The two links above go to two themes that I'd like to use. They were meant for the Samsung Moment. I know that the Hero and Moment have the same screen resolution, but would anything else factor in into using these on the Hero?
If so, would anyone be able to port both/either or?
Thanks in advanced.
.The second theme was created for our hero running CM by gommorah (don't know if I spelled it right). But is no longer being maintained. If you look for Asimmons theme injector you can you update it merge it into your rom and flash it from recovery. I actually ran it and it works well.
You can try and see what it looks like
What rom are you running?

You can run asimmons theme injector with any theme and any rom but it only ports what matches from the theme
Gommorah moved on to the evo so he's not. Updating the theme

Sorry if it's in an obvious place, but I've been searching a better part of the day for a compatible buuf metamorph theme. I read someone's post a few weeks ago about how they had used it. I found an xda link but it was only flashable for cm roms (I'm running celb) and it just gave me a boot loop. I even tried mm versions for other phones just to try with no avail. If there is one compatible for the eris could someone gimme a link?
TIA

I have a buuf metamorph for the Sprint Hero using Fresh, but I can port it to another ROM.
Just spending time on updating my Buufed ROM right now.
If there is enough interest I'll give it a go.
That would be VERY awesome of you! It would be great to be able to theme my CELB rom with that instead of just "blue or pink."

It's the Cyanogen ErisLightningBolt rom by Conap.
even the buuf icons found in the market for free & are a nice addition to a buuf rom as well as many other themes

Would love this!
I see it was long ago, but does anyone still have that buuf theme? I got some icons off market, but I have seen there is some missing. Wallpapers, keys and such. Would be great!
I ported the theme from Tazz's Buuf theme from his older 2.1 rom to one of his Froyo versions. It's not difficult using Daneshm90's ThemePorter. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=737526
If you can't figure it out, let me know, I have done a few. I can do one now in like 10 minutes or something as long as I have everything I need downloaded. You'll also need to sign the rom after you are finished. If this is beyond your level of expertise, I can do one for you. Just let me know what version of the rom you are using. We can use Crunchy's theme too on whatever rom, as it might be a little more in depth now than the original port that Tazz used.
Thanks! I do not yet know much about signing...It is on "the list". I'm gonna give it a wack first at reading though. May very well take you up on the help however.. I am a bit behind in things. I really appreciate ya spreading the good stuff around! Make sure to have an easy day!

This is the program that I use to sign the roms: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=473580 . The guy that made this tool is the same one that made Metamorph and Ninjamorph. He's a beast. There is also this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=471634 or if you have a MAC then there is this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=573498 If you wanna chat, you can hit me up on gTalk - [email protected] . Later.
I've been using Celb Froyo since I rooted my phone but have never messed with themes. Is there a good repository of themes that will work on it and if so are they easy to swap around? Thanks for any help.
I've found it's kinda hit and miss.
Currently I'm using Gomorahs BlackMod theme for the Hero on my Eris, works great. However, he upgraded the theme and the newest version kept giving me bootloops, and he's now run off with his EVO and no longer supporting the Hero.
I also tried Simplistic and had no problems with that one.

Download metamorph and busybox (if you don't already have them). Metamorph will create a folder on your sd card called AndroidThemes. Download a theme from this forum and move it to that folder. It doesn't matter if this theme is specifically for a certain Froyo rom AS LONG as it is for an Eris Froyo rom. CREATE A NANDROID FIRST. Open metamorph and follow the instructions. If you don't like the theme, morph another one or restore your nandroid.
There are several themes out there for Froyo roms. If I remember correctly, the pink theme has to be flashed from recovery instead of morphed (don't hold me to that). As long as you have a nandroid you can always revert if you have problems.

Thanks. I downloaded Metamorph and the Simplistic theme but it's being a pain.
Sometimes you have to flash a theme a few times to get everything to stick.

I am using the transparent chaos theme with CELB and it works out pretty good. You may have to flash it a few times though

All thats needed is a port of theme, not the whole rom. Use the theme injector and try to inject darkfroyo and Monochrome for nexus one into CM6.1. This should create something close

There are a few tiny bugs that i know of but everything works. The biggest is vibration on/off in the pull down menu works but the button doesnt switch on off. (EDIT SQUASHED) The rest really arent bugs just small visual things that bug me.
The usual disclaimer
I am not responsible for anything that happens to your phone, flash at your own risk!
DO NOT flash on anything but EE03 with noCIQ
I have only used this on the stock EE03 rom, If your using ptfdmedics beta-ish midnight 6.0 please post how it works for others to read. I guessing it should work fine(EDIT WORKS FINE)
Instructions
no CIQ required follow flashing instructions for that here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1082783
Once the rom and nociq are flashed then flash like any other theme
wipe cache 3x
wide dalvic 3x
flash theme and enjoy
always backup before flashing

I just wanted to say thank you! I love the theme... I have been on EE03 since it came out (thank you to ACS and the whole team over there) and I was coming from the Cynox theme on EC05 (which I loved)(thank you IMPuLSe EX) and this is right in that same vein. I also wanted to attach some screenshots and also mention that when I flashed the TW Lockscreen (here)(thank you p3dr0maz) I got a pretty cool result! (Screenshot also attached)
EDIT: I attached screenshots after flashing 2.1, the new SMS/MMS icon and Phone icon are great, and the Dialer is really sharp!!!
EDIT: I attached screenshots after flashing 2.2, the few things that were updated are fantastic. In the notification drawer the sound/vibrate toggle is fixed (AWESOME), there is a very cool new blue glow on the bottom drawer bar (also AWESOME) and the keyboard looks outstanding!!!
Lame question of the day cause I've never really had to ask.... How do you "undo" a theme once you flash it? Or can you?
I do have one question/request...
Any chance we could get a black & blue Messaging icon and Phone icon?

Backup before hand. You can just flash another theme/rom but that can be hit or miss as it could have things it doesn't replace. Backup is best bet.

Make a Nandoid backup to restore if you don't like the theme you flash. Otherwise flash the ROM again to reset it.
Nm 10char....
hmmm...i seem to have flashed this theme but i dont seem to get that background that is seen in the screenshots above. everything else seems to be working. Any thoughts on what i might have done wrong?

Yes, once i have the phone.apk and mms.apk themed the new icons will be there too. Im not sure if i will get everything done before an official gingerbread comes out. Most of the work i have done so far i will have to do all over again when that comes out so no promises for EE03

Is the app called Theme Chooser Themes the same as what comes with Cyanogenmod? If so, does it work on any custom ROM? Heard there is an ICS themes out for it and I would love to have it.
This probably only works with AOSP roms, but I'll give it a shot and see what happens.
EDIT: This app just helps you find themes.

Is includes ROMs based on CyanogenMod and CyanogenMod.
Some of them, yes… I'm running the Liberty RC1 (no bugs like the CM7 alpha build), and Theme Chooser isn't cooked in. I tried to install it manually, but it's a no go. I'm sure it will get put in eventually, but it's still kind of a bummer not to have it.
