Woking 1.5 and 1.6 vanilla ROMs.

I have been working on getting vanilla android to work on the Tattoo as I am not a big fan of all the modifications that HTC have done to their rom.
I am now launching the first usable version of the rom.
Phone calls and sms work, so does wifi, camera, gps and sensors.( thanks to fyodor)
Camera works only in android 1.6 I'll try it in 1.5 latter on today.
All aplications work.
Bluetooth and fm radio aren't working yet.
For the next release I'll be focusing on getting bluetooth to work.
The rom comes in two flavours :
ANDROID 1.5
ANDROID 1.6

this should be 120 i guess... try it & let us know what is the result....

They are the same modifications to init.rc that worked for the 2.1 rom but have no effect what so ever for 1.6 .
I might be missing something. I extract the boot.img and I add that line to the end of the init.rc file. Should I be doing something else too?
I'll try with 120 once I'm sure I'm editing it corectly.

You could start with the values from the stock HTC rom

Thanks mainfram3. Just got touchscreen to work.
I'm uploading now version 0.002.
So it seems that camera doesn't work, wifi, bluetooth and gps.
I suspect some would be fixed in the build.prop maybe someone else can check it out too. I'm calling it a night.
The rom feels very fast and finally a grey task bar.
Take it for a spin and see how it goes.

To fix WiFi you need to compile the proper driver against your kernel source or use HTCs kernel + their wlan.ko.
For bluetooth take a look at the files in /system/etc.
And gps is related to libgps.so

I am using the HTC kernel + their wlan.ko and I'm still not getting any results.

I'm still stuck at getting wireless to work. I even got android 1.5 and 1.1 working on the tattoo just for fun.

I just finished uploading the 1.5 rom. It has working wifi. I'm now working on getting wifi to work on 1.6 too and I'll upload that one later during the day.

Is 1.6 rom fully working?

Camera, gps, bluetooth and accelerometer aren't working yet.
Any help in getting them to work is highly wellcomed.

[Q] Sense 2.2 Equalizer?

Well so I flashed the Sense 2.2 rom based on the vodafone release yesterday and everything seems to work just fine.. However I can't seem to find a compatible version of DSP-settings This is really irritating since spotify sounds quite lame without it..
How do I install DSP-settings (or a similar app) on this rom? I just can't get it working, my legend freezer if I flash the dsp.zip that I used on the Azure rom.

I also tried to install the Equalizer from here:

I tried it with Rom Manager and i tried to copy the files manually, but when i replace the original libaudioflinger.so with the one from the DSPManager the phone freezes at the white HTC screen. :-(
The App itselfs starts with the originial libaudioflinger.so - but Settings of course don't have any effect because the libaudioflinger.so is not the modified one.
I hope someone can manage to make a working libaudioflinger.so - this would be awesome!
Update: I also tried to use the libaudioflinger.so from the newest stable cyanogenmod for Legend - but also no success....

Man this really sucks there has to be some version that works for sense 2.2. I mean seriously; dsp manager was freakin' sweet!! I can't understand why nobody seem to miss it...
Is there really nobody who knows how to get a working equalizer to sense 2.2 for the legend??

I tried to install the libaudoflinger.so with adb - no success!
When I put the libaudiofllinger.so on the phone via adb the phone doesn't boot up anymore!

Yeah I've got the same problem.. seems the file isn't compatible with the legend... I just can't believe the libaudoflinger.so that works on the Desire is that different from the one we have on our phones I mean both devices are running Sense 2.2...
Perhaps some awesome dev could save the day and take a look a the file?? *wink *wink* ;-) I mean it can't be that hard to port it to the legend and it would certainly make A LOT of people very, very happy

o.k. attached is a file with dspmanager and libaudioflinger.so from cm 6.1 on Legend (current rom)
Maybe Blayo can look at it to get it working on other roms??

Hi, i've an htc g1 that i use to send and receive sms, some call.. what rom could i use, that is faster than other ones? Now i've intalled superd 1.6, but it's very slow.. thanks!

Describe your setup of how you're using superd, what radio and spl, and did you flash a custom kernel of any sort?
I've never known anybody to call superd slow.
more details are always nice.

if radio/spl:2708,2805/1.33.0013,i suggest you flash the froyo by laszlo 5.2.it is awsome!

[Q] Flashed rom but voice calls not working

I S-off'ed, rooted and then installed [ROM] Android Revolution HD™ 1.1.5 on my cousins phone then left now he's txting me saying in voice calls the call goes threw but no one can hear him and he can't hear them...any ideas? This is on a Bell HTC Incredible S

Did you flash the recommended radio from the ARHD post since this is a Gingerbread ROM? If you rooted the BM IncS and it had the original Froyo 2.2 ROM on it, then you need to flash a GB compatible radio, the Froyo based radios will not work on GB Roms.

use the recommanded radio or the latest one and flash it , the problem should be fixed.

[Q] GB 2.3.5 / Sense 3.5 ROMs that support Skype video calls on Incredible S?

I'm a noob. Does anyone know of a custom ROM (GB2.3.5/S3.5) that supports Skype video calls? My front camera fails, although it functions otherwise. My Incredible S is a rooted Canadian Bell model shipped s-off. I'd also consider an unbranded stock ROM (GB2.3.5/S3).

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1384189 works for me fine. Just flash the HTC amaze app, and it will work. Look at the end of that hread.

Try coredroid Rom.. a perfect eye candy and a functions working .. but you need cwm recovery to flash that 4ext won't support..
