Hey
I've had my Mini for two months now and I've calibrated the battery at least 15 times and somehow I still get battery jumps (sometimes as high as 25% jumps)
Does anybody else have a problem with battery calibration??
Also, is it safe to leave the phone charging overnight or is there no charger protection in this phone??
Thanx

Hmm.i dont know about the charging protection but I think it had one

Thanx for your response, I'm noticing now that my battery's reporting wrong, I've tried 4 different battery tools and all of them report 4mV when they should report 4250mV (or something like that)
Is anybody else seeing this behavior??

Could you clarify this for me???.....'Cause I don't know what you're talking about
In my opinion too much calibration is not needed with liking battery
My problem is not due to excessive battery calibration, it's due to battery reporting errors, I keep seeing percentage jumps and the voltage is also wrongly displayed

Upgrade ROM maybe can solved that problem
And after installing new ROM calibrate again once!
I've had the same problem with 4 different ROMs (FroYo stock, GB stock, Andro-ID and CM7).
I'm starting to think that it's a physical battery problem
Hi i have an idea for better battery durability and reduce the heat emitted.i want to change the processor's clock speed.
I think that 1-1.2 ghz is enough for good performance but i don't have rooted my phone yet so could anyone try to change the clock speed and wrote what about the battery drain and heat emitted by cpu?
Thanks!

I'm so glad that you had that idea, because nobody else has EVER thought about doing that
How about you search the forum and look at one of the many, many threads where this sort of thing is discussed instead of asking us to write the same thing over and over again :banghead:
i didn't find anything about that if you can pls share link with those threads or whatever like this

ok thanks @danie.wro i have read whole topic and i guess does it this app useful?
i want use all 4 cores but clocking down theirs cores to 1gzh or 1.2ghz in term of battery saving and heat will be change anything for sure?
another question is regular that overnight my phone lost about 15-20% of battery doing nothing?
Try to use CPU-Tuner. I use that and it's very useful.
thanks you too, but this app is for rooted phone instead gearbox runs on no rooted phone too i tried quadrant benchmark and i had lower score, let we see if this change something in term of battery drain and heat emitted xD
ok i have tried and i have positive feelings the battery withstand more time about 15-20% with clock speed set on 1ghz and 4 cores, and power saver with 1 core on 1ghz, but the heat emitted by battery hasn't changed much...
I have a question does NFC take a lot of power?

I'm guessing by the facts that it has a lower signal range than Bluetooth it uses less power than Bluetooth but still is a considerably big battery consumer.
I just calibrated my battery (charged from 0 to 100% then delete batterystats.bin).
After 3 full cycles of charging from 0 to 100% here are some screenshots :

Is my battery ok? Because,i think it should last more than 6hours+ even if i played some games.
I`m using DjangoManoucheX 1.4. As for the CPU governor and scheluder i`m using SmartassV2 + Noop and brightness level is about 25-30 from 100.
Your battery is possibily damaged, you can check that by monitoring your battery mV (it should charge to 4200 mV). If it's going to 4190, 4180 etc and cannot reach 4200, damage is almost for sure.. 100% doesn't mean that your battery is fully charged.. It can be even below 4100 mV when it says 100%... mV is only real parameter for checking your battery health, and charging status..
One more tip: try with lagfree and row, and think about possibilty to change kernel also...

There are no problems,i check all the time the battery's MV when its fully charged and it exceed 4200.
As for the kernel i`ve tested some kernels, currently i`m using Kind of Brids 0.5 from Carburano so there should be no problems.
On kowalski/civz skywalker and the battery life was almost the same, almost no differences.
Thats why i`m asking if my batter life is ok with that usage.
PS: I can't use lagfree cuz it isnt included on King of Birds and it requires a complicated procedure to add it in the kernel and yeah i know that Lagfree is a battery saver governor but...you know
As for SmartassV2 + noop,my phone perform the best with these two,i tried to use onedemand + noop but i expected lag in some games.

Yeah, i know what you are talking about.. if u want your phone perform really fast, then u must live with fact that battery drain would be huge... that's all!
Cheers!

So it means that my battery its ok:laugh:
I really thought that i must replace my battery..even if i use to play games and use a performance governor + scheluder i still thought that my battery life its ending too early but it seems that its ok!
just a small thought about the battery....
My battery when charged reaches 4185-4190 at the max. Generally, I leave the charge to go on after the full 100% is shown.I still get around 2 days of battery with dual boot and Kob kernel + Civz Kernel with two different ROMs (light to moderate use)
But, frankly speaking, i dont think it is true to have a full charge beyond 4200....you can observe yourself, the moment you disconnect your device/charger, you see the values are around 4160+ - some value.
but, it is the way the battery then handles the discharge....ICS wifi drain is a known issue....if there are huge battery drain values observed by you....check with betterbatterystats for wakelocks....I have one link in my signature to know about the wakelocks.....if it is beyond that, then maybe it is time to change.....but it is important to make a couple of full charge/discharge cycles.....wait it reaches the least....switch off the device and switch on again....then make a full charge.two cycles like that will tell you the real story
then you can decide if you need to change
Hope this helps

Try to ask someone who works with that.. 4200 does mean real 100% and 3500 is 0%... if it doesn't go to exactly 4200 mV, it is damaged 99%. Now, damage is not same for every battery, some batteries lasts longer after that, some not.. If battery goes bellow 3500 mV, it causes damage of battery.. U can believe or not, but that is the true... I don't know many things about software, but hardware is my world..
Cheers!

Hello together,
first of all i want to excuse my english. Since last night i have a problem with my HTC One battery.
My device gets warm, while doing nothing. (i flashed a new rom and didn't insall anything / Viperone 6.1.0)
The batterylife is really low now, it's empty in about 3 hours and charges really slow. (nearly 4 hours now and 40%)
I installed the z-divicetest app and this is what i see:
Battery health: good
Maximum Chargelevel: 100%
Temperature: 41,30°C
Voltage: 3mV
I don't know what i should do now.. Maybe my battery is damaged? :/
Thanks for your help.
Try to use an other charger, maybe yours is broken.
That could explain your slow charging speed.
If even this doesn't help, the battery seems to be broken.
Sry for my bad english, greets from Germany :good:

must be some problem with something using your battery. that would also explain slow charge.
you can see what is using most power under settings > power > usage

My battery drain from 100 % to 96 % with 4 minutes of active screen??
My battery drain from 100 percent to 1 percent after 1 day usage with 6 hours on screen time. Please help. Oh wait batteries normally go down when in use.
Yeah, i'm still a bit neurotic with this :silly:
it depends, what are you doing with active screen? when i play coc my battery goes down fast.

Doesn't matter what he is doing. He cannot calculate the right consume of the battery just by see how long it go down 4%. The system did not set up properly yet and maybe he using at the same time, WiFi, Bluetooth and so on.
This thread is useless as there thousand out there.

You will need to see a complete cycle before you can assume that you have battery drain, like how much it goes down if left overnight, I personally only lose 1 - 2% overnight which is about right. But the second you fire up a game it will munch you battery, same as can be said for Wifi when downloading or setting up your phone, so if this is the first time you've used the handset, it's more than likely a little premature to say what your battery life is going to be like, give it a week and then see where your average 100% battery charge gets you, by all accounts a day and a half to two days is quite normal according to some users on XDA, but then that would depend on the user.
One thing I did find with the Z1 was that when gaming the average battery use is little higher than I was used to with previous phones.
You could try underclock your processor (I have clocked my processor at 1.5 Ghz) it will save you some battery. In addition you could try undervoltage but you must be extremely careful with voltages as very low could unstable your phone and very high can fry your phone (if you are newbie do not try it ).
These are some ideas it is your choice if you follow any of them not mine.
