check when I get home and report back.
So having tried all the recent builds posted by Khanning and Krook, I have gone back to Khanning's CM9 port as I think it is the most stable and has the most features.
Would stick around with CM9 until a more stable CM10/aosp build comes along.
Comparison between Khanning JB AOSP & Krook JB CM10, please?

I am on Krook JB (3g-test) which is based on Khanning's superb K1-CM9 for the past week or so and loving every minute of it even though there are still some issues that currently do not bother yet.
Khanning K1-CM9 is very good and Krook's JB brings it to another level of snappiness, somewhat buttery smooth.
For those who had installed both Khanning JB AOSP & Krook JB CM10, can you kindly do a comparison?
Sorry that I am too lazy to Titanium my K1 then flash then restore and go about all the settings all over again.
Maybe I missed something in the last page or so, but I just installed last night using NVFlash method and auto brightness is working. Has anyone else had similar results or am I alone in this one. I just checked the OP and auto bright is still listed as not working.
I do have to say, I have used Krook's CM JB and I find this as snappy. Nice to have a choice of flavors. Thanks, guys. You do great work.

[DISCUSSION][Q&A] MIUI Builds

I have made this thread as a common thread for all the builds out there, currently, two. One is the russian build and other is the miuiandroid build.
You can discuss here the bugs and ask questions about the bugs you have been facing. Hoping this thread would be a productive one and help the MIUI builds get more stable.
I'm in process of adding the links and making a FAQ for the MIUI v5 ROMs.
Those, who are having sim card PIN issues:
1. Be on any non-miui android rom(if you are on miui - reinstall rom to any cm/stock etc).
2. Go into the settings app > security & privacy > setup SIM card lock > disable "lock sim card"(atleast that's how the path looks on miui).
3. Install miui rom (follow specific roms guide).
For those having GPS issues:
1. Install "russian v3" miui rom (should be > here, has got gapps/franco kernel preinstalled) <, since this is the first and the only one (so far) rom that makes the gps sensor work on my nexus (might be not required on newer roms)).
2. Go into "google settings" app(not the default android app, instead the one which looks like this: this or this ) > Location > disable and reenable the "Access Location".
Gps should work after this.
For those, who are missing e-mail application:
Download it from > here.
Missing ROOT permissions?
1. Go into "System and Security" folder on desktop > Permissions.
2. Select "Root" > Enable "Enable Permission manager".

Thanks for putting this together! I was starting to get lost trying to keep up with 2 ROM builds along with all of the patches. I had a hell of a time yesterday when I flashed the version in the OP. Stupid me forgot to disable PIE in PA so when I flashed MIUI I didn't have any navigation buttons at the bottom, doh! I spent quite a while just trying to flash PA back so I could fix that. So, currently I'm back to PA and taking notes so I can flash the Russian version successfully today, fingers crossed.

Detailed Instructions of flashing are here: Install MIUI V5 ROM on the Nexus 4 and Galaxy Nexus
I've come up with a hypothesis.
The Russian version of MIUI uses Franco's kernel, which contains a modified ram-disk. I've been trying to flash the latest Franco Kernel on top of that, which causes it to stick at the boot logo.
The only people that I've seen successfully flash another kernel on top of the Russian Version are using either Harsh's or Faux's Kernels, both of which (I believe) don't touch the ramdisk. I'm going to try to flash both Faux's and Harsh's kernels, as well as others that don't modify the ramdisk.
If this works, then it means that the tweaks that the kernel needs to boot (or at least some of them), reside in the ramdisk.

Here's how I flashed. First, in TWRP, I did advanced wipe (system, dalvik, cache, data), and then a factory reset. Then I flashed build 3 (three) of the russian MIUI, and without rebooting, flashed the kernel I wanted to test. I then wiped cache and dalvik one more time, and rebooted.

Do this at your own risk. BACK UP FIRST, you are warned!
I can't offer any support as this is not my work at all.
If you are brave enough and want to try OMNIROM here what you need to do...
1. Download rom for hidden links here. These are not offical nightlies. Only some stres tests that the OMNIROM team is doing. But rom boots and works nice :victory:

WIFI is not working with .97 modem. Too, newest modem breaks audio.
Flash .84 modem (click here to download) and you are good to go.
If you need .97 modem for future use download by clicking here.
I think that at this point you know what to do.
There is not much in terms of customisation but it's nice to have a look at what is going on with omni
Regards
Anyone with some experience on this builds to tell what's broken?
AFAIK this are mostly builds to test the build server itself...
So this ROM comes without root?
I installed it, but why it does not restore my acc from google? Example, wifi settings, apps and etc..?

[ROM][Wifi][September 25]Omni 5.1.1

Summarized Standard Disclaimer: use at your own risk. I use it at mine
*Full wipe recommended if coming from another rom or Omni 5.0.2*
My personal Omni Rom 5.1 is based on omnirom with the following additions from CM11/12:
CM12 File Manager
CM11 Calculator (uglier but much more functional)
Bash shell
Nano text editor
CM12 discontinued Koush derived superuser
CM11 Forward ported custom host name
CM12 volume long press music track control
CM12 ad hoc wifi detection
CM12 camera power button shutter control
CM12 openssh command line utilities
CM12 custom quick settings
CM12 trebuchet launcher
The list of personal touches isn't very long right now but they include
Battery icon changes color based on percent: 0-15 red, 16-50 yellow, 51-100 green
Jelly bean style toasts
Android 4.x nav bar icons
Disabled SELinux at the kernel
Up to 1.6GHz CPU OC
Automatic 400MHz GPU OC
Not Working/Quirky
Bluetooth audio?? (can't test myself)
Stock camera randomly freezes. Just open it again
AOSP keyboard swipe doesn't work: google's fault.
Can't hear phone calls.
Flashing SuperSU might cause issues since the su daemon is started by the ram disk script since boot scripts apparently don't work.
Plugging in a charger when turned off causes the tablet to get stuck at animation loading
Everything else not listed as a quirk probably works.

No more p4tmo?
Sweet!
Just one thing... am I blind or you just forgot the download link for the ROM?
They're under the Downloads section.
this ROM seems nice and fast! Breathes new life to the grab. Can anybody point me to a different gapps pack? (Not so slim) I have tried out downloading several but was not able to flash any of the the .zips in twrp.

Keyboard is easily fixable by just flipping some switches in the settings.
Major problems
Hi!
I'm new with flashing Samsung devices but i have flashed other and i thought this can not be so hard..
But now i need your help!
I wipe the whole thing nothing left, i can get in to recovery and i can load zip-files to the tab, but it says i have a P4wifi and I don't. What have I done wrong and is there anything I can do to fix this and flash Omni 5.1 for 3G tab?
I downloaded the omni-5.1-20150330-p4-HOMEMADE so I must have done something before this, maybe when i rooted the tab?
If u don't understand my english writing feel free to ask so maybe I can explain myself.

Perhaps you flashed the wrong recovery? Try flashing the correct one and see what happens.

Found a old recovery file from 2012, flashed that with Odin, manage to install the rom, but not the gapps.
"Android is processing" so something is happening. I will just wait and see.
Maybe I did?
There are so many files circulation out there so I´m getting confused.
Maybe you can point me in the right direction?
I downloaded the wifi rom, but no luck with that.

First of all you need the 3G rom not the WiFi rom.
Download the recovery for your 3G tab from this post, flash it and see what happens.

Hi thanks for your help!
I did an edit in my earlier post, and now i manage to install the 3G rom.
So I got my Tab up and running.
But I appreciate your help very much because I got two tabs, i bought them yesterday for 500SEK (57 US$) from a friend at work.
And now I don't want to make the same mistake again.
