Cyanogenmod & Miui 'suspend' process using to much CPU and Battery - LG Optimus 2x

Every 30 or so min when the phone is on standby the process suspend spikes the cpu to 100% over and over again.
Using cm_p990_full-168
Ive read the forums this problem existed before and its back or it was never fixed. Anyone found whats cosing the problem? Please share.
I did full wipe before installing and this is my first time trying cyanogenmod. Im seeing the process with Watch Dog. Never had this problem with any of the stock roms.
Ive tested the miui rom also it uses the same karnel and i think its karnel related because the same thing happens on miui rom. Anyone can point me to a custom karnel that i can try?
Tnx in advance.

Just because it also happens on MIUI does not neccessarily mean it is down to the kernel. MIUI is based on CM so could quite possibly just be a bug in CM.

Dont post this in the dev section, what do you think the Q & A section is for? AAARGH

Same problem anyone have solution??

Yes - BAN.

Mod, move this thread please.

I have this rom since 1 week no more. I got this issue since the start. Its totally random. I get this issue in the 7.2 stable so i tested nightly update and its the same. I think im not the only one who have this issue. No custom kernel

Make a clean install and read N00BY0815's The big NOOB how-to post #2, if you're able to make a logcat and report it in cyanogenmod page you may be able to help solving the issue.
The other option is flashing last boype's kernel from here over your CM7, it doesn't have SoDs or Freezes

Its not the samething then this mod on this page? http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?type=nightly&device=p970
Ill try a fresh install with this one
Try to install Huexxx kernel 4.0 with mod. I didn't had a single SOD in maybe 2 months
What kernel is the best? Huexx or boype kernel?
And can i flash a kernel on an other kernel?

I haven't try Huexxx, but boype's is fine, and you can flash just the kernel, yes
Oups, for flash kernel, i mean, can i flash huexx kernel on the boype kernel? Or i need to wipe data?
I used Huexxx and I never had an SOD (in 2 months).
You can flash on boype kernel, just wipe cache and dalvik cache
Thx for the info about flash
But i want an opinion of someone who used the 2 kernel
thx
Don't worry
Well, this happen to me too, I use CM7 since IDK, 2-3 monts and is my favorite ROM :good:
You don't have to remove the battery everytime you get freeze just press the power button for 10 seconds, aprox.
I don't know why this happen, I hope they can fix this bug soon, In some nigthlys I never had this bug.
Sorry for bad english
Zorth, i can press the button 1min and nothing happen. I really need to pull out the battery
Now im trying huexx kernel 4.1, boype kernel dont fix SOD problem
I find huexx kernel 4.1 very slow

The brick bug is there with every ROM that has Stock ICS Kernel.Kernels that have MMC_ECAP_ERASE command removed are safe but for some reason MIUI doesn't support these kernels :silly:
CM9 MIUI.Read the OP.Follow the instructions.

Though it seems you asked for an opinion on which one to use and it does appears that you did your homework and read up on both the main miui roms available at the moment, imo to say that there are to many complaints regarding them is a little unfair as there isn't a rom forum on here that doesn't in some shape or form have an compliant on whats not working or could be improved that's human nature.
As I really can not comment on the VengeanceNote Edition MIUI 2.8.3- v2.4 + Test builds version due the the fact that I'm not a big fan of cm9 but the rom developer (Gerrett) works very hard on improving it for being a test build (as the title suggest) so yes bugs are to be expected as in any rom. I personally do use the TMT-ver 2 and when properly flashed as per instructions it performs very well. Yes it does have a suspected kernel but being a long time miui user I flash mine from a relatively safe kernel , wipe cache, dalvik, format the system, factory reset then flash the rom and reboot, along with formatting my internal sd card and installing from scratch though it takes me a bit (1 hour or so) and everything works fine and it saves me a few headaches along the way, there are the standard things that miui themselves need to fix like the fc's in the About phone Status and in the Mobile Networks when you want to select Network Operators (these have been known issues since my S2 days) and few people have an issues with the theme manager but for me it does what I want it to. I get decent battery life being a semi-light user never less then a day and a half to 2. But it does vary on what I'm doing..
In the end to ask an opinion for what to use you'll get a variety of each individual who answers your post but what might work well for them may not apply to you and your phone so try what you like if it doesn't suit you then move on to another..

The BT bug is a known one, I'm not sure about the camera one and definitetly not the battery sucker one.
Boot into recovery and wipe data , cache & dalvik cahe.....
Flash ROM again and then see if the problem persists.
If it does, get Better Battery Stats (from the play store) and see if there are any battery draining apps/services running.
As for the speed problem, I've never run into it but a full-wipe should solve it ( full-wipe means wiping cache, dalvik cache and data )
Before flashing a rom read about it..
If want a ROM like Stock Jellybean I suggest you:
CaynogenMod10
OR
Paranoid Droid
If you want Galaxy Note's Official I suggest you
Ultimate_N7000_XXLSC_JBv5.1
OR
JB RocketROM

Any ROM without the camera bug?

Hello, i've been using gingerdx 31b for some time, and during that time I always have been experiencing the camera bug wich ive read around these forums, occurs on several different ROMS, the bug im talking about is the one where the camera turns black after taking several photos in a row (i generally cant take more than 3), wich is pretty bothering, so id like to ask you if there is any current ROM where this issue does not occur.
As I said, im currently running gingerdx 31b with alfs kernel, it is the only ROM I have ever tried as I dont have a lot of free time to test other ROMS.
Thanks.
There's a fix for this bug I think ,if I found the link to thread I'll post here

Random reboots into recovery

Hello xda
I know there quite a few posts out there with people detailing their phones rebooting randomly but my phone just hit a new level of weird.
My i9000 reboots randomly into cwm recovery menu for no good reason (I know there is another thread about this but that instance is on the Nexus S and the thread has basically died). This started occurring shortly after I flashed slim ROM 4.2.2 build 5 (came from CM10.1 nightlies). Flashing the rom again and updating it to build 6 has done nothing to alleviate the issue.
I'm using the Semaphore kernel with no OC or changed settings, and having recently bought a new battery, I'm really not sure where to start looking for the problem.
If anyone can give me some tips it'd be greatly appreciate, thanks in advance.

hi
randomly i will got this problem if i m flashing backward. like from 4.2.2 - 4.2.1, or 4.1.x to 4.0.x. or repeatedly changing between kernel (i always do this to modified ROM to suits my settings n need) its probably due to changing partition in system or kernel clash (even i did all wipe) in internalsd.
Sorry to say. it will come worst sometimes if u ignore da problem or keep flashing ROM to avoid it. 'Luckily' about 2 hour ago my sgs just did. Constantly booting to recovery n its juz bootloop between kernel splashscreen n sgs white splashscreen after it.3 combo button will not working for recovery n only download mode accessible.
no more method for me . Juz flashing back to stock firmware JVU +CF-ROOT with odin was da answers
but if u dont familiar with odin.seek guide here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2149455
but use it as ur last method!
clashing between titan.....no! kernel maybe da reason.do some wiping before changing kernel or ROM. n format system if necessary before flashing!

Reboots into CMW with Slim Bean 4.3 and Semaphore
Hi guys, any news on the subject? Exactly the same thing happening to me. I did a clean installation of Slim 4.3, after using CM10 and everything seems to be working perfectly except it reboots into CWM every 1-2h!!! I haven't changed any configuration and didn't mess with the kernel that came with the ROM, which is Semaphore... Is it a kernel issue? Should I try to flash the latest version?

I run into the same problem with my current update of my I9000 to CM 10.2.1 and the Semaphore Kernel 3.3.0 (JB).
Any ideas on this issue from the pros?
I realized that it was happening to me only when I was loosing the network coverage, like being in the underground or roaming or things like that... I don't know if it happens to everyone but in my case it's definitely this. If there is no network available my phone will boot into recovery after a while. If the signal is OK, it doesn't happen. Maybe it has something to do with the modem?!
