low volume on calls on MIUI 1.10.14 - HTC Incredible S

i m currently running MIUI 1.10.14 and experienced that the call volume is low even when its on max.. i never experienced such problem on Sense 3.0 or 3.5 roms as on that the call volume was loud enough to hear in a noisy surrounding
but i hardly hear anything on this ROM..
i guess it might be to do something with the radio
i have the version 20.2808.30.085AU_3805.06.03.03_M
someone please help me as soon as possible..

no replies yet..????
people who dont hav such a problem can tell me what version of radio they have installed at least..

It's the kernel...
flash tiamat 1.14 to fix the issue

thank you.. it helped me..

Low Call Volume

Hi,
I just bought a used nexus one with Cyanogen 6.1.1 and 5.08.00.04 radio, and the call volume is too low, barely I can't hear the other side. Is there any tweak that I can make? Should I replace the Rom / Radio / Kernel, or is this a faulty unit?
Thanks.
Try an audio boost kernel or faulty hardware, even though people complain about the boost being too loud....
Install a ROM with the audio boost. Cyanogen or similar.
I already have the Cyanogen 6.1.1 and it don't solve this problem.
Can anyone suggest any 'good' solution? kernel or otherwise to fix this $#@$# 'bug'??
Would really appreciate all the help!

jro03c 4.1.1 beta 3, too bad volume on call with phone heat

Does anyone experience the same porblem with me?
On jro03c 4.1.1 beta 3, I think it's the fastest rom I ever flash, love them all except that It has some problem when I make/receive a call. The volume seem to be too loud like I use speaker. and when I open speaker, the sound is too bad, harsh. And importantly, it heats the phone!! i dunno why?
does anyone know how to avoid this. I know they release beta4 but there is no comment on this problem. So I create a tread here if someone found this problem too, and it would be great if someone know how to avoid it.
Thanks in advance

I found the problem!. it's all from baseband that given with rom. If someone has the same prob. you can easily flash new radio from Siki_dude's thread. After that the problem of phone heat also disappear. =)

cm9-based roms' speaker don't work

the cm9-based roms' (owain, nova, pandroid) sound is EXTERMELY small and broke that even l can't hear the sound
except incall sound and earphone sound (i mean while i jacking my earphone, earphone works fine)
i don't know the reason but i'm sure this isn't any installing problem
CM9 ROM for O2X tend to have lower volume than stock, but not so low as to be complained. I have tried all ROM above and never experienced that.
Maybe something is wrong in your configurations..maybe some app is limiting it.
Or it maybe hardware problem of your speakers!! If you still have warranty, contact the supplier. (Flash stock ROM/unroot before that!!)

Have you checked it after wiping everything and flashing the ROM but without restoring the data? It can be some of you setting that makes sound off, and that specific setting data is recognized in Domination, nova, paranoidandroid but not in stock and other CM9 kangs.
Its a weird problem as actual sound drivers have nothing to do with ROMs. And there is no similar complain in ROM thread either. I guess you just have to work with working ROM and try above ROMs after they get an upgrade.
i have noticed the same. early builds of cm9 the sound was fine (unlocking screen selection etc).. the further on we have got the sound seems to be getting quieter.. only fix i seen was in qwians builds they had a system volume slider in sounds this helped alot with sound. not as good as stock but better than normal cm9..
hope this helps
Im experiencing quite the opposite, cm9 roms seems to have louder sounds compared to cm7.

[Q] In-call mic/low volume problems

Aloha,
When I first noticed this problem, I was using a Sense based ROM, now switched to CM11 and still have it:
Basically at the beginning of any call, people cannot hear me at all, then after 5 sec the problem mostly goes away, they still complain that they hear me as if I'm really quiet or talking out of a sewer but its manageable.
I dont think its a hardware problem, since it gets better after a few seconds, but I am unable to understand where this could be coming from. Is it the ROM, the kernel, radio or something else?
Any help would be much appreciated.
No ideas?
