Hy guys.
I have a problem with my camera, samsung galaxy mini. i can't use it.
When i open the camera apps, suddenly appear
"Camera failed errorcallback.on error (-2)"
Is there someone who can help me??

I went to samsung service centre at Jakarta, Pondok indah.
And they say, there was hardware error (IC). lucky i'm still garanted.

hi everyone if anyone can help me then pls resolve this thanks in advance.Everytime the camera hardware button is pressed to start Camera on my Milestone ...i get a blank screen screen&then says the app wants to forceclose.Happening for the last two days now.All games,all applications based on the phone,the photo album...same issue and also i removed the memory card the applications are working fine now but the camera still had the blank screen pls help me i love my stone

Did you rooted your phone? What ROM is installed on your phone or do you still have the stock version? Please give us more details...
format your memory card.
if it still doesnt work, wipe data..
hi i rooted my phone then applied cm6 before got released the 2.2.1 version after that the camera stopped working ..then tried getting back to stock and it still doesnt work :-(

as the user above suggested...you should do a full wipe...flash a stock 2.1 sbf via RSDlite and your problem should be fixed...
if it still doesnt work after doing these....than it means your problem is not a software problem...it could be a hardware problem!

On Android 2.3.4, run into this issue just recently. Have tried any solutions possible but all failed. Help!

I have same trouble...need help....
I would like to suggest u to go for either one of the solution u like ->
1.try using a third party camera app like miui camera etc
OR
2.try using another roms

1. I have already try another application, but still doesn't work,
2. I have already flash Firmware, custom rom still doesnt work.
3. change SD Card, format, doesn't work,
Until now...I think the must go to Samsung customer service....

download flash tool and flash stock rom
u can search it on developer forun maybe on page 1 or 2 or 3
or you can use SEUS as the alternative, i never use PCC BTW, for me its really useless.

I used Script SuperChargers, Because we have low RAM on our device, and Android 2.3 is very aggressive on memory management, closing any application that is in the background, such as music player, streaming music, to let free RAM. But in practice this does not happen very well. and when i used this script my phone reboot auto and it doesn't start again. now i flashed official firmware on my phone and its work. thanks guys.

B more specific (lyk have u flashed sum custom rom as well or any other tweaks or modds, Which method u used to root ur cell)
maybe it would b caused by Software Issue,
(reflash ur current stock rom via odin)
or if not itz a hareware fault mate .

The method was current stock by Odin. I Re-Installed the stock again but the problem is here still. I think that it come with the software. What do you recommed me?

No one have the same issue - which means yours might be a faulty unit and the camera module fails to activate at times.
Suggest you bring it into the nearest Sony service center for a check.

Can happen if the camera doesn't get released after prior use.
Do you use any other app to take pictures? Directly from FB app? Different camera app?
If nothing holds true you may "repair" your phone by completely reflashing it using Sony PC Companion software.

It happen when camera is doesn't use for a while. I don't know. How often we use camera? When I need to take a photo, Im opening camera app, and I take an error. Then I turn off my phone, turn it on back, and camera works again. I take a few photos, click back button (back arrow), and if I want to take photo in future, I can't.
Bootloader is unlocked, so bring phone to Sony is rather poor idea. Maybe new firmawe, flashed by flashtool will solve my issue?
Have you tried deleting data of the camera app?

Try flashing a rom or reflashing the fw back to stock... If that dont work, you may have to take it back to Sony
Are you rooted? Did you delete any system files??
All you can do is repair your phone with pc companion,if nothing changed than to service.

Ok, so I will flash tomorow new FTF file, but now I have orginal Russian FTF firmware (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2167096) I will try French or UK. Earlier I had polish branded firmware, but I had a bootloop so I had to flash russian FTF. Maybe it's the problem?
Tell me, if it will not resolve of my problem, I will relock bootloader, and Sony will recognize the guarantee? Can I unlock bootloader after?
