[Q] flashed wrong rom! - HTC Incredible S

Hello,
Today i flashed my incredible s, to the new android revolution HD, but i overlooked that and installed the desire hd rom. Now my recovery mode isn't working anymore to flash it back! Now i have downloaded the correct clockwork recovery file and renamed and updated it, but the phone still doesn"t go in recovery mode! how do i fix this?
thanks in advance!

Hmmm sounds like your current rom has a fastboot setting enabled which is not allowing you to go into your recovery but without being able to boot your phone up to disable it you might be bricked. I assume you are using the method of holding the volume down and power buttons together?

Take out the batter and put it in again, then try and hold power and vol -

Problem solved, downloaded the original rom, and then updated.

[Q] Can't boot into recovery mode

It doesn't seem possible to get my phone to boot into recovery mode. When trying to do so it goes to the four coloured X and then to a black screen, so the phone automatically switches off instead of booting into recovery. I need to press the power button to restart it.
The bootloader is unlocked and the phone is rooted if that could in any way affect it. I'd like to be able to use Clockwork to be able to make a back up.
Any ideas?
I don't know the reason but try the following. Install rom manager. From rom manager install an older version of clockwork an hit reboot into recovery from there.
No it might be going into recovery but you can't see it because you have an SLCD phone. Try flashing Among RA 1.8.0.1 or 1.9.0
Well, I'd downloaded rom manager before where it didn't work but now it seems to be working. I was able to flash ClockworkMod Recovery and reboot into recovery from rom manager. Not sure why it's any different now.
Anyway, hopefully it'll stay working. Many thanks for your reply

[Q] My Nexus One cannot access recovery mode

Sorry if this question is a disturbance. I tried to search for the solution for my problem about a week, but nothing comes up.
I'm a Nexus One new user. My problem is that I can't access recovery mode. I have rooted and installed flash recovery image to my phone. But when I access recovery mode from bootloader menu (surely pressing volume down + power), the logo X appears on the screen for few seconds, then, the screen goes blank. No recovery menu appears. I must press Home + Power to choose reboot or power down to start my phone again. I tried amon-ra v.1..7.0 to v. 1.9 and clockworkmod v.2.5.0.7, but my phone screen still goes blank. Now I'm in despair and don't know what to do. I want to change my rom, but I can't if my phone can't access recovery mode.
Anybody help me please.
I had the same problem after allowing Clockwork to access ROM in its submenu.
I used the following instructions to flashboot the recovery-RA-nexus-v.1.9.0-alpha.img
back into the N1 (blue care bear one).

You need to download the SDK too to do this, but I'm guessing you already have that
Try Clockwork 2.5.11. It's been updated to support SLCD Nexus Ones. You can flash it straight from ROM Manager.
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App

[Q] Reboot loop after setting to CPU 1.1Ghz

I had nadlabak CM7 installed on my Milestone, I saw there was a new version so I downloaded that to my SD.
While I'm at it I'm downloading the new OpenRecovery for Milestone and while I'm in OR I see an option to OC to 1.1Ghz. Let's try it ...
Not a good idea it seems since I'm stuck in a reboot loop. I can't get into the recovery menu via the 'normal' way: Hold x while boot, then hold up + camera.
I started with CM7 using the following method since I could never get into the recovery via the normal way: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=796679&page=26
Anybody have any tips ?
Any hidden key I don't know about to get into the recovery menu ?
Any other idea's ?
If your bootloader is older version than 90.78, the actual way to boot to recovery is to hold the camera button while powering-up the phone, not the x key.
My bootloader is 90.78
Any other idea's ?

Proper way is X + power, when triangle comes up, Vol DOWN + camera. I don't remember getting in with Vol UP. But I didn't use the combination for a while, it automatically reboots in AOR for me.
Anyway, if that doesn't work, replace Open Recovery folder and update.zip with new one, reflash the phone via RSDLite, and try again ^^.

Installing custom rom, on galaxy s gt-i9000, with a busted power button

Hi there i am relatively new to android modding and rooting etc. I recently tried to install Cyanogenmod to my phone and I succeeded, but the next day my phone began to restart itself, turns out that the power button is broken. We tried to repair it but ended up burning down the processors internal i/o (latch or whatever structure it has) with a faulty multimeter . Now i have to turn on my phone with a dock cable (with 1kohm res) which wakes up the phone, i can access the Download mode by plugging in the dock, and pressing home+down, but the recovery needs the power button signal too.
I can access the recovery by using adb commands, but i need to boot in. If i install a new recovery like CWM, i am stuck in a bootloop and i don't know if i can use the adb commands. Is there any other way to get into recovery mode, besides home+power+up, or adb commands?
Can i install CM onto the phone under these circumstances?
Thanks for any help given!
Not sure how you are going to select options in recovery as you need the power button unless you have Touch Recovery or TWRP recovery. Anyway use this app to boot to recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1423071

Well if i install a new recovery mod like clockworkmod then i'll be in one. That is why it is necessary to reboot in it so i can install the ROM.
Rather get your power button replaced.

[Q] Keep losing recovery

Hey guys. I keep losing recovery after a few days when I install a new Rom. It happened on when I was on 4.4.4 as well. I'm sure I'm missing a step. Any thoughts?? I would not have a problem if I had a computer. Also if there's any way to flash a recovery from the phone itself please let me know since I can't enter stock recovery too. The Led doesn't change color when the phone boots up so pressing volume buttons doesn't go into recovery. I tried using flashify and quickboot to enter recovery but it doesn't help. THERE IS NO RECOVERY. PERIOD
