Search for custom splash screen in the themes section.
It involves editing 2 png files in the framework-res.apk and being able to resign and push the apk back to the phone

Same here.
I've even taken other animations apart, altered the images using the original png files. Put it all back together and they don't work.
Can't work out what I'm doing wrong.
Any Senior Member or Rom cookers can help us out here plz.!!

Alright... i HOPE someone can hep me with this...
I want to swap out the M logo splash screen @ the initial boot sequence... NOT THE BOOT-ANIMATION... just the M logo! I already have a custom made boot-animation, but i see that its possible to swap the boot animation, just havent seen one yet for the milestone. I looked and looked for almost an hour on google but kept coming up with stuff for the vzw-droid. So that was zero help to me.
If anyone knows of a program or can help me with a step by step, that would be more than awesome!

I needed a custom bootanimation somewhat "linux-style" boot, but somewhat customized for droid. As I didn't found one I like, I created one myself. This is my first and only bootanimation I have done so far (well, just got into changing things to be honest).
So here goes..
Made for 480x854, tested and working very well on my droid.

now i have cyanogen mod 11 (based on android 4.4.2), cococore kernel v 9.x(i d'ont remeber x), i have change the boot animation, but now, i want to change also the splash screen

Splash screen, screen before bootanimation? I think that it needs modifications on kernel. So you can't do it easy. You need change it source, and compile it... If I am wrong someone else will tell the right way.

ok , thanks,(yes , i was telling about splash screen before animation, the written " samsung galaxy s advance gt-I9070", because i have already changed boot animation with a custom )
I see on the web , that it seems to be easy, for example ,sgs2, has also un app on the play store that help you to do this, and there are a lot of guide for other device, like htc, sgs2, ...., , so , i hope someone could tell me how i can do, and i hope it will be easy

Hm, yes I saw on I9000. Some user push jpg image to some partition. But we need to find out what is for our device, and were it is located. I am not sure, I let some developer to get in.

yes it was, but i wasn't able to did , (i have tried all morning, and also it was too difficult to do.....( i only risked to brick my phone, i was very scary , but fortunatly , i was able to reflash my custom rom, and i also had done a back up with titanium)
so, some other guide please ? someone else could help me?
