Is the app called Theme Chooser Themes the same as what comes with Cyanogenmod? If so, does it work on any custom ROM? Heard there is an ICS themes out for it and I would love to have it.
This probably only works with AOSP roms, but I'll give it a shot and see what happens.
EDIT: This app just helps you find themes.

Is includes ROMs based on CyanogenMod and CyanogenMod.
Some of them, yes… I'm running the Liberty RC1 (no bugs like the CM7 alpha build), and Theme Chooser isn't cooked in. I tried to install it manually, but it's a no go. I'm sure it will get put in eventually, but it's still kind of a bummer not to have it.

The two links above go to two themes that I'd like to use. They were meant for the Samsung Moment. I know that the Hero and Moment have the same screen resolution, but would anything else factor in into using these on the Hero?
If so, would anyone be able to port both/either or?
Thanks in advanced.
.The second theme was created for our hero running CM by gommorah (don't know if I spelled it right). But is no longer being maintained. If you look for Asimmons theme injector you can you update it merge it into your rom and flash it from recovery. I actually ran it and it works well.
You can try and see what it looks like

I just wanted to say thank you! I love the theme... I have been on EE03 since it came out (thank you to ACS and the whole team over there) and I was coming from the Cynox theme on EC05 (which I loved)(thank you IMPuLSe EX) and this is right in that same vein. I also wanted to attach some screenshots and also mention that when I flashed the TW Lockscreen (here)(thank you p3dr0maz) I got a pretty cool result! (Screenshot also attached)
EDIT: I attached screenshots after flashing 2.1, the new SMS/MMS icon and Phone icon are great, and the Dialer is really sharp!!!
EDIT: I attached screenshots after flashing 2.2, the few things that were updated are fantastic. In the notification drawer the sound/vibrate toggle is fixed (AWESOME), there is a very cool new blue glow on the bottom drawer bar (also AWESOME) and the keyboard looks outstanding!!!
Lame question of the day cause I've never really had to ask.... How do you "undo" a theme once you flash it? Or can you?
I do have one question/request...
Any chance we could get a black & blue Messaging icon and Phone icon?

Backup before hand. You can just flash another theme/rom but that can be hit or miss as it could have things it doesn't replace. Backup is best bet.

Make a Nandoid backup to restore if you don't like the theme you flash. Otherwise flash the ROM again to reset it.

Yes, once i have the phone.apk and mms.apk themed the new icons will be there too. Im not sure if i will get everything done before an official gingerbread comes out. Most of the work i have done so far i will have to do all over again when that comes out so no promises for EE03

we list releases for what they are intended for in the thread title...so where it says (Miuiwiz) that means it for miuiwiz, not cm7...if it says (cm7) in the title then it would be for that

yeah, i thought this was something simple enough to do (although it wasnt as easy as i thought ) just to give some options for the miuiwiz users
Since CM7 now is more or less stable for daily use, I think it's time we have some CM7 themes to dress up the phone? Most if not all themes currently available is exclusively for the Modaco ROM. It would be greatly appreciated by me and the lot of CM7 users (Believe me, we are quite a few ) if these themes are ported to CM7 and also, if new themes are also done. I understand CM7 is not even in RC stages yet but as I have read, there have been RC's that have been less stable than current O2X Nightlies. I also tried Theme Choose themes and they do not tailored for the O2X screen size and they appear odd.
I do not expect them to turn up overnight but some slow progress would be indefinitely better than no progress. That's all I'm saying. Thank you for your time.
yes, theme chooser is a nice feature, but the problem is this themes don´t contain everything shown in framework ...
i think it will be better to "old school" theme framework-res.apk & SystemUI.apk for a better look !

Honeybread is a HDPI theme, so I guess you can use them with the nightlies.

Default theme is the stock framework. If you want a good base theme, search for a template on xda. If you are themeing a rom you will need framework-res systemui and other. The second best way is to make a theme and then use the line
Code:
persist.sys.themeId=
persist.sys.themePackageName=
in your build.prop to make your theme by default on install

I have the exact question as the OP so I took a look at the CM10 template in your signature. When I install it as is, without any modifications, I get an error saying theme was compile incorrectly and to contact the developer. Any idea why? I'm on latest version of XenonHD (4.2). Thanks.

Thank you for the suggestion. I've tried applying the system theme, rebooted, and tried re-applying the empty template theme but it still results in a "This theme was improperly compiled and cannot be applied. Please report this incident to the theme author." error. Maybe CM10 themes don't work on JB 4.2 roms?
