[Q] SEMCHOME.APK problem E16i

as I title it..
my problem is semchome.apk always force close after restarting my phone yesterday...
semc.apk is cool launcher with 4 corners...(on stock rom.. android 2.1)... PLEASE HELP ME!! I DON'T WANT CUSTOM ROM..
P.S: >I will feel very thanksful to those who help me...

Already but STILL force close after 2-3 moment after use the phone...

Is it your stock launcher?

I already try for the third time.. And now... pc companion say that my phone is already have latest software.. and cant be fixed... I try using seus to back to stock and have the same problem...(I have the latest software on seus same as pcc)

Try once again using pcc. When it says that u already have the latest software, click repair.

first flash alfs kernel and use Ginger dx...I'm also a w8 user I will help u all the way message me If any problem happens

what do u mean by that... mine is 12v07.. how can I unlock bootloader... if I do so I will hard brick my phone and wait 1 month on SE service center... so there any way to solve my problem?

By the way. U re on rooted stock rom now? Or what?

use flash tool find the w8 file thats not been moded or the x8 file will do flash it ,,,to your phone do the necessary procedure indicated too ,,, it will solve your problem ,, hit thanks if i help

dl ftf file pls do read the procedure ,,, on how to use flash tool cause if i post it hire the devs may see it
but hires a good way to start copy the ftf file both the two after you extract it and find the folder of your flashtool after you install it and place the file on the folder firmware I forgot but its firmwares as i recall

is it just firmware of 2.1update1 for w8?

Coz ur phone is not rooted, the only thing u can do is use flashtool, pcc or seus. I ve tried the new seus from se and it works just fine.

You might also want to try the Xperia Active Launcher instead. It also uses the four corner system, but even better than the stock launcher.

How to Unlock Bootloader in Xperia x8 11w48 ?

Is there any way to unlock the Bootloader without bricking it ?
I want to install GingerDX on it and change the kernel and so.
I have now GingerXperia v10, android version 2.3.7, and Kernel Version 2.6.29 [email protected] #1
What I need is to make my android smoother because it's so slow with the GingerXperia, so I thought it would be better if I get GingerDX or anything else but keep the 2.3.7 version.
Any Ideas ?

Even if you can't unlock you're phone.. gingerdx for stock is available..
To unlock above 11W29 you'll have to pay.. and it's quite risky for the ones above 11W35..

But if I keep it with stock kernel will it be faster and smoother than the GingerXperia V10?

I have sony ericsson xperia E15i with date code of 10w37....Is the bootloader is safe to unlock???

I think it is safe to unlock your bootloader. The ones which get hardbricked are the models which have 11w29 + manufacturing date

and does each and every rom of X8 out in the market is supported by w8 or not....i mean there are hardly any rom for w8 only....what if i install those roms made for x8 in w8....as my w8 has model number E15i in its back under the battery

Yes EVERY rom for x8 works with w8 as well

bro i have xperia x8 with 11w43 ...i unlocked my bootloader ..and guess what poooff ....xperia x8 hard brick ....so read carefully before you try something .....

Of course and you had hardbrick your date is 11w43, which is 11w29+.
maruna2047's date is 10w37.

well if you flash the whole ftf of course it will work becuse you will be back on the last firmware..but if you want to saty on the new firmware, then yes, flash the kernel...

just use flashtool, and flash only kernel.sin...untick other file..and untick wipe option if u dnt want lose any data..

Yes if you are flashing the official stock Sony kernel. Just give it a try and see

yup..its possible since its stock kernel by sony..i been doing this couple time with my previous device..its fine, :good:..but, anything u dne wrong, dont blame me..

Well, the problem is next .. Brother was doing something with Flashtool, he connect the phone chosing FlashMode and sems he chosse Firmvare for Xperia x10, he forgot' to put x8 firmware in flashtool folder of firmware..
Now, the phone wont enable. Can't do anything, can't connect it on my computer Any solutions for this? Please guys if someone know, write me what to do.
The phone is next : Sony Ericsson E15i Xperia x8 mini one..

use jtag for hardbrick

if your phone is not getting detected by pc in flashmode try unistalling your device from computers n restart ur pc... den install sony pc companion , in that go to update n then repair your phone and follow instructions .. try these steps again again... n remove your phone battery ,while connecting in flash mode u keep battery into phone... all the best

Because you look like flashed a custom kernel that don't have the WiFi and Bluetooth files. So that's why. If you really did that or deleted the files in system/etc/firmware/wlan/prima try to flash stock ROM again.

Just go to Update Service within Pc companion. There must be an option Repair my phone or something. it will do a clean install of the os. Beware - it will wipe all data on phone so backup first.
