Hello Gents first post on this awesome forum I use once a day, I have exactly 5.67 in ebay dollars and I am wanting to invest in a screen protector from ebay. I have very little experience with various type of screen protectors and I am trying to find the ideal candidate. I do not want either a mirror or full body skin, I do however like the look of this "matte" and I feel it was a screen protector I had once before but am not sure. I am looking for something very smooth and under 5.67 on ebay! Will look at any reply exceptions made on price but cheap is key.
Most generic screen protectors are the same; they're just clear. The problem with them is that the cut outs are usually a little off if you get a cheap one. SGP probably makes the best ones that I've used but they're expensive.
Always heard good thing about sgp.I think they are about 10dollars on ebay.
In the past I've used momax (shop.momax.net) and liked it (but it was on non touch devices), but I don't know if they are available on ebay.
sgp make great screen protectors but theirs do not cover all of the phone and leave a gap from the bezel to the screen you can try other companys such as clearivue or skinomi

Guess there are many on ebay, and I guess momax have one too.
i`m just curious, what for do you need screen protector? i didnt use none since ive bought NS and there is not even one scratch.
This won't really help your budget, But here's my 2 cents
I just bought a zagg invisible shield screen protector the other day. I got the full body, back and screen protector. I have yet to apply the back cover, but im actually very impressed with the product so far. I got it at best buy, and paid 5$ for the girl there to apply it.
I treat my phone well but damn I have to buy a screen protector now because my screen somehow feels grainy as hell almost like my fingerprints actually scratched the screen really annoying this phone is quite new as well I ordered the clarvious one or however its spelled hopefully fixes this problem
Do you know ZAGG invisible shield? I think it is one of the best screen protector for our nexus s
U can tried idefence screen protector. Since it cover all your phone body to ensure maximum protection. It also much cheaper than zagg..

I got a matte screen protector free with a case I bought. I have never liked screen protectors before because of the air bubbles being such and issue and the extra glare on the screen. When I got my Nexus S I really wanted to protect it so I put the matte screen protector on it and it fit really well. I think it makes the screen oddly blurry at some angles but for me I really like the matte effect and prefer it to glossy screen protectors I tried on other phones and the matte is easier to read in the sunlight over the glossy ones..

I had ZAGG invisible shield on mine since I bought it (about a year ago) and it worked like a charm. However, I took it off about a week ago because of a post I saw about how it makes the screen less vibrant. Having the invisible shield on it really reduced how clear and vibrant the screen was. Now that i took it off, it looks like a totally new phone
Look at what the mailman brought to me today. I may have waited for some time to get this but it's still worth it for only USD7. It's now installed and ready for use again. I can finally let go of my capdase case and screen protector. A good alternative to Zagg. I got one before for my I9003 but it totally sucked! This one's way better.

I use Realook on my vibrant and love it..
However, the review on Amazon about Realook on NS is not that good..
So I am wondering which one I should use..
PS. I want clear one, but not the ZAGG orange peel feelings...
I've been using Best Skins Ever for awhile for most of my stuff and it does the job, but if you have the money, Skinomi is a very nice product.

I've had the Skinomi Techskin Carbon Fiber for about 3-4 weeks now.
You can view the webpage here:
http://www.skinomi.com/sk5455-motorola-droid-3-carbon-fiber-skin-protector.html
I really like it. It took a few days for it to settle in (and by that I mean for the corners to not pick up every little speck of fluff in your pocket) but since then it is amazing. It has a pretty nice texture to it (it's not smooth); it feels like actual woven carbon fiber. It also came with a clear front screen protector, which is just as good as the InvisibleShield minus the orangepeel effect.
Here is an awesome montage of pics, courtesy of my 3DS:

Great pics. I have the same exact skin sitting in its package on my computer desk at home, but unfortunately I've been sending back every single Droid 3 I've owned due to one problem or another. I'm receiving my 10th replacement tomorrow and hopefully this one won't be a ****ter. I love the texture on this skin and I seriously can't wait to put it on my phone.
Question for you; did you use a blow-drier during any part of installation? I read that it's a good idea to use a blow-drier on the corners when first installing so they don't flip back up.
Nope, never used a blow drier. There was only one part that kept peeling up (the bottom of the screen half of the phone, under the capacitive buttons, on the chrome part). What I did was just held it over my lighter until it stayed down.

I'm a big fan of Skinomi Products as well. They are affordable and make a solid protector. I have the screen protector on my XT860 and also used them for my Desire Z. I like that their protectors are 'smooth' and the screen retains the 'glass' feel. Invisible shield was a bit thick and felt unnatural on a touch screen.
Anyone ordering from their website can use this generic promo code for 25% off: skinomi25. I would also recommend searching amazon as many times they are cheaper there.

Yeah, skinomi25 works, I used it. I think that the price averaged around $15 for Amazon which is the same as with the 25% off but you get a lifetime warranty.
I'd say the material is the same "soft" screen protector material but Skinomi's is much better since it doesn't have the orange peel effect on the screen and it's not "sticky" either like Zagg's InvisibleShield.

x2. I've used Skinomi protectors since I got my original Droid a couple years back. Just picked up the kit for my XT862 and everything fit perfect. The surface is much more durable than any of the sub $5 products offer. Worth every penny.
I've got one of these on my GS3 and I love it. Does anyone have one for their N7 yet? I'm thinking about getting one.

Ultra Fine or Ultra Crystal?!?!
Im having a hard time to choose one,,,
Been using the ultra crystal on my evo lte and I'm sticking with it..
Been on for a month, not a mark on it, looks just like the glass and nice n slick.
Should get this tomorrow I believe so I'll put up a pic.
Sent from my EVO using xda premium
Got mine in the mail today. I installed an ultra crystal and it fits well. I've used SGP films before, including ultra oleophobic, optics and fine as well as glass.t, but this was my first crystal. The film fits well, but I feel a little more friction than the glass surface. It also seems slightly less prone to fingerprints than the glass below but requires markedly more effort to remove fingerprints when they're on the film. This is consistent with my experience with oleophobic screen protectors as well.
Ordered the Ultra Crystal a few days ago, but it'll take about a week to get here in the UK. Ill post up some pics when its installed.
I highly recommend the ultra fine. My wife has one on her GSIII. They are vastly improved over their older oleophobic films in terms of clarity and feel good under your finger.
At first it will have a little more resistance then the glass. After a day of use and a couple wipedowns it will be smoother.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
Been waiting for their Nexus 7 release. Just ordered the Ultra Fine from their eBay store. I have an Ultra Oleophobic on my Galaxy Nexus and absolutely love it. Best screen protectors out there imo.
Anyone get their yet and have some installation, fit, quality, suggestions, opinions, feedback, etc?
I've got mine, It's awesome. Ultra Crystal, btw.
Fit is very good. Very minimal gap between the protector and the bezel. In fact you can only really tell on one side, and you have to look pretty hard.
Really the only giveaway is the cutout for the camera. if it didnt have that you wouldn't even really be able to tell it's there.
Install went fine. Had one spec of dust. So i pulled the protector back up using a piece of scotch tape, then used the stickers they provided to get it stuck to the sticker instead of the protector. Laid it back down, and perfect.
It has a little more drag then the screen for a day, but at this point, finger glides across like nothing and it isn't to bad to wipe down when its full of prints either.
best thing over the wet installs are the smoothness, looks and feels like glass, no orange peel.

I've always loved the Ultra Crystals. Just be aware, as with most or all screen protectors of this variety, they show smudges and finger oils like mad!
SGP is shipping an Ultra Fine. It is supposed to be a matte film that helps reduce fingerprint smudges. Ill throw some pictures and my thoughts when I get it on.

Can't wait to get mine. Ultra Crystal is what I've been waiting for.
Honestly, I used to buy these because they worked great. Although after one day I went to Frys and got me a 6$(Cellet/Qmadix) screen protector for my phone I don't notice the difference.
So for the N7 I went to amazon(since the device wasn't out at the time and bought) the CrazyOn ones for 5$. Works just like my SGPs maybe even better since after awhile my SGP would get bruised and it won't self heal. Just sharing my experience since SGPs are pretty pricey.
Just ordered the Crystal Clear. I've never used screen protectors before, but thought I'd give it a shot on the Nexus 7 as I've seen reports that it scratches easily. Will probably take forever to get it shipped to Norway as I didn't feel like paying an extra $30 to get it quicker.
I've been a big fan of the SGP/Spigen Steinheil screen protectors for some time, having used InvisibleShield, and many others.
I installed the Crystal Clear version on my N7 yesterday and it is exactly as expected. Precise cut and the same feel as I've experienced with their other protectors. (various iPhone models, Galaxy Tab 7, etc)

I have to say, I am HEAVILY disappointed with this one.
It feels like I am roughing up on a ashy persons' elbow. The screen is so abrasive with it on, as when I immediately set it down on the cleaned screen, dust was already stuck on it. I have done several phones (mine, dad's, employee's at work) and never run into something this bad.

It's the only brand I use now, and it comes with all of the cleaning supplies. It's a bit messy looking (wet install), but within 3 days it will be the best screen protector installation you can imagine. Clear, fits perfectly every time, and no dust issues.
Anyways, I'm done with the old dry adhesive protectors. They aren't worth the free shipping they come with.

I always have a screen protector on my Android phones, and the phones of everyone in my family. But, I've got a slim leather case for my N7 so I am not convinced I need a screen protector. If you have a case, you might consider foregoing the protector.
Besides, I've used just about every popular protector on the market on my phones, and have even purhcased the 3M film from bulk that most companies use, to make my own protectors. Given all that, I've yet to find a protector that does not compromise the display, or the touch, in some way. Bare glass is best for me.
does anyone know if Best Buy or local electronics stores (Los Angeles Area) sell screen protectors that fit the Nexus 7? Possibly screen protectors for the Kindle Fire HD (same 7" screen) work on the Nexus 7?
dont know if this comparison chart will help but I am going overseas on Monday and need a screen protector asap!

No, it doesn't. It's merely mentioned as "scratch resistant" glass, but does not specifically say Gorilla Glass at all. There has been a lot of talk about this when it first came out, and I believe it was confirmed to not be Gorilla Glass. This is one product I would prefer to put a screen protector on it for that reason.
Bummer.
I use a case with a screen cover, but still have a screen protector on there. Guess I'll keep it on there.
It is not named gorilla glass, but I can tell you it is rated with the same quality (quoted from Google support), even with that said I still rock a zagg shield on mine

If anyone has feedback on this product, would love to hear your story. Picked them up, figured even if not perfect, the price was right.
I guess they got swarmed, I had it in my cart, 10 minutes later when I attempted to check out, it said sold out. Would appreciate impressions though from those that bought it, once it arrives. I'm curious how smooth these feel, as well as whether the sides and corners are rounded or sharp.

Just got a warranty replacement yesterday and I had already picked two of these up dirt cheap during the sale. Just ordered 2 as of today! Summer85 gets you the Spartan Protector for $6!
Just recently got my tempered glass. Very happy with it, almost feel as if its smoother than the screen itself, and fingerprints wipe off much easier Was really easy to install, would buy again!
Impressed with it. Works well.
Got mine today (ordered 2 with the 85% code).
Pretty quick and painless install, and the best part is the protector seems pretty fingerprint resistant (which was my biggest annoyance with plain screen.)

Garbage compared to a tempered glass protector. Trust me get the glass and u'll be happy
That's a poor reflection on XtremeGuard. Most plastic protectors are not as good as tempered glass ones.
I can vouch for XtremeGuard's full body protection. I had the rear protector which is a wet install product. It was top notch to be fair, easily as good as bigger more expensive brands like Zagg. I only removed it as I got a good deal on a SlickWraps matte feel rear protector.
For the money, XtremeGuard always offering high discount, you can't go wrong.

Agreed, but some people don't want a tempered glass protector.
I for one LOVED the feel of my xtremeguard. I actually dropped something right on the screen of my phone (a large lithium ion battery) and it make a giant nick on surface.
I was filling out the forms for getting my phone replaced via HTC Advantage, and at the last moment before submitting I decided to just peel off the protector and see how badly the glass was damaged, since I was returning it anyway.
Turns out the ding looked like it went through on the glass, but it was entirely on the screen protector!
Saved my phone! I had the full body, and I loved the feel of the gloss back. It made it just sticky enough to be easier to grip and didn't spoil the look of the phone at all. Fantastic, and for the price? it's a complete no brainer. Last time they had this sale I bought five, and I don't regret buying that many at all. It's amazing.
Wow thanks for the post. Been looking for a screen protector. I ordered their tempered glass and the full body wrap (Just in case I dont like one or the other) for a total of $7.65 shipped! Glad I didn't spend 2-3x that last week Cheers
I have used xtremeguard now for the second time (first time was on a phone I had to get replaced due to a defect)...I personally use it for the protection between the phone and any case I install...I work in a dusty environment and it really helps protect from stuff rubbing into the aluminum body and scratching it...awesome product.

Great idea, thanks. Going to use the back from the full body protector (under my case), and the tempered on the front!
Have the glass protector on my phone right now. Feels just like the GLAS.t on my Note 3. Tried taking a key and knife to it, and it left no scratches. Granted I did not press down super hard, but enough to simulate something more than normal. Would recommend especially with their massive discounts.
I have their wet install screen protector on now and have had it since I got the phone. Works good, just like any other wet install screen protector. I have tried alot of different ones, and they are all about the same to me.
Here's a video of it on the device
Got it on mine. Doesn't smear, applies easy and looks invisible. Top notch especially for the price. (I got them on the 90% offer)
